All members of Mamamoo are technically stronger vocalists than the other RV members (maybe Moonbyul = Seulgi, but I'm not 100% sure), with the exception of Wendy (she's like the best singer of this generation). Plus, they also do harmonies just like RV does. I don't know, maybe I misunderstood your comment? But this is just my opinion.

@@missyverah8444 Yes I'm Jihyo biased, but if you ever see anyone that really knows about vocal technique, they put Jihyo above Seulgi and Jeongyeon right behind her. Jihyo and Seulgi are very much on the same level but in 2020 alone, Jihyo has shown so much improvement. She started showing support on her C5s, shown headvoice above D5(her previous highest) and had a connected A5 in fanfare and connected Bb5 in Can't Stop Me (in one of the comeback vlogs, you can even hear her sing the Bb5 live, though it did sound a lil pushed). A few years ago I would've definitely agreed that Seulgi should be ranked higher than Jihyo but she's showing consistent and substantial improvement.
@dilyn Dumalag for being a main vocal you need have a decent amount of support. Jennie has shown support but that's extremely rare. Honestly she really needs to stop pushing her chest register so much, it's really going to damage her cords. Pushing has never benefited anyone

I personally think Jeongyeon and Joy are better than Jennie and are at least on par with Nayeon if not better. The three of them should be above Rose. Mina, in my opinion, is slightly better than Jennie.
@Daddy pig lover I wouldn't say Seulgi and Jihyo are on par. Jihyo is slightly better. Jihyo has better technique, placements, belts, dynamics, mixed register, tone and power than Seulgi. She supports B4 while Seulgi's support stops at Bb4 and she strains B4 Seulgi is a way more nasal than Jihyo Jihyo phrasing the 5th octave is also worth considering thanks to her good placement around C5/C#5, and Seulgi never executed this neatly ( At least, of course, I never haven't seen her doing it ) I respect your opinion, of course. There’s not much to say about Wendy since we can all collectively agree that she is the one of the best vocalists in k-pop and overall. That girl is just another level of talent! As for Jihyo; I think she’s better than what JYP projects off of her. It’s almost like she’s forcing it to stay in a certain way and not go any deeper if that makes sense? Overall, Jihyo is a great vocalist but she better rest her chords. Lastly Rosé, she’s not as bad as most people make her out to be. Yes she has difficulties projecting it at times and it can sound somewhat whiny or unnatural but that doesn’t change the fact that her voice is... beautiful? I can’t even describe it because it’s just pleasing to hear, so soft and angelic almost.
I think that you are right about Rosé, that her voice is soft and angelic. But try listening to her duet from her predebut with Gdragon- Without you . I get goosebumps everytime I listen to it 😀

I have always said wendy is the best main vocalist if third generation in Kpop. Of course we have another queens like mamamoo and lee hi and so many others but Wendy's voice is no.1 in more aspects like it's so powerful yet so soothing,and it's so effortlessly beautiful

Cuz if its breath support and projection Wendy has better support and if its reaching for high notes, Wendy can go up to Eb7 in head voice while Yuju can only go up to E5 in head voice. Jennie isn't stable at live performances idk why she puts it in there. And also jennie isn't versatile. She seems shouting when singing live specially when there's high notes. I think the reason Jennie is higher because her voice are so perfect in Blackpinks concept more than Jisoo (like remember when jisoo mostly have lowest parts) and also their producer always make Jennie's Voice stand out in their song I think that's the reason. also her harmony isn't good actually, In Blackpink Jisoo has the best harmonization than all of them, and we should keep in mind that harmony is a very important when it comes to vocals. Also I noticed that this rankings have mostly high note singer at the top which makes it obvious that it wasn't a full vocal ranking. Also I think Irene should be higher than her rank by maybe 2-4. Her voice is so great y'all should atleast listen to The Only byRaiden and Irene that song is obviously Irene's solo. (it was all her vocals)
REDVLEVET IS GREAT AT VOCAL we all know that WENDYs voice is sooo angelic and the BEST in whole K-POP. SEULGI is best as lead vocal her voice are sooooo GOOD with STRONG VOICE and JIHYO TOO. rose also very great at vocal but jihyo is MORE. no hate i stan 3 of them .

