Ok all jokes aside can we just appreciate the courage of that Uber driver for flat out refusing to drive for two potential robbers? They could have been armed or violent but he still had the guts to just say no.

Its more of a situation where he sensed they were not real robbers (there a several hints), but he was feeling uncomfortable with the situation so refused the ride. Good decision, because the police could get involved, weapons drawn etc.

Fun fact, banks don't scrually have audible alarms like the one they editted into the beginning of their prank. The alarms are silent, designed to be triggered while the robber is still in the bank. Standard practice is to give the robber the money, memorizing what relevant details they can give to the police, preserving life as the money is insured and a hotshot can come the next day with more cash.

It was so short, seconds, but time felt frozen. We were all taking this math test, so everything was quiet. Then, we heard this single, resonating banging/hitting sound. I didn't really have friends in that class, or enemies, we didn't keep up with each other at all- but when we heard that, every one of us just froze. We were all looking around, at each other. We were distant but I swear you could feel the tension, the panic. Finally, someone picked up the heavy binder they had dropped. You couldn't hear it, but this class of 20 kids breathed out the biggest sigh of relief at once. It was like all of our heartbeats slowed at the same time. Even our two teachers were a little shaken.
I think about that incident a lot. How all of us, 16/17-year-old kids, were so paralyzed with fear just because we were students & it was America. Everyone's eyes were communicating the same thing, because most -if not all- of us thought it was a gunshot from outside the room. Even if it didn't sound the same, no one was thinking about that. We were just terrified. Our government cares so little for our lives, that even those fortunate enough to never have experienced a shooting, live in constant fear. It still breaks my heart when I think about it.
These guys are literally laughing about how police officers pulled guns on the Uber driver like it’s some joke. That must have been terrifying for him. And they’re just laughing about it. He could’ve gotten shot. They’re horrible people. 😠
it’s shitty how disconnected they were from the very real danger they put him in. It’s also shitty how we have gotten so used to expecting cops to just act like wild animals and kill people that the people we hold responsible are the ones who “trigger” cops (the twins for pulling the prank, people who swat each other, anyone who resists arrest etc)

I feel nervous around cops, especially when they have guns just on their person. I can’t imagine the fear that goes on when the cops are threatening with those guns. The driver could’ve had a panic attack or something worse over that kind of fear! Those fucking twins deserve jail time.

I don’t get how two full grown men could think this was funny. These poor members of the public had no way of telling if this was a prank or not. Even so, most people would call the police either way. Better safe then sorry. I don’t understand how they didn’t think this could constitute a crime. This could have put other people in danger. This is why we always say never to prank call 911, for example. You’re pulling ressources to a fake situation where people could get hurt through something as simple as a misunderstanding. The police would respond, it’s their job. It’s also why we also tell you not to pretend to fake drown in a pool. The lifeguard is under obligation to help you and again you’re pulling ressources and wasting their time. Furthermore, they’re creating panic. They truly have no self awareness. No thought of the anxiety these people must be feeling. Is it a real bank robbery ? Am I in danger ? Do I call the police ? Especially, the Uber driver. He’s just trying to put money on the table and to have immature, selfish, 23 year old guys hop into his Uber claiming he’s their getaway driver? THE ANXIETY. He didn’t fucking sign up for this. He said it himself. It ain’t funny cause his job and his life are possibly on the line.
