DJ KHALID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Seeing “stop breathing” by carti live and hearing the wake up filthy producer tag was a ethereal experience cause all you hear is that little click and then the crazy beat
The “DA got that Dope” is classic, one example I love it in is Em’s song “Gnat”, he used it to start his second verse using the tag and continued the rhyme scheme. the beat is incredible, amazing switch too at the end, a lot of great material from them
I think the peggy producer tag in SICK NERVOUS AND BROKE is a great example of a creative use of a tag too. It sounds as if the tag is being cut off when the beat hits. It essentially uses the producer tag to catch you off guard and get into the beat before it’s expected. It also helps that the beat is absolutely incredible too.
The "Woah Kenny" at the start of Foot Fungus feels like your bro saying "lets jump in" and then you both drop into the biggest pool of bass you've ever heard
11:32 i kinda figured Pharrell had produced "Alright" based on the four count, but i was real surprised when i found out that's him delivering the chorus as well. It seems so outside his register that I didn't notice for a while.
i cannot BELIEVE that will.i.am's "Scream and Shout" wasn't mentioned in this. the tags before the drop are fucking amazing, it makes me come listen to it everyday
Absolutely amazed nobody mentioned Lex Luger's tag on Hard In Da Paint. First song I thought of when I saw this video, leads in to the opening hook perfectly
The kind of “eeeh” on Danny Brown’s Dirty Laundry, I didn’t even realise that was like a tag for Q-tip before that song but remember it a lot throughout the last ATCQ album
I also want to add Daytrip's tag on Life is Not the Same from James Blake. The slowed down version of it on top of the almost haunted background vocals from Blake just just adds to the track's heavy melancholic tone
Since we bringing up JID, "Chase the money" on Off Deez gotta be my favorite, it fits so well with the vibe of the track and how chaotic it is, it took me a while to even realize it was a tag and not an ad lib
Honestly I hoped someone would bring up "IT'S DEATH- DEATH- DEATH- DEATH- DEATH-" that Death Grips use. Its always hype as fuck when it comes up. My fav is definietly Cut Throat, even though its just an instrumental it goes crazy hard
“Oh my god Ronnie” on carbonated water fit perfectly with the sample used at the beginning of the song the first time I listened to it I didn’t even realize it was there 10/10
"Listen to these tracks bitch" Especially on no hands from roscoe dash. I am shocked no one mentioned how important that tag is to the feel of that song. I hope it came up in stream cause that tag is massive on that song Especially. And of course "damn whered you find this" is a certified hood classic.
Wish you'd heard Dem Jointz's "Incoming" on EXO's Obsession instead, I think that song is more of the subtle vibe you're into and I think it actually works really well with the unsettling vibe of the song
As much as I don't like the man's behavior as of late, I do 100% agree with this, it was so seamless and it fitted the song so well. I get goosebumps every time.
The first time I became aware of the concept of producer tags was during Japanese rapper Kohh's Dirt Boys II with the Murasaki Beatz tag before the drop. Worth checking out if nobody's heard it before
'haunted mound reapers' with hackle by sematary with the 'hauntaholics' tag and 'haunted mound' tags during the song really pull it together and makes it a relatively fun listen.
Obviously this is new, but I feel like the pure lack of mastering on JD Wrist by Westside Gunn truly elevates all the Trap-a-holics noises happening. Truly a new-age classic
my favorite example of a great producer tag moment would have to be the ronny j tag on jasiah’s ‘shenanigans’. it’s quick, it’a playful, and it almost sounds like jasiah’s responding to her immediately when the chorus kicks in (“i don’t care care about your man, i don’t give a fuck”). it’s one of ronny’s cleanest tags.
Got to give my favorite to a mashup artist, pluffaduff, for his ingenious use of "Pluff, are you _kidding_ _me?"_ , a quote from a streamer reacting to one of his mashups. Best seen in I WANT MISERY, where it comes in just before Misery Business' beat kicks in.
