Lmao. "swinging dong" got me. Dude, I absolutely love your channel. I'm mostly a private person and don't interact much online, but I feel the need to tell you this should you happen to read this. So I'll apologize in advance for the long sappy post lol. I am a lifelong horror junkie who is constantly searching for the next thing to break my desensitization to horror. I'm always looking for the next thing to give me that adrenaline rush that I used to get as a kid watching movies with my dad. My grandmother (his mom) used to own and operate a small movie rental store in my hometown so we watched anything and everything we could get our hands on. Freddy, Jason, Chucky, Hellraiser, Leprechaun, Tales from the Crypt, Critters, V, Sleepaway camp, etc... literally anything horror related. It's oddly been a large part of our bond to one another throughout some really hard times. Mom wasn't in the picture and we couldn't afford to really do much of anything, so this and gaming were a large part of how we spent our time together. After high school my dad and I kind of drifted apart a little as he was dealing with some issues of his own and I was trying to start my life. My dad has always been my hero, even when we grew apart for a while, and every time I watched a horror movie on my own it made me feel like I was a kid again with him. I'm 35 now and have a son of my own. My dad and I started to rekindle our relationship last year and now we are best friends. A HUGE factor in us reconnecting was me stumbling onto your channel one day and sending him some recommendations. Now I look forward to every video you put out because there are movies you've mentioned that I never would have ever heard about. Just when I thought that the horror movie genre was way to saturated and repetitive, your channel has done more for me than just giving me some badass movies to watch... which in turn has helped feed a spark in a relationship that I was worried I'd never have again. I say all of that to say that I have this philosophy that I live by that I don't want to do the same thing today as I did yesterday. I love helping people. I love the satisfaction it gives me when I feel like I have in some way made someone's day even slightly better. I don't ever do anything expecting anything in return, and a lot of times I feel like people take advantage of my eagerness to do some good in this really messed up world we live in.... but I try not to let it affect my outlook. I know I can't change someone's life or situation, but at the end of the day if I do something for 1000000 people and only made a small difference in ONE persons day... even if it's just getting a laugh or a smile out of them when they are down, then that makes me feel like I made a difference. I don't know what impact you have on anyone else that watches your channel, but never stop doing what your doing. Now obviously everyone tunes in for their own reasons and I have zero idea what they are...but even if everyone else only watches just to find a movie to watch, you have made an impact on at least one person and that person wanted to let you know that you sir indeed have made a difference for him. Much love my guy.
What a beautiful message to spread for all of those that are helped by The Red Cross. Even if u THINK u can't help; just donating a pint of blood goes to save lives. Thanks, Kainan, I'm glad you can share how The Red Cross was there for you. ❤❤
I used to trust the Red Cross when I was young now I realize they are a evil Corporation I will never donate my blood to them again they are truly evil
Nice story we just experienced a family a week after my brother died Red Cross was the first to show up and offer help from blankets to navigating the whole process thank God for insurance but they definitely helped our tenants out they even gave us like six hundred bucks as the landlord even tho we had a policy . They were kind and sweet
We're a community that is united in our love for all things horror, and the man that brings us together, Kainan Becker. I "highly", " highly" recommend we take a break and leave the politics and worldly troubles at the doorstep for a bit.
what's really scary is when ppl never research politics and ignore the world stage altogether...those ppl obey thier television no Matter what "they" tell the ppls if u know wat I mean....
The Reflecting Skin has been one of my favorites forever, I’m so glad it’s starting to get the attention it deserves! Thanks so much for suggesting it again!
