Funny, they say that he beats les twins yet he lost to Larry, you don't beat les twins unless you beat them both.... Also, Laurent didn't look like he was trying. And yes, I have a crew, just because you beat one person doesn't make you better than my crew.

God...i like The Twins but this fan-based comments make me sick. FIRST of all Twins "called out" J-Boogie. You have to try-hard if you call out somebody...SECOND - J- Boogie is better in House and in Popping, maybe not at a Hip hop 2v2 but at "all styles" les twins arent that good....They have their moves but they dont have the basics like J-Boogie does. So probably they would win a Hip-Hop battle but this All-Style-Battle won J-Boogie. And everybody who dont see that....Stop being Just Fan-boys. Rate dancing cause of dancing not of who you are a fan of..............
Naah ur just a fanboy, les twins are good at what they do, but so overrated by fantards like you who think dancing is all flashy moves with no foundation, les twins have barely any foundation at all, they just mishmash different styles & get away with it because of their personality, musicality & marketability !

+Alex Ryan Apparently J-Boogie called out Laurent and not the other way around (at least according to a friend of mine who said she went to that year's HHI), and if you didn't know, Les Twins' foundation in house dancing is actually stronger than like 90% of the dancers in the all-styles game haha... They only show bits and pieces of it here and there, but I've only seen a few people that impressed me more than them regarding house. Not even Meech impressed me as much and he's good haha
les twins have their own style, they dont follow no crowd. Whilst j-boogie is a good dancing, hes replaceable, les twins arent
let me address CallitHowISeeIt right now. les twins are flappy, twitchy, jerky 'goes nowhere' what? if they just flapped twitched and jerked do you think roc nation would tell them beyonce was looking for them? beyonce LOOKED FOR THEM. they dont look for beyonce. they had something beyonce found alluring to be on her tour. im not flaunting their success bc tbh their rise to fame cause them to be cocky at times. their dancing is diverse; Laurent is better with flexible and impossible moves. he mixes the way he dances with salsa, lucky, breakdancing, dutty wine, old school, freestyle, samba, street dance, and ever twerking for the hell of it. larry is the footwork guru in my opinion. fatherless? really? almost everyone has a dad that they either never met or walked out on them so bringing that up was useless. thanks. skinney jeans? everyone wears skinny jeans!! everyone. les twins were born skinny (so?) and they cant wear regular mens jeans bc skinny jeans suit them better. what can I say. They only called hin out to take his title ... And u know lau wasnt even trying at all ... Thats why he lost to let larry get a turn ... Think about it ... 2(les twins) call him(1 jboogie) out ... So 2 against 1 ... One looses while the other kills jboogie to take his title ...
Wow, guys. J-Boogie clearly won this. Learn how to appreciate other dance styles beside the Les Twin's style. And for those saying J-Boogie is "too aggressive." May I remind you that this is a BATTLE. Look up the definition of the word, "battle." It's a fight. >.>

if you really appreciate dance you should give respect to both dancers..it's not about how much money they make or how many fans they have..it's about the love for dance..
and also j boogie is not just a random dancer..he won the world battles 2011 and is now a member of the lxd..

J-Boogie might hav more styles than the Twins, bt they aren't as clean as the Twins' style. Keep in mind, this is an All-Styles Competition. If Laurent did his best, J-Boogie would've gotten destroyed. In my opinion, neither of them came out on top in dis battle
Do you have any idea what all styles means ? At all ? Do yiu even battle ? It does NOT mean who can do every style. .it means all styles battle under one roof to see who is better at their own style...this makes it possible for a bboy to battle a popper or a krumper vs a hiphop dancer....people who mash styles together always lose, and even though j boggle did multiple styles, it was to mock les twins lack of foundation, which worked since they couldn't respond with one solid concrete style, and saying "I have my own style" is what dancers with no foundation and technique say as an excuse to get away with randomness.