irene has shown her potentials in the last album in the sub unit. she’s stable, has a husky unique voice, and her vocals are over the average. it’s sad as a reveluv to see irene being always forgotten when it comes to her talents whereas when visual is mentioned everyone shouts irene. i hope she’ll be recognised as a singer one day.
Yep so many people under estimate Jeongyeon's vocals. She is the lead vocalist of Twice for a reason, and tbh one of the strongest lead vocals in the 3rd generation.

But as a vocal trained person for 4 years now, I really need to show the truth to people. 1. Wendy: Do I even need to say something?? Technique ✔️, vocal range ✔️, stability ✔️, tone ✔️, projection ✔️ she's a powerhouse vocalist. Soprano, (Eb3 - C#5 - Eb7) 2. Seulgi/Rosé/Jihyo: Hear me out, a lot of people are degrading rosé just because of her nasally voice and her 2018 mr removes, well you need some lessons. Rosé is an amazing vocalist, her vocal range is one of the biggest ones I know, her tone is perfect too, her technique holds her back tho, she has amazing projection too, yes she's unstable but you can hear her voice clearly. Rosé's technique is the main reason for why she's unstable, her voice is pushed out from the nose instead of the diaphragm, a lot of singers have nasal voices but they have natural nasal voices so they don't face these problems, While dancing obviously when you have to sing from your mouth and apply force from your nose your gonna have trouble breathing that's why rosé doesn't have as many sustained notes as highnotes, her stamina has become low, but instability isn't really a factor for becoming a good vocalist, yes it's necessary for being a kpop idol otherwise you see western singers who are legends but they are usuall out of breathe aswell, that doesn't make them bad singers, instability and low stamina is natural but doesn't affect you so much. Otherwise rosé is a very capable vocalist, if she corrects her technique she can be even better. Seulgi, has an amazing technique, projection and tone. She lacks vocal range tho, I haven't seen her attempt any notes higher than a normal C5. Or that I don't know RV very well but I know that she lacks vocal range, but she has an amazing lower register tho. Jihyo, I find her technique a bit lacking, she seems to take in a lot of breaths when singing probably cuz she was a trot singer before, but her vocal range is very high, but she has done lower notes than higher ones, she does lack stamina, her tone is good, amazing projection. Seulgi: mezzo soprano (E3 - Bb5 - D6), Jihyo: Soprano (C#3 - A5 - Bb6), Rosé: Soprano (D3 - A4 - E5) 3. Joy: Joy is another capable vocalist, great sense of pitch control, technique isn't my favourite but I guess it works with her vocal colour, Vocal range is standard, She does lack in breathe control and runs, a lot may overlook her vocal strength bcz of her breathy tone but I find it her biggest attraction. Joy: Soprano (G5 - A4 - G#6) 4. Jeongyeon/Jisoo/Nayeon: Jeongyeon has a very strong voice, very good projection, vocal range is average but not bad, tone is perfect, good stamina and stability ofc, I prefer her with sustained notes rather than higher ones or lower ones, her lower register is still much better, she has a good base. Jisoo, omg I'm gonna explode, I've had enough of people sleeping on her, Jisoo's technique is lacking, although better in Blackpink, she has a breathy technique too, she lacks projection but overall her tone is amazing, versatile voice fit for every genre, strong and amazing vocal range, good control, nice flow. She's a very good vocalist if she works on her technique and projections, although I doubt she'll be able to do as many sustained notes bcz of her technique, she sometimes strains her voice a lot when reaching certain points although the tone and resonance is perfect, again it's bcz of her breathy technique which if she corrects she can reach them easily. Nayeon, her voice is also nasally (natural tho), strong, versatile, good vocal range, good stamina, nice tone, good projection and control. I believe she can sing in falsetto easily, she already reached a similar note in dance the night away if only she corrected her technique she could've done it a long time ago, although people like to compare her to jeongyeon, she has a better vocal range and ability than jeongyeon, but she has a better technique which is why when reaching the notes that even Nayeon has done, she makes them sound better and smoother even tho Nayeon can reach higher but holds back bcz of her technique, but nayeon has improved a lot and can reach an effortless falsetto although she has the same issue with joy bcz she has breath control and control issues. Jisoo: Soprano (C#3 - E4 - F6), Nayeon: Soprano (G#3 - Bb5 - E5), Jeongyeon: Mezzo soprano (C#3 - A4 - D5) 5. Lisa/Mina/Chaeyoung/Yeri: I don't know why people think of Lisa as Korea's worst vocalist. I am completely unbiased