    Thanks for posting this. Mine didn’t come with the rotisserie attachment but I ordered one and it arrived yesterday. Will be doing this today for Sunday dinner.

    AWESOME!! I have the Monument 6 burner. It came with the rotisserie kit. Cant wait to try a whole chicken.
    BTW, like you, i do alot of grilling and smoking. IMO, the Monument is a solid high quality homeowner grill. We love ours!!! Just keep it clean and covered!!

      I still have not had any issues with mine, no rust or anything but like you said I always have it covered and it is clean.

    Put an aluminum roasting pan from dollar tree under the chicken to catch all of the juices running off. All of those juices heats up and steams upward continuously seasoning the chicken. It also makes to reduce the chicken drying out on your if you like more color on the chicken skin and edges.

    No pan under the chicken to catch the drippings?

    • @SmokestackJoes
      @SmokestackJoes  หลายเดือนก่อน

      No I have not tried that yet but a lot of people have mentioned it so I may give it a try

    Update.. with my 6 burner, i had to remove the center grates as the chickens were hitting.
    What about a drip pan ?

      I try and get a smaller chicken for this reason but removing the grill grates is a good idea. A drip pan would also be a good idea if it will fit. I will have to give that a try.

      I guess some guys are using a cookie sheet for a drip pan...

      I would of never thought of that, That is probably the way to go. They must make disposable aluminum cookie pan sheets

    If you truss it up, use the skin to cover the neck and breast so the skin doesn't shrink back and allow the breasts to dry out. Also, you have to account for carryover cooking on the heat during the rest...pull it at 158 - 160F and let it rest at least 10 minutes....you did let it rest didn't you?

    • @SmokestackJoes
      @SmokestackJoes  9 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Yes I always let the chicken rest before cutting into it. I like the idea of using the skin to keep the breasts from drying out. I will be giving that a try. Thanks for the comment

    Mate, that knife wouldn't cut butter. Sharpen it.

    Too blonde. Would like it darker.

      Yeah I probably could have gone a little hotter to darken it up. I didnt want to cook it any longer because internal temp was already good so i didnt want it drying out.

    Super nice grill but all reviews state that this grill is very cheap made and starts to rust on the 6 months mark or before . I would to see something this grill with a better SS quality.

      @SmokestackJoes  ปีที่แล้ว

      The downfall to most gas grills is how they rust out. I am sure this one wont be much different. So far mine has been pretty good but I also have a lot of different cookers so im not using it as much.

      @@SmokestackJoes mine is 2 years old and no rust. Some people don't cover it or clean it and expect it to last for years. And NO all the reviews do not say it rusts. By the way it is stainless steel, not no rust steel, all steel rusts if not cared for.
