That was cool seeing San Francisco from the island. Those steps seemed pretty steep. Wow! They had metal silver ware. Glad they had tear gas whenever there was a fight. Or in case there was one. Nice the had an audio tour. I never ridden on the cable car. That’s cool! Sorry you didn’t get your ride it. Did you end up making the trip here to Vegas? Great video and have a great time with your dad John.
@@BrazenBrits I had just found my dad in 2017, he didn’t know I existed. He passed a yr ago this past Christmas. I miss him terribly. So do all you can to be with him. Love you guys!!!
Hi John (Natalie) and Laurence. Great to see you guys enjoying an adventure together. We did San Francisco about 10 years ago and absolutely loved every second of it. Unfortunately we didn’t have time to do Alcatraz but this video gives a good idea of what we missed.
It was seriously strange actually being there after spending hours on that game. The attention to detail in the game is amazing. I was worried as I felt to comfortable there. haha
Don't know the video game but this reminds me of the movie The Rock. Been a long time since I've seen Escape From Alcatraz, but now I want to watch it again. Nice video. Thanks for sharing.
Super video.!! Thanks for sharing the behind the scenes extras In Alcatraz , and, the winding roads of San Francisco… It appears you had great weather… Now, go treat your sunburns with some of that special soothing lotion I left ya.!😂😜 Great video, thanks for sharing… ✌️🧡🙏🇺🇸
Hi Laurence and John (Natalie)! How was San Francisco? How was Alcatraz Island? I traveled on that Lombardo Street myself because I used to live in Oakland, California and I seen the worlds most crookedest road but I saw it at night time. I had never been to Alcatraz Island when I lived there so I’m glad that I’m seeing it now. I’d like that movie Shawshank Redemption. It does seem better to see.
Alcatraz was opened in 1934 ……closed 1963. It was not in operation in the 70s. I rode the ferry around it. But didn’t get off so I missed the actual cells etc., great vid. Thanks. Your papa is adorable. You are blessed to have him around,,,,,safe travels !
John and I really enjoyed the tour of San Fran! It is a great city to visit. You did a great job showing Alcatraz and riding across the bridge. Your dad is awesome. 🥰 J&C 🍀
Thanks for watching guys! This is one of those videos we made for us, so glad you enjoyed watching it as much as we enjoyed filming and editing it. Great memories thats for sure!
How cool is that to build those memories with your Dad. I have been across the golden gate Bridge but never to Alcatraz....huge bucket list item. Maybe hit the cable cars after ya get back from Sin City. Have really enjoyed seeing your parents enjoying USA....we are so greatful that we got to meet them Cheers 😊😊‼️
We really enjoyed meeting you Father and taking us along on your trip to the San Francisco area. Alcatraz Island is so interesting. Thanks for sharing!
Wow we are hoping to go to San Francisco next year so loved watching this. I am obsessed with prisons and bridges so both alcatraz and Golden Gate Bridge are on my to do list. Love that you can get open top bus over the bridge 🤩 thank you for sharing this. Glad your dad enjoyed it too 😊
Ok, I'm sure others have asked, but your parents accents...your dad is very proper, posh I believe you'd say; while your mum sounds maybe Scottish? Would live to hear more about them and where they are from :)
haha. My dad is from Northern England (Sunderland) and my mom is from Scotland. Both have lived in Southern England (London area) for about 50 years though, so their accents have faded a lot.
@@BrazenBrits is Sunderland considered posh or proper? He just sounds like a very proper Englishman, not many of those left these days, no offense, lol.
@@vbjage Its not really. Its a Geordie accent. But he has been in the South for a long time. He also did a lot of international travel, so needed to curb his northern accent to a more standard British Accent. But when he speaks to his family back home up north, I can't even tell what he is saying 🤣
If i had ever called my dad 'old man' my mom would have smacked the side of my head n snapped me out of it quick! Or I would have been disowned, disinherited, yada yada. I don't know how u get away with it 😂. 🍻
I don't even remember how it started, but they both know that my little nicknames for them are all from a good place. We are a pretty easy going family and love a good laugh.....even if it is at the expense of their extreme age ;-)
Natalie looks different, but is still much better looking than Laurence. My wife says that time capsule probably has COVID in it, so they better never open it 😷

Is it the camera, or are you sunburnt?
I actually had an issue with strange colors while editing. However, it was very cold and windy, so I think it was a cross between those two things.