but I find her vocals to be amazing, she can be a lead vocalist very easily. Vocal range is amazing although she lacks in the chest register but a E4 for a soprano is pretty good, very good tone, technique is fitting her vocals,she may be a sub vocal but omg she didn't come to play, can work on her stamina and projection. Mina, very very very very good vocal range, for an average vocalist she's very good, stamina high as well, projection needs work, good technique, a lot might think her voice is flat cuz she has a head voice based voice but you can feel her vocal strength still. Versatile voice, good tone. Chaeyoung, underrated queen over here, good technique, good vocal range, versatile voice, good tone, projection is good too, not the strongest voice but in the middle. I spent two days stalking RV and their getting into their vocals and abilities, and I have to say I have been living under a rock cuz these girls are talented. Yeri, very very very good vocal range, good tone, projection lacks but she suits the lines she gets, technique, average. She suits good with R&B and ballads, bcz I think her lower register is amazing. Lisa: Soprano (C#3 - E4 - D6), Mina: Soprano (G#3 - E4 - F#5), Chaeyoung: Mezzo Soprano (E3 - Bb5 - D6) 6. Irene: Like I said, after two days of stalking and getting into RV, I really underestimated her, I listened to their hidden vocals and her voice is very angelic. Projection lacks just like Yeri, technique again is average, she has a better vocal range, better high and sustained notes than lower ones, I really hope she gets a sustained note cuz she can do it bcz of her chest mixed technique. Good control, her starting verse in Zimzalabim is quite hard to balance. (also is she the one who screamed at the start of RBB?) Soprano (G#3 - C5 - D6) 7. Sana/Tzuyu: Sure Sana has a very cute voice in twice's songs, but it's not it, she has a smooth voice with a good base she needs to work on her control and projection. Otherwise her tone is okay, vocal range... not the best but it's okay. Tzuyu, average vocal range, good tone, needs to work on projection and control. Tone is okay, although I find her voice to be a bit flat, but that's probs because of her technique. These two need to work on their technique and then they'll be a lot better. Sana: Mezzo soprano (G#3 - Bb4 - D5), Tzuyu: Mezzo soprano (G3 - Bb4 - D5) 8. Jennie/Dahyun: OMG where to begin. Very very lacking. Yes, she has a good tone and projection which may sound like she has a "powerful" or strong voice but it isn't, those things are useless without a good vocal range, technique and control which Jennie doesn't have. I understand that she's a rapper and has a husky voice so she blends in well with her songs, but she's seriously lacking and the lines that they have given her are too hard for her vocal range, probably why she ends up screaming in their lives bcz she can't reach them, her technique needs work too, she puts in too much resonance and ends up sounding hoarse, control too cuz well... if she had that she wouldn't be screaming. Dahyun, soft, delicate and smooth voice. Vocal range needs work, even when rapping she has the same tone and kinda sounds awkward, but she kills in ballads, projection, needs work, control, needs work, I think that's why she became a rapper. Momo: She has the same technique as Rosé, even tho a lot think momo is very bad, she's not the best obviously but honestly, she's not the worst either, She can sing decently, atleast keep up with the others, i kind of know why momo was made into a vocalist and why she got the cute voice, maybe to fit the group's concept but maybe also cuz momo had very less control on her natural voice, if you hear her rapping pre debut or in their debut album she didn't have a lot of control on her voice, she talked fast but that was it, being able to train for rapping is quite harder than a vocalist, momo probably wasn't able to keep up but I didn't find her voice suitable for rapping tbh, talking fast is one thing, she CAN rap. But even if I judge her vocals without her nasal technique, she still lacks vocal range, probably good in the chest register but not so far ahead in that either, technique with or without nasal pressure is not good, control like I said was very bad. anit suga Sorry, I don't know a lot about red velvet but from what I heard Yeri's low register is very good, but she doesn't do that well with highnotes. She lacks technique and her voice is very monotoned and I am really sorry, but it's a bit flat. She sounds great in the lines they are given. Ofc she isn't a bad singer, but obviously compared to ones above her they have more favour in some areas. But she isn't bad at all, I do want her to get more lines tho.
Red velvet's vocals are no joke. I love jisoo cause she is my bias wrecker but I don't like some of her parts cause she sounds like she is trying to hit a high note (?) Also Chaeyoung is an underrated vocalist