Mate I just saw your story of the Red Cross helping you when you lost your home. I’m in Australia, and when Canberra (The Capital) burned I nearly lost our home, but my Aunty and 6 friends lost everything, we where helped by a few places, including the Red Cross, but later I met a few Americans who said that they Donated to charity’s over here to help with Fires in Canberra, plus we had American volunteers here too. So I’m donating now to help with your Families, it’s not much but it’s what I have. I hope some other Aussies might see this? these are hectic tough times, we need to pull together, and look after our mates where ever they are in the World. Stay safe, Cheers from 🇦🇺
Excellent message before another excellent video. I lived in LA for 8 years, Santa Monica, just south of Pacific Palisades. Anyone who thinks that only monied people and families are affected aren't paying attention. Entire city blocks nestled in the hills, many small businesses, and mobile home parks have been completely wiped out, it's affecting people from all economic strata and income levels.
Great message at the beginning. I grew up in California and what's getting lost in all this " so and so actor home burned down" is that not every house in that area is a mansion. It's neighborhoods, churches, schools, and yes a trailer park.
Living in Australia I understand these sort of Fires very well, and it is an otherworldly experience to be caught up in one trying save your Home, and making decisions on leaving it. I’ve been there before, and only a freakish last minute change of Wind direction saved us at the very last minute. The whole thing is like being in an apocalyptic Movie. I really feel for all those people in the thick of it, it’s devastating.
I remember seeing those videos of Australia on fire. Fckn' terrifying. That & these Cali fires. Make me complain less about the cost of living in Boston. Shiiit we barely get snow anymore. God bless you & all the people in LA .
The TRUTH is the fires aren't caused by wind its alien technology directed energy weapons..D.E.W.....hint..the world govs aren't human...its THEM...the evil ones....I know I know...."I'm crazy"
I logged into Tubi during this video and almost every single movie was under my recommended films! Good chance I would never have checked them out, so thanks for the awesome recommendations (as always)! I'm so happy I found your channel. Much love brotha 🤘
Thanks for bringing attention to the LA wild fires and how to contribute. Anyway, I can’t believe you of all people haven’t seen The Final Prayer until now! Anyway, great list since I haven’t seen most of these and look forward to watching them this week.
Great recommendations, and your channel is the 1st place I go to find something new to watch. As a lifelong horror fan it can be difficult to find something new or different to watch. But you've done the work for us and find all kinds of hidden gems, and for that, I sincerely thank you. The Reflecting Skin is a beautifully shot film with an excellent story. Awesome list!!
Went to watch the thicket as you recommend and I was pleasantly surprised ! the cinematography is beautiful a good story too that keeps you following through as well.. was surprised to see it was a tubi original! Thanks for the recommendation ❤❤😊
Gosh, Kainan, I'm sorry you went through that. Red Cross came in with cleaning supplies and sandwiches when our town was flooded. That sandwich never tasted so good. This was a great list of movies. A couple that are new to me and now on my list.
Thank you for the shoutout to the Red Cross! If I could add, even if money is tight and makes donations difficult, an hour or so of time is enough to donate a unit of blood. They are always looking for volunteers. Even if you’re not in the affected areas, units are shipped between centers and a surplus at one can help to alleviate a shortage at another.
My family lives in socal and I'm worried about them everyday. It's been stressful not knowing whether or not they'll be evacuated and where they will go on top of it my mother's in the hospital after breaking her leg. Thanks for that shout out my dude.
Donation made. Thank you for sharing your experience. It's in times of need when, in spite of our differences, Americans come together to help each other. It doesn't matter what the color of your skin is, your political views or your age. I wish that it didn't take a crisis for all of us to come together.
I'm now watching Final Prayer, The Borderlands in the UK, for the second night in a row. Not sure what has possessed me recently but I bloomin love Dashcam and now this. (I know a lot of people hate Annie's character in Dashcam but I thought she was brilliant. I told her so on Instagram and she replied to me. As I live in the UK I guess that's a clue. The acting in Final Prayer was top notch. Love you Ghost. ❤
Thank you so much for your support of the wildfire relief effort down here in SoCal. "The Thicket" was a darn good Western, and I'm giving "Dread" a watch tonight per your recommendation 👍.
My local video chain had The Reflecting Skin on this “weird movie picks” end cap with a few Lynch movies in the late 90s, and that just sealed the deal for me.