I’m pretty sure knowing the Pharrell 4 beat signature I was able to recognize it on on of Kendrick’s songs. I think it was Mr. Morale with the 4 yells, and I’m pretty sure he produced it as well
I really like who killed XIX's 'b-b-boxcutters', (At least I assume it's their tag?) they throw it in before the beat kicks into high gear in a few songs and it works really well. In, "I love glitchcore" they mix it into the lyrics too (b-b-boxcutters in my pocket thats the murder weapon)
Literally every time DJ muggs throws in a tag its chills bro He always picks the perfect moments to sneak an "assassinssss" or a "SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOULLLLLL assassinsss"
Totally different genre and a throwback to some UK wobbles but the "killa killa Zed's Dead" at around the 25 second mark in Bassmentality by Zed's Dead and Killabits is timeless
It's a loon, which is a bird, and yeah it's sick. Goes really hard on the Polyphia songs he's produced, notably on GOAT where it really fits the vibe, and recently on Reverie
Can't believe I didn't think of this when I saw the post, but Tobi Lou's "yes" is usually incorporated pretty well. Tobi produces most of his own songs and as such can say other things before hand that have the same effects on them, like in hot tub dream machine. My favourite use of his tag is on 2hrs+ ft t-pain at 48 seconds where it repeats the first half twice. It's just a really good tag that he always adds in the perfect part of the song. Also in that song is his secondary tag, his "ooh" (that he says in a specific way), which comes in fittingly after saying "just cuz you posted a picture don't mean you pro black"
My pick would have to be Scrims producer tag on A little trauma can be illuminating, and I’m shining like the sun. The way it leads into the ethereal ass beat is just perfect
since you mentioned nct, k-hiphop has a lottt of great and catchy producer and rapper tags. and they'd mix it up for collabs too, for instance, the producer/rapper gray's tag is just him saying "gray" in a raspy voice and dpr live's tag is "coming to you live" so in their collab track, action, the tag goes "coming to you gray" lmao that shit blew my mind
This one's more underground, but I love the tag used in Jarren Benton's "Slow Motion Intro" at the start where he's talking about how he's back to rapping, as it transitions beautifully from him talking into "K-K-Kato on the track, bi-" especially since he's the one who says it even though it didn't actually originate from this song.
Wish I would’ve suggested it, but Kai Whiston’s tag on his song Mushy Seize is a perfect example in my mind. The odd, dancey fake out piano intro that falls into warped oblivion, followed by that tag and the weird but hard ass beat that comes after is crazy.
Probably not a super popular one but the tag in between DaBaby and Lil Wayne on Lonely. It’s a good fill between the two styles. I think it works double as a tag and adlib
one I don't think anyone else has mentioned is the Imotape tag on Somniphobia by Afourteen and Teenage Disaster. the low and ominous "imotape productions" just sets the tone right away for one of the most beautifully painful songs I have ever heard.
one that's very underrated is from multiple producers that make pluggnb beats like xangang and goyxrd, "I told you, I-, I told you, don't fuck with me" is sampled from Scarface and it just works so well idk why, Nina! by Autumn! is a perfect example and always the first that comes to mind
That 4 repeats at the beginning of songs is more of a Neptunes thing. They've been doing that for years. Pharrell probably just does it on his own too.
I would have added DJ Smokey’s “Legalize Nuclear Bombs.” A tag so controversial yet so brave
Maybe even “call the fire department, we just nuked the building”
KIRBYMANE TRIPLE6 BROTHER
I love this man’s tags
BEES MAKE HONEY
SWAG MESSIAH
"Mustard on the beat" at the start of Not Like Us has probably taken the throne. Seeing people's faces when that tag dropped was amazing.
The entire first verse wouldn't exist without it
DJ Khalid definitely has the most emotional producer tag. What a great producer who definitely produces all of his stuff! 10/10 no one else compares
He the best music
another one
GOD DID
Definitely
DJ KHALID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bobby Shmurda's 'Hot *****' "Jahlil Beats" tag is also a great one! Absolutely Iconic.
@@essketit-vp7bk hot *****, it says it right there?
who was hot
Hot Individuals of African Descent
hot fella
I was lookin to see if anyone said this, iconic 100%
Seeing “stop breathing” by carti live and hearing the wake up filthy producer tag was a ethereal experience cause all you hear is that little click and then the crazy beat
Bro it went absurd at RL Miami, instant mosh to start the performance off, crowd erupted instantly. Top tier producer tag.
The “DA got that Dope” is classic, one example I love it in is Em’s song “Gnat”, he used it to start his second verse using the tag and continued the rhyme scheme. the beat is incredible, amazing switch too at the end, a lot of great material from them
Damn been a while since I heard that song. When I heard that I line I was very impressed
That tag in G herbo's PTSD getting a little repeat too right before juice comes in is wild
nah bro has a NMH pfp and is talking about DA got dat dope, this is why i love the diversity of music!!
Making my 5-2pm shift today more bearable thanks Brad!
Thought it said shit not shift and was like damn that’s a long ass shit sesh
As a dude half way in a 11:30a-8pm, I agree.
bro going backwards in time
Jesus 5 to 2pm???????
I think the peggy producer tag in SICK NERVOUS AND BROKE is a great example of a creative use of a tag too. It sounds as if the tag is being cut off when the beat hits. It essentially uses the producer tag to catch you off guard and get into the beat before it’s expected. It also helps that the beat is absolutely incredible too.