Mayday Oh my o.o my bad bro xD I commented that like a year ago, I was a novice back in the day. But I have grown as a dancer and I do understand where you are coming from. I still believe that there was no winner to this though, because J Boogie had all of these concrete styles and then you have Lauren with his one unique style. In my opinion, it clashes out evenly. But that's just my opinion xP

I just think that j boogie was showing les twins how they lack foundation by demonstrating basic street style foundation....I get what he was trying to tell them...they're nasty but I feel people with solid foundation will put class them.

Legednery , Ive watched many of shows many of dancers ... but ' OMG ' how can anyone compete with that level of technicality and precise movement ' AMAZING ' too even think you stand a chance with this level of genuis in dance ... & youd be a fool too say otherwise
I've been watching these Les Twins for quite some time now and I can clearly see that one was more skillful than the other. The weaker of the two battled J-Boogie. J-Boogie was fantastic but the battle would have been different had the other Les Twin dancer accepted the challenge. Not sure who was going to win because time was limited for both to demonstrate their repertoire.
totally true! laurent rarely smiles when battling. when les twins go hard they will usually stare down their opponent and battle.
Khalid Freeman, I applaud you young brother for understanding the nature of what a "battle" is and how to recognize two good dancers. Each of these men JBoogie & Laurent bring different styles to the table and displayed what makes them who they are in this arena! And yes! nobody wants to see their "favorite" lose but in losing you do get better and learn to prepare for the next SHOWDOWN!!!
Mad props to jboogie. I'm a twins fan, been following them since 08, but jboogie is the first person I've seen truly bring it to them. Great battle, great show, and mad respect for all the dancers

There is a reason they are on tour with Beyonce, were on the MJ Imortal Tour, Touring with World Of dance, winners of Just Deboute, Sponsored by Rocawear, New Era, Elite Force crew, Bobby Mileage, Brooklyn Bombers and more... I am honored to know them and have danced with them...
totaly agree there les twins know alota dif style styles as well but u can barely tell cuz they mix them so well. its not just a showcase of the different styles they know its a one big mix of it all. u learn alota concepts and ideas from dif styles.

What's funny about this is that J-Boogie actually went to a Les Twins workshop in Las Vegas in 2011...
He was WAAAAY more technical than Laurent and did not "steal" any moves, but they all do concepts that existed long before either of the three picked up dance. Les Twins are GREAT at their own style, but they wouldn't win a competition that focuses on just one concrete style, like a tournament that has only breaking, or a locking battle, etc. JBoogie did a few separate styles very cleanly and that's how he won. As for his actions during Laurent's set... it's a BATTLE. Get over it.

JBoogie is disrespectful asf. He was tryna mock Laurent's move while he was dancing..but Lau wasn't mocking him. Then he jumped off the stage at the end like he the shit, like calm yo self. Acting like Lau can't jump off a stage he's did it many times. JBoogie not even that good, this crowd is horrible tho cheering for him instead of my baby like tf is wrong with you? And btw Les Twins are definitely not gay...nowhere near, they just do feminine moves for laughs and to intimidate their opponents.

definition of dancing - to move one's feet or body, or both, rhythmically in a pattern of steps, especially to the accompaniment of music.....so...it's definitely dancing....just because you are more receptive to ticking and popping...doesn't mean that LT doesn't dance...

...and believe me i was like you before, when i started dancing i was a bboy and when i saw a hip hop dancer or a popper i was like " what the fuck he s bad, the breakdancers i know are way better" , know 3 yrs later i grew a lot and i respect every style even when i see a beginner i enjoy watchning him and i m a hip hop dancer myself . Not entirely, but you can look at it that way.
All that matters is perception and results, whether good or bad.
Dance is the most purest form of communication - in the end it is about the emotion that you evoke and the story that you tell to your audience. Jboogie always speaks his mind through his movement....a pure artist & a true storyteller thru his dance....
...something perhaps the Les Twins should consider more carefully in their future dance endeavors.
I have mad respect for Les Twins, but Boogie styled this one out. He had cleaner rounds, more diversity, and he actually battled (just because you're dancing, doesn't mean you're battling). You gotta take your call-outs more seriously, especially against somebody as good as J-Boogie, like him or not.