Amber Lea that isn’t the only thing Yuju lacks. What Yuju needs to improve to become a 10/10 vocalist is: better technique, a more developed head and chest voice.
I’ll do the Main vocals cause why not Wendy : One of the best vocals in kpop. She is the only girl idol who can sing in 4 difference ways. Overall makes me want to die from happiness when she’s singing. Bias, also very underrated Rosé : She’s not a bad vocalist, I’m just not the biggest fan of her voice, u can hear her Australian accent. She is sometimes unstable and isn’t the best live. I love her to death though, bias wrecker Jihyo : Since debut days, she has improved SO MUCH. If people think she isn’t a good vocalist, look at “Jihyo Masked Singer”, it’s amazing in all ways. She is very underrated, bias (along with Chaeyoung)

Jisoo is WAYY more stable that Jennie.... I think Jisoo and Jennie should switch places.... Jennie usually screams out the vocals (atleast in the beginning of kill this love...) and when she sings it's so weak and tbh kinda bad😬(during live performances)
Jennie lipsyncs often and has a bad consistency, Jisoo so stable, Joy pretty good vocals, Jeongyeon is a strong Vocalist and Yeri sings so cute so jennie around 13# and Yeri Jisoo Joy Jeongyeon around 10-5#
IMO: (Not a professional vocalist by any means, but as a musician this is my opinion) 1. Wendy (She's just an amazing vocalist, what else can I say?) 2. Seulgi (Lead Vocalist in RV, Main Vocalist most other groups) 3. Jihyo (One of the most energetic and emotional voices, she knows how to engage an audience and make them feel the song) 4. Joy (Very underrated vocalist, her vocal tone is pleasant to the ears and has good stability and clarity during performances) 5. Jeongyeon (Decent vocalist, with some tuning issues. Overall she needs more lines) 6. Nayeon (Nayeon's voice is shouty, but her range is pretty good, plus she's stable.) 7. Jisoo (Most stable in Blackpink, lower range sounds nice) 8. Rose (Her vibrato sounds way too unnatural and is uncomfortably fast imo. Other than that her tone sounds tight and closed off) 9. Chaeyoung (Chae barely beats Yeri only due to the fact that her low range is amazing and her vocal tone is soothing.) 10. Yeri (Definitely overlooked as a vocalist, she needs some improvement but her tone is nice) 11. Mina (Mina's voice feels like there's no power behind it, she has some projection issues but slow songs are where she excels.) 12. Jennie (Jennie's voice is honestly just unappealing, she is stable, but she's so shouty it gets annoying.) 13. Sana (Sana has a distinctive tone and has improved a lot in terms of stability and projection) 14. Irene (She is stable, but nothing too outstanding) 15. Tzuyu (Tzuyu has improved a lot like Sana, but her vocal tone is very bland and boring) 16. Dahyun (She needs more vocal training and singing lines instead of raps to showcase her soft voice) 17. Lisa/Momo (Both are goddesses at dancing though)

