I first heard 'Particle Ghost' and 'Nova Prospekt' when I was just a kid, and they both gave me nightmares for months. I'm 24 now and those songs still give me the creeps.
Fun fact: particle ghost is one of the oldest music in hl2 development

What are you even talking about? Valve already paved the path to HL3 (the actual game might never happen but still). Scene after credits in HL:Alyx shows us that Eli is alive, Gordon is still banging and Alyx... is trapped in stasis as a new G-man "contractor"

Fantastic soundtracks. Really enjoy some of the unique ones. Thank you for this. There is something truly special about Half life and its soundtracks and ambience.

For some reason, Broken Symmetry brings chills down my spine every time I hear it. There's just something about it that gives you a sense of loneliness and danger.
Extinction event horizon is so good.
Partivle ghost and escape array too.
Slow light is the opposite of scary. Sure, it retains some melody lines from scary bois (Requiem for ravenholm) but its actually really calm. It's a huge wave of relief as you step out into the morning sun, finally free of that hellhole they call ravenholm.
Slow Light plays after you defeat the first gunship at New Little Odessa. Particle Ghost plays after Ravenholm.

I don't think we will, because I think he left Valve after Episode 2, but we might hear his music on other games
@@Who24331 He did not leave early as 2007. He did some small work on CS: GO for example, but he might have left after that.
He never left it appears. On wiki it says he has been working for Valve since 98.
@@eirikofholen he left a short time after Episode 2, music for other games have been done by Mike Moroski, he may still work with Valve, but might not do the music for their games anymore

Zero Point Energy Field does play in Half-Life, the part where headcrabs teleport while you're on a lift

Singularity (or Traveling Through Limbo, as named in Half-Life 1) was the scariest one for me. it's one of those video game tracks that makes me feel like I'm going insane. the ambient static and distortions combined with the overall buildup and suspense makes it perfect for capturing a horrific moment.
