Thank you for sharing the "truth" about your parts, your Jeep, your experience. It is also very awesome that you were willing to be candid. Stay safe out there!
Awesome video as always Bill and Deb. Y'all's Gladiator is a beast of a overland rig y'all definitely put in hours and hours of thought into every part y'all had changed to make a stronger overland rig. Thanks for letting us ride along on y'all's adventures and maybe will pass each other on the tail one day.
Really appreciate your videos. Because of you and Ozark Overland I decided to pull the trigger and picked up a used ‘13 JK 6spd a few weeks ago. The outfitting, mods and gear advice are awesome for someone new to Jeeps. I’ve also been reviewing your DBBB and KAT videos to plan my first trip. Being in Shelby County it’s almost right in my backyard. Thanks again!
That’s awesome! Glad that we have been some help along with our Friends Matt and Cara from @ozarkoverlandadventures. The DBBB and KAT are both a lot of fun
last July i picked up a 2020 Gladiator Rubicon. I watched you and Ozark OL for a lot of my suspension decisions. you both are the reason i went with 37s, 3.5" lift and steering components. Although mine are different brands, it all works nicely together.
Very good information on your Gladiator. I have 2014 Tacoma and considered selling it for a Gladiator. Our son purchased a 2024 Rubicon Wrangler and thought it may be fun for me to purchase a Gladiator. I flew with the Gladiators in Vietnam so the name fits well. Anyway I’m still considering, so maybe one day I’ll drive in. Thanks for taking us places of God’s wonderful creation.
I don't even own a Jeep and this video was a joy to watch -- it's amazing the type of footage you all got throughout your travels, it was like watching a movie with a crazy production budget .. nice work!
I put 200k miles on a 2010 JKU and never had any trouble with it. I bought a 2022 Gladiator Rubicon and had to replace the engine at 30,000 miles. The dealer did a tear down and found scored rod bearings. I hope it will be fine now as I plan to keep it a long time. Otherwise I love it.
Great set-up. I love it! You folks are doing everything I would eventually like to do with my Gladiator. Thanks for sharing great info, experience and product information.
Love it. Anxious to see how the new gears will work! I have some great news about something I’m doing but can’t share until I get back! Will let you know after Feb 27
Great update video. Our 2020 JLU Sport S has 89,000 and still going strong. We have the Apex autoLynx on and and love them. We just added a 2024 JLU Rubicon as well that we are looking forward to continuing our explorations with.
Thanks for this video. I just bought a 2024 Willys with the same concept of buying it to match my needs. I’m looking forward to many miles on this truck.
Enjoyed your rig insight. It must be quite a change from the early days of a roof top to now changing the dynamics of your travel pulling a off road trailer. I would imagine it adds considerably to your comfort but comes at the cost of mobility. Overlanding always seems to come with give a take...Stay safe my friends. Hope to see y'all at MOORE 24
Yes it has been a change but definitely for the better. It does give us a lot more comfort. As far as limiting mobility, we haven’t seen that much of an issue. A good example is our Wyoming trip where we pulled the trailer everywhere that we wanted to go. See you at MOORE!
Great video. It's really informative to see what's worked and what hasn't over 80K. I have a 2020 Sport with 4:10 and only 34K and have had no issues aside from the aluminum steering box TSB. I really enjoy mine.
great review! I too am planning to go to 5.13s as I often tow a 4k travel trailer and in the mountains. Only runnin 35s myself so I do see 8th gear on occasion when towing
Hi Bill and Deb, Another great video. I'm driving a 21 Mojave on 35's and would also love to see a build list of your JT. Your rig appears to be built for function and comfort without the unnecessary gizmos. What rock sliders are you using?? Looking forward to making OTR this year and meeting Deb and yourself. T - Bird
I promise not to complain about my gas mileage ever again. I always called it "smiles per gallon" because the numbers were depressing. 2019 Tacoma Turd Pro, bare gets close to 20mpg. Fully loaded w bed rack and tent with a bed full of gear, closer to about 13. 8 mpg holy moly... Ill be interested to see what happens when you regear.
From a Jeep Gladiator enthusiast, who doesn't own one yet. Great video! Question though, with all those upgrades done, would you have been better off buying the Rubicon instead of the Mojave?
Hello sir, I watch all your videos and love them. How about your drive shafts, have you been wheeling with the stocks? I'm building my mojave out and was wondering if I should do aftermarket drive shafts?
Here's a word about that "Lifetime Powertrain Warranty." I have the warranty on my 2008. Jeep did not ensure enough parts were made past the 10 year legal requirement to use to repair vehicles., so you will be receiving a "used" part that will also break, sooner rather than later. Another issue is your Jeep dealer may not be able to diagnose future problems, thus leaving you with an undrivable vehicle, as Jeep does not provide technical support for older vehicles. Check your state's laws on automotive vehicle warranties, you may be out of luck on a necessary repair.
I’m not affiliated in any way but just regeared my Wrangler with Dana Spicers. My shop tried another well known brand two times and they made so much noise it was a no-go. The Dana Spicers were actually more affordable too.
I could never go back to a gasser gladiator with that motor. The power of the diesel and fuel economy is 100 percent needed when Overlanding. Fully loaded on 37’s still at 22mpg
We would really like a jeep in Mango Tango, but since that is not available, it will probably also be black. We working on mailing in the Auto Lynx to see if they can rebuild them😂
@CoddiwompleOverland hopefully Apex Eng helps out. I have their steering boost kit, and I like the engineering. Mango Tango, just like the JK! Bikini and Rock Lobster would be cool as well.
There aren’t any 392 Gladiators being built and they have also stopped building diesel gladiators. I might consider one of those in a wrangler but would want the new full float axle
Have you ever run into rolling from side to side with the gear on top? I have noticed once I added my water tank and awning I get a roll from side to side going down the road. I have a stock diesel rubicon gladiator.
Good morning. I too entered into a contract to purchase a new Jeep 392 Rubicon form Dan Cummins Jeep. Lindsey at the dealership, sent me the TOTAL purchase price out the door. She requested a deposit which I made with American Express card. After we had this contract with DEPOSIT, she notified me the next day my Jeep increased in price $3000.00 dollars. These folks are not as represented and in now way honor their own written contracts! I have and will continue to let as many Jeep buyers know their business tactics. See you at ALL the Jeep events this year.
One thing they cannot question, is I have all supporting documentation to back up my claims, as well as CC receipt! It's easier to run away, than confront their sponsor on their business tactics.
We hate that you had a bad experience. If you will send us your name and contact info, we will forward this to our contact at Dan Cummins. Send to contact@coddiwomple-overland.com
Who is running from what?? You had a bad experience, we get it. We are offering to see if we can help but before you even get any response, you start attacking us about something that we had nothing to do with and accuse us of deleting things. Just what is your goal?