Awesome message you started with!! Thanks for sharing some of your story with us!! I watched Thicket last night thought it was great!! Really want to see Swallowed and Final Prayer!!🤔🎃😎☠️🧟♂️
My house was also in a fire it didnt burn down but the basement was burned up pretty bad. And the upstairs the living room the smoke damage is somthing you never forget. The smell of the walls is just such a wierd smell that i can still smell today and that was in the mid 60's.
Kainan, I have a question for you. Or, it is from my thirteen year old daughter. If you don't feel like answering, then that is fine😊 She loves to draw, and she has seen your paintings, and think you are amazing. She is also on the spectrum, and can not stop thinking about how you are able to draw so brilliantly with only one eye (or sight in one eye, I don't know if you still have your eye or not) Ao her question is how do you see/draw depth? Lots of love from Norway.
Truth is I’ve alway only had vision in one eye since I was 7 so it’s hard to answer that. Cause I don’t know what depth looks like to other people or what my work looks like to other people. Also every single person sees the world slightly differently. It’s a fascinating rabbit hole to go down if you look on TH-cam for videos that explain how eyes work. It’s all about light. So I just make what I think looks and means what I want it too. I never think about if others will like what I make
"The Reflecting Skin" is an unforgettable movie for sue. I saw that a couple of years after it first came out, and I still don't see it mentioned or listed on any streaming site very often.
What a great message before the video, a sad story with a resilience message. And I really hope that situation has a quick solution. And another topic, I want more love and recognition to "The Coffe Table", what a great movie
The Red Cross helped me when I had a house fire too. They provided me & my kids with some clothes & a pack of washing bits like toothbrushes etc. It was a kindness that was most appreciated and remembered, as we didn’t even have coats and it was snowing. A volunteer arrived whilst we were still at the house with the fire dept. So even if you can only afford the price of a bar of soap, it helps. Ps. Urban Legend is one of my favourite movies. The sequels never worked and feel like they were just attached to the original to get bums on seats.
You picked some winners I’d never heard about. Watched The Thicket on your recommendation and really enjoyed it. Juliette Lewis was fantastic. Moving on to the others. Also, very much appreciate the heads up on the animal torture/murder so I can avoid it.
Also it has many hidden meanings that you get when you watch the film more than once. I have said it before and I’ll say it again…. Vox Lux is a masterpiece and in a way reminds me of David Lynch’s films. ❤
Way to reach out and take care of the needed issues before the entertainment. Much respect to you and all you do. Hoping you can review Deus Irea at some point. Argentinian exorcism movie with great body horror and practical effects. Was my surprise for 2024.
If you watch urban legend , it'll be one of those movies that if you come across it again , the remote will stop and you'll watch again....and again. A classic whodunit on campus. A remake by one of the horror masters would be EPIC.
Not trying to take anything away from the tragedy of the wildfires but where is the support for all of the families that lost everything in Eastern Tennessee and Norrh Carolina
I’ve seen tons of creators on that coast asking for help. I can’t make something like that for every tragedy, it’s like the horrible floods in Appalachia, I sent what money I could towards that. It’s just to many tragic things always happen all over the world. So you kinda gotta look out for your neighborhood so to speak. It sucks
Just when I think I couldn't love you any more, You talk about helping the fire victims. I'm on the other side of the country but I do have a dear friend that lives in Simi valley. He was lucky, but a few of his friends unfortunately lost everything. I kind of suspected that you're an empathetic kind of guy. Okay now, swinging dongs? 😂😂😂😂😂. The reflecting skin has been one of my favorite movies since the '90s. It is so haunting and so beautiful. It just pulls you in. Very weird which I always love. Oh and RIP David Lynch! Thanks for another great list.
