Me, too. This was great second to the interview she did with Kelly Mantle. She just has that thing that instantly connects to the person she is talking with so that by the end I’m sad that I’m not friends with them. I mean, I do talk back to the screen when they talk about something poignant but you get it.
In the future I can see her having her own (slightly more serious) interview podcast. I love Trixie but it’s old news at this point that she regularly derails Katya’s brilliance. Trixie is a hilarious and charismatic entertainer. Katya is that plus a deep and dark and very smart soul.

She’s a great spokesperson because she’s actually been on these news shows with the goal of educating the public with a queer perspective. It was also great to hear Katya speak more in-depth on these issues and finish her thoughts uninterrupted. Just a really great back and forth between these two. Courtney articulated what I’ve been thinking recently about the ‘drag queens are groomers’ discourse in Australia ‘being spoken with an American accent’. I’ve always been proud of the fact that we’re a comparatively accepting and safe country for queer people, but I’ve definitely noticed a small minority starting to parrot uneducated rhetoric they’ve picked up from American media. Overall though, as Katya said, we’re pretty gay and I don’t see that changing anytime soon.
Agree. It's augmented by media too. The conversations on TV vs Facebook vs Real Life are all very different, with different degrees of "American accent". I have to remind myself that Sky News or FB comments are probably the "worst" examples, and not representative of most people who think differently to me.
This is the first time I’ve liked the podcast before actually watching it because I’m SO excited about Courtney!!! And I live for the Katya interview episodes.
This was amazing. I can't wait for part 2.😍 Btw Courtney mentioned sth about "picking berries with cave women" that I have a fun fact about. It recently has been proven that "men were hunters, women were gatherers" is a total myth and all the evidence says that everyone back in prehistoric times had to both hunt and gather. Also it is said that the best hunters of every tribe were old and experienced women. I've heard that it is not even new to discover evidence of lots of hunter women and the evidence has always been there but science chose to theorize things in a way that felt more "natural" to them and their belief system.
I love that I’m trying to get away from gender stereotypes I reinforced another one 😂 I guess I should have said “people picking berries”…but sounds like being an older experienced woman, Id be a good hunter
There were studies and theories that point to women discovering agriculture and once they did that, the men took over and it went down hill from there; they were basically forced into the home, giving rise to the patriarchy

I love an intellectual Katya moment and Courtney is full of insight so it was deep yet bouncy. Deep.. and yet bouncy. It feels really grounding hearing the strategy of stepping towards common ground.. actually, it feels like a great way to talk to my kids about things they repeat from douchey algorythmic TH-cam shorts targeting them (and I'm thankful to say we have a good enough relationship to discuss them.. even if they're speaking from a destructive side). Sometimes I just don't have all the answers and that's okay. Learning, admitting that, and exploring together is really healthy. But that's aspirational when the tsunami of cortisol hits. I feel pressured to lay out a sick burn in verbal tweet form or Shorts style and it's just useless, lol. Anyway, thanks for coming to my TED talk and I think Courtney has done Glod's work today lmao

Loooove when Katya gets to interview other guests, its like we get to see a new side of her
i've lived in berlin for 22 years and i've never even had one good day😭 congrats on being the one in a million courtney!!
This was such a wonderfully intelligent conversation that I wasn't ready to be over so soon! Eagerly waiting for part 2!
I love the bald and the beautiful. I will always be here for a new episode.
But can Katya get her own podcast already!!!
Oh my gosh best thing ever on the interwebs in a looooooong time! Such a smart and witty duo.
loved this video!! so happy its a part 1. the topics were so good and love to explore this podcast more
I love Trixie but my god I always love seeing katya doing things with other people too! Love the layers of Katya! And of course the lovely Courtney act
Courtney is a great guest host! Y'all have lovely chemistry 💖 the RNR moment had me cackling 💀
Yay for two parts 🎉 Such a lovely and engaging conversation ❤❤❤
I love being able to hear katya finish a sentence or thought without interruption
Courtney is way too well spoken, radiant & beautiful for this podcast. I come here to listen to the same story every week!!!
So refleshing and so delitchious. Looking forward to part 2 of this conversation!
I will always admire Katya's ability to be able to listen to the other person even when he's speaking, that takes a lot of skill
Wow, we actually got to hear Katya talk today!!
Wow! I could listen to Courtney all day. We need part 1,2,3,4,5 haha ❤
36:00 what an excellent way to really explain the spectrum of gender. Wow. I’m using this.
this podcast truly ends with zero warning and i love it, looking forward to the second part!
Courtney is so intelligent! This was fascinating to watch and listen to. I'm definitely a new fan of Courtney and will be giving her a follow on social. This conversation was so engaging and thought provoking as well as silly and goofy and fun. Really enjoyed this and excited for what is apparently the second part!
Extra Extra!!!! Courtneyyyyyyyy!!! Love her!!!😍😍😍😍😍 I love to listen to what she has to say, so captivating & interesting!!! Also hi Katya (always a great host!) & shoutout to Trixie!!!
Edit! Whaaaaat!!! There's more??? I LOVE IT!!!💖💖💖
Both of these interviews were amazing.
That brown hair callback after the vomit scene was BRILLIANT. Absolute PEAK comedy.
This was amazing. Thank you. Can’t wait for part 2!! Ooh there ain’t no other way!
Katya begins the video by roasting every other person that's ever filled in for Trixie before lol
loved this!!
Courtney is so smart. Seriously.
Courtney speaks directly out of my heart. Exactly that.
A delight to hear Katya‘s full sentences without being interrupted by Trixie 😊
I accidentally paused at 1:10 and Katya 's face lmao
