As a teen I struggled to play this and after my teacher selected several sections that he deemed possible for me to struggle threw, I enjoyed playing (alone of course not for any audiences),that truncated version for many years. I never was a "pianist" but playing those favorite parts was a pastime I still treasure. I still listen to this master work often. Good for the soul. Just say'n
It was Leonard Bernstein's cut. It's a very good recording though I have no idea why Bernstein did the cuts. I may do a full version when I am free after finishing my current tasks. Thanks!