It's was a powerfull and inspiring messsage that you gave us in the beginning of your video. It makes us realized how desperate and lost we could fele if such a tragedy happen to us and how much we'll appreciate to be helped. You're recommandations were very interesting and I will surely watch some of them
The Thicket was excellent. I'm a huge fan of western horror and Peter Dinklage, and Juliet Lewis. She's phenomenal in this film. I Finally saw "The Coffee Table " ( on Tubi) and it's something else. That ending is DARRRK. Loved the Sonata as well, great mystery and beautiful atmosphere
Thanks for the recommendations. I watched "Final Prayer" last night and really enjoyed it. I'm snowed in for the next few days. So this list will definitely come in handy.
I’ve seen Dread, it’s an excellent film. I saw Urban Legend back in the day, definitely worth a rewatch. I’ll have to check out the other 8, they all look really good.
@ I’m so sorry man. It’s awful. We lived in a run down basement apartment for about 2 years. Makes you really appreciate all wet have now. I always grab a movie off your lists. Thanks.

Loved your message about the California "wildfires" something most ppl refuse to take notice of or talk about 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

It’s because of the confusion of the name. Everyone kept calling it Borderlands and that’s a totally different movie here.

KB I freaking loved "The Thicket" man it's the best western I've seen since "Open Range" Fantastic. I'll be looking forward to "Swallowed" next.
The thicket caught my eye and then I looked it up and saw Macon Blair in the cast and I was immediately sold! Gonna watch tonight
I haven't heard of many of these. Thank you. You really seem to be enjoying yourself here. I'm loving that energy!
I recently watched Beezel, and that was creepy as hell! Great pick! Also, thoughts and prayers to those affected by the fire! I'll be sure to donate!
Juliet lewis absolutely deserves Oscar for the thicket . Ill say it its the best movie of 2024🎉
Thank you for the shoutout to the Red Cross!

Yeah man, when I lived in southern Cal. I remember how dry it was. Prayers
Oh my god the Reflecting Skin is so traumatic.
Final Prayer has a " knock your socks off " climax most will NEVER see coming!!!!!
Damn, I still haven’t seen “The Coffee Table”.
😮😮you HAVEN'T? Well, it's worth the wait, but, man, watch it asap
Its a tough watch and very disturbing but excellent. Very sad and upsetting.
I checked on Tubi two weeks ago and it was not available.
@ it was on there for me I check just now.
@@DPaisleyDaisy-pr5wz I just saw it. DAMN! That’s really all I can say about that.
Amazing recommendations as usual!
It's was a powerfull and inspiring messsage that you gave us in the beginning of your video. It makes us realized how desperate and lost we could fele if such a tragedy happen to us and how much we'll appreciate to be helped. You're recommandations were very interesting and I will surely watch some of them
Agree on Urban Ledged!! Loved it
The Thicket was excellent.
You went through all of that and now you’re living your own Personal Legend I love it brother keep being you
That was only the beginning of what happened to me lol but everyday is a new day to make the best you can.
@ well everything that happened made you into a kick ass person so I salute you
Thank you 🙏
Excellent list👍
Thanks for the recommendations. I watched "Final Prayer" last night and really enjoyed it. I'm snowed in for the next few days. So this list will definitely come in handy.
Thank you for all the recommendations
I LOVE Final Prayer!! Excellent movie :)
I’ve seen Dread, it’s an excellent film. I saw Urban Legend back in the day, definitely worth a rewatch. I’ll have to check out the other 8, they all look really good.
thanks, I really appreciate the recommendations.
The Thicket was really good, great in fact.
Thanks for recommending the Sonata. As a Rutger Hauer fan, it holds a special place for me.
Thank You Kainan. I will donate.
Good on you for spreading a message about the California fires.
That’s crazy, my house burned down when I was 7. I lived in the Bronx. It sucked. Changed my life.
Same my family ended up homeless for almost a year
@ I’m so sorry man. It’s awful. We lived in a run down basement apartment for about 2 years. Makes you really appreciate all wet have now.
I always grab a movie off your lists. Thanks.
I donate to the red cross Australia every month, good on ya for mentioning the good work they do