As a non-blink....i think jisoo,joy and jeongyeon should be above jennie bcs even a non fan know that jisoo is the most stable member in BP,Joy's voice is soothing and have great vocal technicue while jeongyeon is a substitute vocalist with a nice tone and technicue(watch one in a million perf.)....BTW, this is only my opinion so dont be trigerred😉

Jisoo should placed higher than Jennie She is the most stable blackpink member and also has very unique and angelic voice, she can reach high notes better than Jennie too in my opinion. Jennie have MORE powerful voice but it's vocal ranking.

This is quite similar with me. Actually for jeongyeon, i am quite curious, i think she need to challenge her vocal by perform in singing program. Since sing only little part would be different if you sing longer part.

out of 18 girls, Jisoo’s voice is the most unique along with Rosé. Jisoo’s the most STABLE in BLACKPINK. Jisoo is the queen of HIDDEN VOCALS. and I believe Jisoo should be higher than Jennie :) I understand that people prefer Jennie’s voice for its power but technique-wise, it’s jisoo y’all. Jennie sometimes shouts when singing high notes. anyway it’s just my opinion. JISOO IS A LEAD VOCALIST FOR A REASON.
Do you even know vocal pedagogy? Both Jennie and Jisoo are weak vocalists, personally I don't even see the point in ranking them. Still Jennie has shown rare moments of support whereas the popular YG technique of no breath conservation has been unfortunately taught to Jisoo and she doesn't have any amount of support

To start seulgi is definitely a better vocalist than jihyo in my opinion, seulgi’s technique & tone surpass jihyo’s maybe bc she’s older and has more experience but you can clearly hear it and jihyo sounds more nasally when she sings in her higher register and when she hits high notes she strains a lot and it’s being forced. Jeongyeon is the better lead vocalist in twice and if you can’t hear that idk. Nayeon is my biased but I’d have to give it to jeongyeon BUT I do think that nayeons voice suits twice concept more and she’s the better kpop vocalist if that makes sense ?? Joy is a BEAST vocalist and she’s so freaking amazing. Her technique is definitely better than twices lead vocalist and the way she utilizes her voice like sis knows exactly how well she can control her voice and the way you can feel the emotion within her voice? I just have to give it to her. Rose is a really good vocalist when ygs makes her fake it so we will leave that there. Fer its one thing to say “i like rosés voice more” or “i prefer rosés singing” or “i like rosés tone” etc. but to say rosé is a better vocalist is just incorrect considering jihyo is stronger in almost every aspect of vocals. its like saying jisoo is a better dancer than lisa- its simply not true. you can say you prefer jisoo’s movements, presence or style, though, and thats perfectly fine.

I enjoyed her singing from SIXTEEN, but when she debuted, it went down. 17: Lisa- she isn’t very stable, and her singing isn’t really singing, more rap sing. 16: Dahyun- Great vocalist, but she can get airy and unstable. 15: Tzuyu- Same level as Dahyun, but I think that she has a more soothing voice. Also a little emotionless. 14: Sana- I personally like her cute singing voice, but it can get unstable and inconsistent. 13: Jennie- She has a good voice, but she practically yells, rather than singing. When she isn’t doing that, she can’t do high notes well. 12: Irene- She can’t really project well, and she is not very stable. Also, I agree with where Rosé is placed here but she’s a better vocalist than most people think of her. Though she isn’t very stable with high notes, her voice is very unique and angelic and if YG did a softer/more vulnerable concept with Blackpink and gave her a falsetto high note, we would see the actual talents of her beautiful voice. I also think that Seulgi is a better vocalist than Jihyo. Just my personal opinion. Lastly, I think that Joy and Jungyeon should’ve also been higher, they are both such underrated vocalists and are fairly stable on stage and with high notes.

