I was actually looking at a ladder like that but have some other things I want done first but then decided to try and climb up on the rear folded seat and rear bumper. I'm only 5'8" tall and really don't need a ladder to reach things on the roof. I guess it'll look cool at the mall. On the other hand, I have a ladder on my full size van to reach the roof rack on it.
A handle at the top of that ladder would have been a nice concept to assist getting up on it, looks well made, thanks for the install video, well done. :)
I went with the regular roof rack and the ladder as well. It was tough to choose between lo pro or not but I liked having options. As for the ladder, seems like a lot of mixed feelings and hate but I like the convenience of hopping up and down instead of shimmying from the side whenever I have to gear up. If it saves me one tumble or fall it's definitely worth it. It's also another mounting point for tanks and other gear 😁
after a snorkel, a ladder on your 4Runner is the most worthless mod you can do. between the rear bumper and rock slider`s you can reach anything you might have on top of your vehicle. even if you mount a tent up there they come with a ladder that is truly useful. people get a snorkel and a ladder because they look "cool". I know several people who found Westcott designs products to be light duty. the ladder will also affect your field of view on your rear view camera.
No issues backing up into my garage at all. The purpose is for the RTT I have is a clamshell style and it will be perfect to access the largest opening on it with the ladder.
Use my WD ladder all the time and have no issues backing up. Don't hate because you got a low quality ladder on yours and it's broke and rusted out already.
Love the looks of that ladder and roof rack combo. Especially with the dark tail lights. Well done Sir 👍
Thanks 👍 I appreciate it David!
Great video on this ladder. Thanks for showing up close its quality and sturdiness. Definitely on my wish list!
No worries. I’m glad it helped

Gobble gobble. That low pro rack is fire 🔥
Thanks! Love the combo of the two
Whoo, first! Happy thanksgiving!!
You too!
Great job on the video Jon! Thanks for making it.
Of course. Thank you for watching
I honestly thought you had to drill or something into the truck to install one, good video
Thanks 👍
Absolutely love it. 🤙
Awesome, thank you!
Always enjoying your videos. What was your reason to replace LFD rack with Westcott Designs rack?
Just wanted to try something new and go full length

It’s actually super easy to grab the sides to hoist yourself up.
@@TRDJon That's good to hear Jon, thanks. Dr. Fuss-Bug out. :)

Yea and I looks cool. And if you really overland it is another spot for storage and hanging things too
Unfortunately others have free shipping I am not paying 200 for shipping.
Was hoping the upgraded struts would have more power. I really like the ladder though.
I’m sure there are even more aggressive than this
Great looking ladder. Sound deadening material in the tailgate? Did you make a video about that?
I did yes. It’s maybe two years old of soo
@@TRDJon Thanks TJ...I'll look for it.
What rear lift gate shocks are you using to compensate for the extra weight of the ladder?
Is the only It's difference between offroad and pro, the roofrack and shocks ? And people removing roof rack for better one anyway.
Can you point me into the direction into that sound dampening product in the interior hatch?
Nice addition
Thanks!!
Well done looks Soo Good!
Thanks Ryan!
Hey Jon, where did you get the gray overlays for 4Runner and Toyota emblems. Thanks
Another great video!!! Has the 12.3 inch infotainment system been installed yet?
Not yet. On the list still. I freaking dropped it and scratched it….
@@TRDJon oh no!!! I can’t wait to see it though!
Great video! Where did you get the grey overlays?
That’s plasti dip
Please how long the waiting time from you place an ordered to shipp the ladder?
Man I honestly can’t remember
is it available in aluminum???
The ladder is aluminum👍
@@westcottdesigns ZOMG!!! Awesome thank you!
Correct!
I'm confused. What exactly is the point of the ladder?
If you actually use your 4R for overland and you have items on your roof, it is easier to get to.
❤ good looking ladder!!! What’s your discount code? 😅
There's a Black Friday sale on Westcott Designs website right now. But they generally don't do discounts on their stuff.
I don’t have one but they have a Black Friday sale hitting tomorrow
@@TRDJon Awesome thanks
Does the ladder affect the rear view camera at all?
Only at night I’ve noticed it reflects a little of it with the light.
Could this be installed on the passenger side?
You’d have to ask westcott designs. They have an amazing customer service. Let them know my video sent you their way.
Where did you get the third brake TRD Pro overlay?
Ebay
Such a stout ladder with useable steps.
100% it is
Do you know if that will fit a 2019 Highlander?
No it won’t
That bolt up top in between the hinge is fucking stupid
Классная тачка👍

What a stupid thing to say.
@@RLTW_03 he probably got it from ebay, which came from china, that also took 4 months to get delivered. 😂
Worthless to you but to some it may be an essential component with how their rig is set up and how they utilize it. Don’t be so judgmental.
