Yeah, in Thailand it is DANGEROUS to tell a woman how much money she is going to get on your passing. She may speed it up. You really need reverse life insurance with a Thai woman: "You get money to KEEP me alive!"

You'd think they'd be able to copy it's principles of liberty in 200 years in their own country.

I just had that route 66 burger today at Dukes at Maya mall, can't beat the price for that one this month, then I stopped at sweet home coffee for a coffee. I said it before, and I'll say it again. Super nice lady.

Love that sweet lady @13.00. must seek her out if I go there again. Also that restaurant is must, I ate only at the street stalls that crop up at night time. This channel helps us guys who are unaware of what the back streets have to offer. I met some lovely people there (mainly vendors), probably wouldn't remember me, but love their warm welcomes whether you spend a Baht or 500 baht. Cheers Bill.

Most scams are theft by deception, which is still stealing to me. I feel most foreigners go to a different country and just being friendly and making conversation. In the Philippines EVERYONE here always asks me information, its usually not about getting to know you an, its usually to size me and my finances up to have an idea on what they can possible get from me. Just my two pesos.

Duke's is a Chiang Mai institution. The food is always wonderful as are the staff. Fun fact, the Route66 was the first burger they had on their menu, and is the current monthly special.

I got a nice redundancy on my last trip, after I went on my travels a good Thai friend sent me txt just saying I need to tell you something, just don't tell anyone about your payment, of course I said, i would not do that anyway but it was nice someone said that. I dress in $10 t shirts and shorts, most Thais, looking at me would want to make a donation, and that's how I like it. I mean, live simply.

Duke's is my personal favorite. While I enjoyed Route 66 Chaing Mai and was there opening day, some of the food flavors were way off when compared to the food I grew up on as an American.
My food at Route 66 was good , my sandwich I had could have used a little more seasoning though
I remember Dukes about 10 years ago when I was living in Chiang Mai. They even had Thanksgiving Day meals those days. I wonder if they still do that...

I don't think they feed you enough. I would have to bring someone along to split a menu like that with me, but I think that comes with my age now. I believe there is a reason why the wisest men who ever lived, like Buddha and Christ chose poverty for themselves. Something I find perplexing, yet intriguing.

I Have a good one is called PETH LANNA RESTAURANT Only small but food is great have been many times The food stalls are good as well