Me I want lockers all the way around Detroit lockers and installing a portal axle which will give me an additional 12 inches of clearance off-road coils over gas charge shocks Anthony suspension springs coil
And I'm looking into Portal axles which are superior than the current Dana 40 or 60 the portal axles give you a full 12 inches more additional ground clearance they have them for which one of my favorite for my vehicles is a Land Rover fan and Audi Quattro of course my top favorite would be an f 5:50 or 7:50 dually diesel engine with the same portal axles the god everybody here I come haha

We do not have a build sheet, but we are going to put one together.
We have Rock Slide Engineering.
Well done video! Congratulations on the build and adventures! 🍻
Thanks! 🍻
Very cool, thanks for sharing. That was some beautiful scenery.
Thanks for watching

Have over 50k on the Bronco already....it goes fast lol.
We definitely are. Sounds like you are also.

love the build, clean and functional. I was thinking of getting apex quick disconnect but went another route.
Thanks!
Did you get the swayloc instead?
No, we haven't.
Sorry the question was meant for @GT_KREW
Got ya!
Huge win for the gladiator platform. So much hate on these rigs.
Right....
Yup,people who don’t know shit. On my second one,prob get a 3rd
We will be going with the same platform when we do.
I’m not affiliated in any way but just regeared my Wrangler with Dana Spicers. My shop tried another well known brand two times and they made so much noise it was a no-go. The Dana Spicers were actually more affordable too.