Plus, they also do harmonies just like RV does.

Jihyo and Seulgi are very much on the same level but in 2020 alone, Jihyo has shown so much improvement. She started showing support on her C5s, shown headvoice above D5(her previous highest) and had a connected A5 in fanfare and connected Bb5 in Can't Stop Me (in one of the comeback vlogs, you can even hear her sing the Bb5 live, though it did sound a lil pushed). A few years ago I would've definitely agreed that Seulgi should be ranked higher than Jihyo but she's showing consistent and substantial improvement.

There’s not much to say about Wendy since we can all collectively agree that she is the one of the best vocalists in k-pop and overall. That girl is just another level of talent! As for Jihyo; I think she’s better than what JYP projects off of her. It’s almost like she’s forcing it to stay in a certain way and not go any deeper if that makes sense? Overall, Jihyo is a great vocalist but she better rest her chords. Lastly Rosé, she’s not as bad as most people make her out to be. Yes she has difficulties projecting it at times and it can sound somewhat whiny or unnatural but that doesn’t change the fact that her voice is... beautiful? I can’t even describe it because it’s just pleasing to hear, so soft and angelic almost.

I have always said wendy is the best main vocalist if third generation in Kpop.
Of course we have another queens like mamamoo and lee hi and so many others but Wendy's voice is no.1 in more aspects like it's so powerful yet so soothing,and it's so effortlessly beautiful

Jennie isn't stable at live performances idk why she puts it in there. And also jennie isn't versatile. She seems shouting when singing live specially when there's high notes. I think the reason Jennie is higher because her voice are so perfect in Blackpinks concept more than Jisoo (like remember when jisoo mostly have lowest parts) and also their producer always make Jennie's Voice stand out in their song I think that's the reason. also her harmony isn't good actually, In Blackpink Jisoo has the best harmonization than all of them, and we should keep in mind that harmony is a very important when it comes to vocals.
Also I noticed that this rankings have mostly high note singer at the top which makes it obvious that it wasn't a full vocal ranking. Also I think Irene should be higher than her rank by maybe 2-4. Her voice is so great y'all should atleast listen to The Only byRaiden and Irene that song is obviously Irene's solo. (it was all her vocals)

irene has shown her potentials in the last album in the sub unit. she’s stable, has a husky unique voice, and her vocals are over the average.

