You want the sentry to be able to shoot down. Second, you dont want to be standing between the sentry, and the staircase where the bots walk up. This caused your sentry to fire at you twice. Third, dealing with the sentry busters is quite easy, you just wait for them to begin to detonate, you grab the sentry and back off, and immediately put the sentry back in its original spot. The blast radius of the sentry buster is actually quite small. Fourth, The worse mistake is putting the sentry in a place where it can be shot by the bots, but the sentry can't shoot back. On coal town, which was the map you were playing, you can put the sentry in one of those tall wooden corners near the bomb hatch, with the sentry facing the spawn. Any robot that goes around the corners, will always be in range of the sentry.@@RagerStudios
if in the future you wanna try something new hear me out, put the sentry in the zone here there are the Windows and use the Wrangler, in this case the bots can't reach you but you can shoot them.