Lau wasnt supposed to battle Jboohie on this one thats why Larry was up onstage and not Lau but they kept boo'ing so Lau called on JBoogie and got up the stage, if you look at JB though he was just mocking Laus moves, I think that is why Lau didn't take him seriously either.

To clear things up, Larry won the entire competition in the final against J-Boogie. I wouldn't call them cocky, mainly because there isn't really anything to go off that makes them out to be either modest or cocky, and body language isn't really something you can go off of in dancing.
i think it was pretty fair music wise. les twins have been dancing since they were 2 to all types of music. they used to dance ballet and the know some bboy elements like top rocking. they used to pop all the time in their routines and they definitley house dance as you can se laurent doing in the beginning. i just wis this battle had been set up better i feel like laurent was'nt going his hardest because of all of the drama at the beginning.

I wish people would not be lame and tag clear responses as spam. At any rate the battle was a good one. Maybe in the choreography and all styles genre it is different, but with bboying as long as they aren't touching each other then that IS respect. It's a BATTLE and won't always be friendly. Go hard. Smoke someone. That is what it's about. In the vid you can hear DJ Element say "That's a REAL Battle!" and that's the truth. At the end they showed each other love and that was that.
Have to say J-boogie dance the right styles with each song played, and was connecting with the crowed better and was more point on with his dancing telling the story. Never thought I would see a Les Twin get out performed in a battle. WoW!
I agree if Lau doesn't look at you during a battle it's not because he's scared it's because he doesn't think you're a worthy enough opponent...and like you said the twins don't battle other people when they battle. Instead they battle each other..they say it constantly. J boogie thinks way too much of himself if he thinks winning one battle makes him better that Lau.
Im gonna say the same... J-boogie is a great dancer, but he is just a common dancer, he dance with the beat that everybody hear, and Les Twins, c'mon, they dance with all the sounds, if you can see in almost all the videos of les twins, other dancers are kind of confuse with the movements of LT, because they dance with different beats, and that is awesome. Comparing dance with music, other dancers are rockers and Les Twins play JAZZ. AWESOME.
As an USA teen dancer I studied the american hip hop styles and frances Newstyle so I see where both dancers r coming from but I think laurent and lau both won against j boogie

Unfortunately most of people see quality mostly trough results or money. There has to be soul in dance (they both have it) and there are dancers that keep the real hiphop soul in their dance...Twins were interesting new boost to the dance scene last years but there are so much better dancers than them, that don't live out of dance but they do live for the dance.
It was the other way around, J Boogie got called out. Then when it came down to it, they pretended J Boogie was calling them out. Then he still went first
I thought it was kinda obvious that Laurent wasn't actually trying. He was playing around, especially in the beginning.
Have too say i agree here aswell .. He's been more intrested in trying too make them look like fools than actualy think of his strategy of winning .. he shows signs of fustration , he may be a terrific dancer .. but ' LesTwins ' i personally think will be a mark on the history of dance for decades too come
@Marcos Junior that jump is one of Lau's signature moves, during the LT's WOD 2010 San Diego performance he jumped of the stage, he actually did a couple of his moves, the move he did when he squatted down and spinned his arm near his crotch is also another one of Lau's moves.