Y'all need a vocal lesson. But obviously I don't wanna offend anyone nor the creator of this video, everyone has opinions and I respect them. But as a vocal trained person for 4 years now, I really need to show the truth to people.
1. Wendy: Do I even need to say something?? Technique ✔️, vocal range ✔️, stability ✔️, tone ✔️, projection ✔️ she's a powerhouse vocalist. Soprano, (Eb3 - C#5 - Eb7)
2. Seulgi/Rosé/Jihyo: Hear me out, a lot of people are degrading rosé just because of her nasally voice and her 2018 mr removes, well you need some lessons. Rosé is an amazing vocalist, her vocal range is one of the biggest ones I know, her tone is perfect too, her technique holds her back tho, she has amazing projection too, yes she's unstable but you can hear her voice clearly. Rosé's technique is the main reason for why she's unstable, her voice is pushed out from the nose instead of the diaphragm, a lot of singers have nasal voices but they have natural nasal voices so they don't face these problems, While dancing obviously when you have to sing from your mouth and apply force from your nose your gonna have trouble breathing that's why rosé doesn't have as many sustained notes as highnotes, her stamina has become low, but instability isn't really a factor for becoming a good vocalist, yes it's necessary for being a kpop idol otherwise you see western singers who are legends but they are usuall out of breathe aswell, that doesn't make them bad singers, instability and low stamina is natural but doesn't affect you so much. Otherwise rosé is a very capable vocalist, if she corrects her technique she can be even better. Seulgi, has an amazing technique, projection and tone. She lacks vocal range tho, I haven't seen her attempt any notes higher than a normal C5. Or that I don't know RV very well but I know that she lacks vocal range, but she has an amazing lower register tho. Jihyo, I find her technique a bit lacking, she seems to take in a lot of breaths when singing probably cuz she was a trot singer before, but her vocal range is very high, but she has done lower notes than higher ones, she does lack stamina, her tone is good, amazing projection. Seulgi: mezzo soprano (E3 - Bb5 - D6), Jihyo: Soprano (C#3 - A5 - Bb6), Rosé: Soprano (D3 - A4 - E5)
3. Joy: Joy is another capable vocalist, great sense of pitch control, technique isn't my favourite but I guess it works with her vocal colour, Vocal range is standard, She does lack in breathe control and runs, a lot may overlook her vocal strength bcz of her breathy tone but I find it her biggest attraction. Joy: Soprano (G5 - A4 - G#6)
4. Jeongyeon/Jisoo/Nayeon: Jeongyeon has a very strong voice, very good projection, vocal range is average but not bad, tone is perfect, good stamina and stability ofc, I prefer her with sustained notes rather than higher ones or lower ones, her lower register is still much better, she has a good base. Jisoo, omg I'm gonna explode, I've had enough of people sleeping on her, Jisoo's technique is lacking, although better in Blackpink, she has a breathy technique too, she lacks projection but overall her tone is amazing, versatile voice fit for every genre, strong and amazing vocal range, good control, nice flow. She's a very good vocalist if she works on her technique and projections, although I doubt she'll be able to do as many sustained notes bcz of her technique, she sometimes strains her voice a lot when reaching certain points although the tone and resonance is perfect, again it's bcz of her breathy technique which if she corrects she can reach them easily. Nayeon, her voice is also nasally (natural tho), strong, versatile, good vocal range, good stamina, nice tone, good projection and control. I believe she can sing in falsetto easily, she already reached a similar note in dance the night away if only she corrected her technique she could've done it a long time ago, although people like to compare her to jeongyeon, she has a better vocal range and ability than jeongyeon, but she has a better technique which is why when reaching the notes that even Nayeon has done, she makes them sound better and smoother even tho Nayeon can reach higher but holds back bcz of her technique, but nayeon has improved a lot and can reach an effortless falsetto although she has the same issue with joy bcz she has breath control and control issues. Jisoo: Soprano (C#3 - E4 - F6), Nayeon: Soprano (G#3 - Bb5 - E5), Jeongyeon: Mezzo soprano (C#3 - A4 - D5)
5. Lisa/Mina/Chaeyoung/Yeri: I don't know why people think of Lisa as Korea's worst vocalist. I am completely unbiased but I find her vocals to be amazing, she can be a lead vocalist very easily. Vocal range is amazing although she lacks in the chest register but a E4 for a soprano is pretty good, very good tone, technique is fitting her vocals,she may be a sub vocal but omg she didn't come to play, can work on her stamina and projection. Mina, very very very very good vocal range, for an average vocalist she's very good, stamina high as well, projection needs work, good technique, a lot might think her voice is flat cuz she has a head voice based voice but you can feel her vocal strength still. Versatile voice, good tone. Chaeyoung, underrated queen over here, good technique, good vocal range, versatile voice, good tone, projection is good too, not the strongest voice but in the middle. I spent two days stalking RV and their getting into their vocals and abilities, and I have to say I have been living under a rock cuz these girls are talented. Yeri, very very very good vocal range, good tone, projection lacks but she suits the lines she gets, technique, average. She suits good with R&B and ballads, bcz I think her lower register is amazing. Lisa: Soprano (C#3 - E4 - D6), Mina: Soprano (G#3 - E4 - F#5), Chaeyoung: Mezzo Soprano (E3 - Bb5 - D6)