One of his most underrated songs too fr
all of Peggy's tags are creative asf, I really like the one on TRUST. he always does something interesting and unique for every track
The "Woah Kenny" at the start of Foot Fungus feels like your bro saying "lets jump in" and then you both drop into the biggest pool of bass you've ever heard
"Woah Kenny!" on _Diet is sooooo memorable to me. It fits great!
Kenny the 🐐
“IT’S DEATH DEATH DEATH DEATH DEATH” from Death Grips is my favorite producer tag.
*_MOVE SOME_*
That Ronny J tag on PAT almost makes the song for me, Just the perfect segue into the most aggressive headbanging you can muster every single time
I’m so happy it made the list. First song I thought of.
DistantCry is a GOAT!
Also, I did not know that the Pierre Bourne producer tag came from the Jamie Foxx show.
That phone vibration is 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
you know the beat is fire when the animal noises show up like a zoo breakout
Brad’s way of reading comments never fails to amaze me. He is the only person I have ever seen read the top of his screen and not the middle.
11:32 i kinda figured Pharrell had produced "Alright" based on the four count, but i was real surprised when i found out that's him delivering the chorus as well. It seems so outside his register that I didn't notice for a while.
Do you not listen to his solo work?
you mean the voice in tha back during "alls my life i had to fight" is pharell?? damn ian know that thats crazy
@@RegisteredLate123he said the chorus. he means the “we gon be alright” part
Sematary's 'tags' are hilarious, in a good way. Murder Ride goes so hard.

Absolutely amazed nobody mentioned Lex Luger's tag on Hard In Da Paint. First song I thought of when I saw this video, leads in to the opening hook perfectly
FLOCKA
Yeah having a producer tag list without Lex Luger is actually crazy, easily the most iconic and one of the earliest examples
Yo bro, love putting your vids on my phone and listening to them as if they were a podcast. Makes my job a bit more beareable, keep up the good work!
the 2010 ranking videos came thru to get me through some shit at work
don’t try listening to the kidz bop streams, it made my shift 3x longer 😭 the rest of his videos are clutch
brad talking about sematary is something i never thought i would see
So real
I've been listening to Pharrell since Frontin' my Millennial Ass marked out when I heard it. 🤦🏾
After watching Brad suffer from AJR for 7 hours, watching him just enjoying music and having a good time is refreshing lmao
Whatchu Say - Jason Derulo surely. Had kids walking around saying JJJJJR with not a clue as to why.
Honestly I hoped someone would bring up "IT'S DEATH- DEATH- DEATH- DEATH- DEATH-" that Death Grips use. Its always hype as fuck when it comes up. My fav is definietly Cut Throat, even though its just an instrumental it goes crazy hard
YES
the instrumental tag too like the synth chops UGHHJ
Pharrell’s 4 beat on Alright is great but Milkshake is indisputably the most iconic I think.
“Oh my god Ronnie” on carbonated water fit perfectly with the sample used at the beginning of the song the first time I listened to it I didn’t even realize it was there 10/10
the "woah kenny" on ski mask the slump god's foot fungus always hits so hard imo
I'm glad to see that you got your headphones fixed Brad, they even changed color!
Thanks Brad for making my 4pm to 7am job more bearable
"Listen to these tracks bitch"
Especially on no hands from roscoe dash.
I am shocked no one mentioned how important that tag is to the feel of that song. I hope it came up in stream cause that tag is massive on that song Especially.
And of course "damn whered you find this" is a certified hood classic.
Surprised no one mentioned any Rico nasty track where she yells “KENNNNNNNYYYY”
YOOOOO SUCH A GOOD PULLL!!! her tags go crazyyyy
Peggy sold me on tags, You Think You Know Me is so iconic
Wish you'd heard Dem Jointz's "Incoming" on EXO's Obsession instead, I think that song is more of the subtle vibe you're into and I think it actually works really well with the unsettling vibe of the song
I'd also add Lord I Need You off Donda. 'Wheezy Outta Here' kicks off the drums into the final chorus pretty calmly in a way that really works.
As much as I don't like the man's behavior as of late, I do 100% agree with this, it was so seamless and it fitted the song so well. I get goosebumps every time.
@@johnpatriots21 Jfc do we really have to bring up his recent behavior every goddamn time he's mentioned anywhere?
@@jpns007 sure idk, if you want to ig
I see Lebron so that means DistantCry must be in here somewhere. Legendary producer, legendary tag
"This is a dolla bill beat" right before the drop in Meek Mill's Blue Notes still sends chills to this day
"Oh my god Ronny" usually hits hard
Especially on Ski's songs. The "Oh my god Ronny" at the start of LA LA was is iconic to me.
One tag that I think is also worth mentioning is Zedd's tag in Katy Perry's Never Really Over, actually works with the theme of the track really well.