Solid build for sure 👌
When not pulling the trailer, we’re you over the GVWR on the sticker the way it was built out?
No
Tell me more about your smart cap. Your thoughts on it, maybe a video? Thanks!
Since this video, they have changed the seals and hardware. We have had no more issues.
Have you got a build sheet somewhere of your truck? Great honest feedback on the components you have used.
We do not. We really need to do that.
That JT is just an overland stud! 😂
😂😂😂😂
I could never go back to a gasser gladiator with that motor. The power of the diesel and fuel economy is 100 percent needed when Overlanding. Fully loaded on 37’s still at 22mpg
That's great!
If you got another JT, what color would it be? Your Mojave looks super sharp in black for sure! Did you end up getting replacement AutoLYNX?

@CoddiwompleOverland hopefully Apex Eng helps out. I have their steering boost kit, and I like the engineering. Mango Tango, just like the JK! Bikini and Rock Lobster would be cool as well.
So many choices.. 😁
You will be much happier with the 5.13 gears!
We think so too
Hello Coddiwomple Overland, what mounts are you using for your A-Pillar lights?
7 sevens
Your wife is awesome...mine will only crawl to the mall in our Jeep
Yes, she is! That's also her daily driver.
Nicely done!
Thank you!
Stock Penta star? Would you consider the diesel or 392 on a new one since you're pulling a trailer now?
There aren’t any 392 Gladiators being built and they have also stopped building diesel gladiators. I might consider one of those in a wrangler but would want the new full float axle
Have you replaced the ball joints yet? If so, at what mileage and what did you upgrade them with?
They are still stock. 37's with negative 38 off set wheels.
@@CoddiwompleOverland and you have 80,000 miles on them mostly with 37’s! Incredible!
Yes!
Sure makes me want a gladiator 👍👍👍
👍
Thanks for this video
Your Welcome! Thanks for watching.
Damn that’s clean
Thanks!
Why did you pick the Mojave over the Rubicon?
This video explains why we picked the Mojave.
th-cam.com/video/QuwmFvxlz1s/w-d-xo.html
Please do a video on why you chose a gladiator over a wrangler
Thanks for your input. We will try to work on that.
Factory gears on a Rubicon are 410, I thought the Mojave were 373's? Did you change them at some point?
Nope factory Mojave has 4.10
Have you ever run into rolling from side to side with the gear on top? I have noticed once I added my water tank and awning I get a roll from side to side going down the road. I have a stock diesel rubicon gladiator.
There is a little side-to-side roll but that is to be expected when you load weight that high. Rear air bags or a stiffer sway bar will help
Did you ended up rehearing to 5:16? If so how do you like it?
We regeared to 5:13
Did it performed as expected or any regrets?
@Haro75410 no regrets at all!

Of course the normal response , as with other Cummins supported, is to delete this information to protect their contributors.

11-13?! I didn't realize it was that low 😭😭😭😭
Yep
What’s the payload on your truck?
The payload capacity per manufacturer is 1,200lbs
Do you know if Jeep is making 2024 Gladiators? For some reason still can't build & price 2024 Gladiators on Jeep's website.
Yes they are making 24's They just have not started accepting orders for them yet
Bill & Deb love y’all’s Mojave!!! ❤ Looking forward to seeing Jerry’s get dirty soon!!! 😉 Shhhh 🤫 Don’t tell him I said that!!! 🤣🤣🤣
😂🤐😂
How did your autolynx lock nut get chewed up so bad? It got loose, with locktite?
Must have used channelock pliers to retighten…
The metal was so soft that when I tried to turn it back up into the locked location, the nut rounded off…. I then used a pipe wrench with no luck
That milage hurts me in my heart! Lol.
We have enjoyed every moment of it.
Good video, Bill. Can we invite you to do a review for our product? We have emailed you to inquire about an opportunity
We will check it out