6. Irene: Like I said, after two days of stalking and getting into RV, I really underestimated her, I listened to their hidden vocals and her voice is very angelic. Projection lacks just like Yeri, technique again is average, she has a better vocal range, better high and sustained notes than lower ones, I really hope she gets a sustained note cuz she can do it bcz of her chest mixed technique. Good control, her starting verse in Zimzalabim is quite hard to balance. (also is she the one who screamed at the start of RBB?) Soprano (G#3 - C5 - D6)
7. Sana/Tzuyu: Sure Sana has a very cute voice in twice's songs, but it's not it, she has a smooth voice with a good base she needs to work on her control and projection. Otherwise her tone is okay, vocal range... not the best but it's okay. Tzuyu, average vocal range, good tone, needs to work on projection and control. Tone is okay, although I find her voice to be a bit flat, but that's probs because of her technique. These two need to work on their technique and then they'll be a lot better. Sana: Mezzo soprano (G#3 - Bb4 - D5), Tzuyu: Mezzo soprano (G3 - Bb4 - D5)
8. Jennie/Dahyun: OMG where to begin. Very very lacking. Yes, she has a good tone and projection which may sound like she has a "powerful" or strong voice but it isn't, those things are useless without a good vocal range, technique and control which Jennie doesn't have. I understand that she's a rapper and has a husky voice so she blends in well with her songs, but she's seriously lacking and the lines that they have given her are too hard for her vocal range, probably why she ends up screaming in their lives bcz she can't reach them, her technique needs work too, she puts in too much resonance and ends up sounding hoarse, control too cuz well... if she had that she wouldn't be screaming. Dahyun, soft, delicate and smooth voice. Vocal range needs work, even when rapping she has the same tone and kinda sounds awkward, but she kills in ballads, projection, needs work, control, needs work, I think that's why she became a rapper. Technique is average. A good singer. Jennie: Mezzo soprano (G3 - Bb5 - D5), Dahyun: Mezzo soprano (G#3 - Bb4 - D5)
9. Momo: She has the same technique as Rosé, even tho a lot think momo is very bad, she's not the best obviously but honestly, she's not the worst either, She can sing decently, atleast keep up with the others, i kind of know why momo was made into a vocalist and why she got the cute voice, maybe to fit the group's concept but maybe also cuz momo had very less control on her natural voice, if you hear her rapping pre debut or in their debut album she didn't have a lot of control on her voice, she talked fast but that was it, being able to train for rapping is quite harder than a vocalist, momo probably wasn't able to keep up but I didn't find her voice suitable for rapping tbh, talking fast is one thing, she CAN rap. But even if I judge her vocals without her nasal technique, she still lacks vocal range, probably good in the chest register but not so far ahead in that either, technique with or without nasal pressure is not good, control like I said was very bad. No where am I being biased I literally LOVE all three groups so much. To start seulgi is definitely a better vocalist than jihyo in my opinion, seulgi’s technique & tone surpass jihyo’s maybe bc she’s older and has more experience but you can clearly hear it and jihyo sounds more nasally when she sings in her higher register and when she hits high notes she strains a lot and it’s being forced. Jeongyeon is the better lead vocalist in twice and if you can’t hear that idk. Nayeon is my biased but I’d have to give it to jeongyeon BUT I do think that nayeons voice suits twice concept more and she’s the better kpop vocalist if that makes sense ?? Joy is a BEAST vocalist and she’s so freaking amazing. Her technique is definitely better than twices lead vocalist and the way she utilizes her voice like sis knows exactly how well she can control her voice and the way you can feel the emotion within her voice? I just have to give it to her. Rose is a really good vocalist when ygs makes her fake it so we will leave that there. Jisoo is definitely a better vocalist then Jennie lol idk why that’s a debate the only thing is bp songs are not really made for jisoos voice bc jisoo has a low and husky voice and they make her sing in keys that we all know her voice isn’t comfortable with. 15: Tzuyu- Same level as Dahyun, but I think that she has a more soothing voice. Also a little emotionless.