I'm glad you finally gave Big Baller B the spotlight he so rightfully deserves
bro entered draingang for a second 😭😭 16:35
The “gangsta grillz” in HOT WIND BLOWS before Wayne’s verse goes insane
Honestly the "Ronny J, listen up" on Ultimate by Denzel Curry goes hard and is very iconic.
Obviously this is new, but I feel like the pure lack of mastering on JD Wrist by Westside Gunn truly elevates all the Trap-a-holics noises happening. Truly a new-age classic
Bra-Bra-Bra-Bra-Bradley took it to ten!!
Call me stuck in middleschool all you want, but the producer tag on Ridin Solo by Jason Derulo really adds to the song and hypes it up alot
my favorite example of a great producer tag moment would have to be the ronny j tag on jasiah’s ‘shenanigans’. it’s quick, it’a playful, and it almost sounds like jasiah’s responding to her immediately when the chorus kicks in (“i don’t care care about your man, i don’t give a fuck”). it’s one of ronny’s cleanest tags.
Reversible - Rome streetz, tagged by conductor Williams, insane flips all thru out
Got to give my favorite to a mashup artist, pluffaduff, for his ingenious use of "Pluff, are you _kidding_ _me?"_ , a quote from a streamer reacting to one of his mashups.
Best seen in I WANT MISERY, where it comes in just before Misery Business' beat kicks in.
Another perfect example is the "Amadou!" Tag in the beginning of john cena's theme. That shit is not the same without that.
I’m pretty sure knowing the Pharrell 4 beat signature I was able to recognize it on on of Kendrick’s songs. I think it was Mr. Morale with the 4 yells, and I’m pretty sure he produced it as well
in a rly bad spot rn and watching all of ur vids has rly been helping me, hope all is well
Dj mustards tag is pretty good
Really enjoy these topic videos, great work and thanks for making more!
Gravy Train by Yung Gravy has a pretty seamless producer tag at the beginning, it flows real smooth before the beat kicks in.
I always loved that tag too! It’s so smooth everytime it comes up. XIX are great at that.
bones okaybutthisisthelasttime
the tag just hits so hard before the drop
PAT with the buildup and the SGP sample really elevated it to a whole nother level
Another great example of the Pharrell tag is on Juggernaut by Tyler the creator. It just hypes the whole song up by itself lmaooo
Literally every time DJ muggs throws in a tag its chills bro

the metro boomin tag at the end with future singing the first verse is just amazing
That Nextel chirp followed by "wake up filthy" is hard af
I like Y2Ks tag which is just owls howling I think? Really sets the mood. Works well in his toxic remix.
It's a loon, which is a bird, and yeah it's sick. Goes really hard on the Polyphia songs he's produced, notably on GOAT where it really fits the vibe, and recently on Reverie
On the New BabyTron Bin Reaper 3, the best producer tag gotta be Peter Griffin saying “Your Not Making this Easy Kyle” for ByeKyle it’s nuts.
All this time I thought the first words of just dance were "red wine" oops
How about "Conductor, we have a problem!" from Conductor Williams' tracks, especially on Rome Streetz's new album?
Can't believe I didn't think of this when I saw the post, but Tobi Lou's "yes" is usually incorporated pretty well. Tobi produces most of his own songs and as such can say other things before hand that have the same effects on them, like in hot tub dream machine.

here after Not Like Us with its perfect producer tag and reference
“Wake up filthy” is great on a hype beat
My pick would have to be Scrims producer tag on A little trauma can be illuminating, and I’m shining like the sun. The way it leads into the ethereal ass beat is just perfect

The "Griselda" tag in the song Johnny P's Caddy by Benny and Jcole is one of my favorites. stands out in the best way possible
mo bamba has a great beat, and that daytrip took it to ten just elevates it
Carbonated Water be Ski Mask The Slump God is easily my favorite. It was so slick I had to pause and process it the first time I heard it drop
HDMI by bones has a great "Sesh" callout
j dilla in the beat switch on gazzillion ear, mf doom's voice is just so menacing with the eerie beat goes hard
Big Sean's Voices In My Head/Stick To The Plan drop is also dope as hell
Carbonated Water by ski mask got the best use of the ronny J tag
2010s Producer tags are just on another level, 2010s were just a fun year
it was a decade
"DYKrazy", "Wake up Filthy", the Metro Boomin "woman laugh" and sword sheath sound, "Yo Pierre", are my favs so far. There's just so many to list.

Legalize nuclear bombs goes so hard every time you hear it at the beginning of a song you already know it’s gonna be a masterpiece

That 4 repeats at the beginning of songs is more of a Neptunes thing. They've been doing that for years. Pharrell probably just does it on his own too.