This is a BATTLE. First of all, Les Twins called J Boogie out and they didn't even make the first move. If you call someone out you have to BRING IT. Second, they're walking away from a battle that THEY STARTED? uhhh...?
Les Twins are GOOD but just because they're good doesn't mean they win ALL THE TIME. J Boogie had more musicality, variety, style (bboy, hiphop, popping, AND locking), attitude, and energy. He BROUGHT it. He deserves the win.

it was actually laurents loss, the original competition was jboogie vs larry and larry won it. but its not the first time laurent couldnt win , in other competition he could not access to the final round. lately i think they are practically umbeatable now
OMFG...... when look at it again it is obvious Laurent beat him, but still respect for both sides it takes mad talent to do what they do and how the skill at which they execute their dance moves!
OK. I'm twins fan, but J-Boogie was absolutely better in this battle. It won't help if you continue to hate him for winning. Battle was great and in my opinion it's not about winning it's about the thing you love and to have fun doing it. Props to J -boogie and Laurent for great battle

Regardless of who you felt should have won the battle (in my opinion I think J-Boogie was the clear winner and I’m a huge Les Twins fan) I think it’s important to keep in mind that you all are taking this WAY more seriously than any of the dancers involved ever did. It’s a friendly competition, why be more angry on someone’s behalf than they themselves were in the moment?
Actually you can in this situation. Because it's the type of battle that calls for it. And I don't mean their dancing style I mean the style of dancing that matches the music. Like housing to house music or popping to popping music etc. They could have won yeah, but I know song selection screwed them. Just felt I probably should have said this earlier. Don't want to step on toes.
twins dance their own style of dance. i dont think they care much about hip hop soul considering they dance to all types of music. thats an american thing thinking that dancing is all about hip hop anyways. if les twins dont live for dance then idk what your talking about. they have been dancing since they were 2 and dropped out of school when they were 15 because they just wanted to dance. Don't make the judgement that they don't live for dance just because they are successful and well known
Well in some older clips I saw Lau always being behind his brother because he would know more of the moves (his brothers and his own). But lately I've seen Lau really stepping up man

I guess you're not a dancer then! I'm tired of people looking for flash and not technique. If you call J Boogie boring something is clearly wrong. I know all these guys personally for I've shared the stage with them all and I know and respect them as dancers but in this scenario which is an All styles battle J Boogie is giving the judges and the crowd what they want. I understand nobody wants to see their heros lose but sometimes they just lose and that's fine. That's how we all get better.
Les twins weren't born with it. 9 out of their 18 siblings have been dancing and those two have danced since they were 2.
While I tend tp agree with you on certain points in a battle it's all about the moves if you use original moves and the other guy doesn't you will win every time!
And criticism toward anything is comparing it to something you think it should look like, which is irrelevant when someone has their own style. Les Twins definitely have their own style so calling them sloppy or not as good as someone else is dumb.

OBVIOUSLY :) you want to be good dancer or better, so then first you have to LOVE dancing, when you love dancing you like enjoy watching every dancers, and even if you don t like you respect their technique cuse you know how hard it is to dance. He was playing a house beat.From @1:34-1:45 Lau was doing house steps. Also, it's an ALL STYLE battle. DJ can play any kind of music and the dancer should be able to adapt to it. I agree the DJ wasn't the best, but please educate yourself on battle and street dance culture.
i think Jboogie has a lot of humor in his dancing, its more entertaining, and i think that when les twins are together, they perfor better because not only are they stronger together, they are also synchronized.

I agree, but for what ever, J-Boogie still won. Maybe it was unfair, but it doesn't matter because les twins, espeacilly laurant show way more passion. And everyone knows who the better dancer really is.

a lot of people talking crap about JBoogie. yea from this video, it makes him look bad....but you were not there. you have to know the whole story and have had to witness it all before you start going off on this video. I also keep seeing "if they would of played a Twins type of song, they would of won" its an ALL STYLES BATTLE! you gotta dance to what ever they put on, and if im correct, the Twins only have one style, maybe 2? All Styles means ALL STYLES!!! its not Open Styles. :)
@pointstuffout I was told by the DJ that Laurent walked up and said something to J that pissed him off and then walked off stage and J called him back after some instigating by DJ Element. It was a cool battle though I just wish I would have known so I could've set up but it was a lot of fun.
