I purchased the Amazon LS alternator and power steering pump bracket. The quality looks ok for the price, and I would use this on another build. On the S10 we did run into some issues withe the power steering gearbox. I may be able to find a smaller pulley to give me the clearance that I need to clear the gear box bolts and adjustment screw. As always thanks for watching and don't forget to subscribe!!!

Hey, just wanted to say thank you for this video, I had bought this kit, and it came without instructions. This helped tremendously.
@JoeyBlandford I am glad this helped you out. That’s what it’s all about. Comments like this is what keeps me making videos. Thank you for watching and commenting!

@papergatorzfedducca7998 I appreciate the sub!!! Thanks for the comment!! That means alot. I hope you find some useful videos!!!
Was the belt routing provided in directions? Thanks for the helpful video!
@edfimbres No sorry I didn’t show the belt routing, but if you pause the video I think it shows the routing well enough for you to see how the belt goes on. I hope this video helped you out. Thanks for watching and commenting!!
@@dtperformance256 did pause and take note of the belt routing. Thank you 👍
@edfimbres7 Glad that worked for you!! Thanks again for watching and commenting!
Might try a late model P/S pump with a remote reservoir, should give more clearance at the steering box.
@stevea6722 thanks for the input. I think there are smaller pulleys that will fit the shaft but thanks again for the idea. Also thanks for watching!!
Thanks yet again for another great video! Courios however to know your plan once you delete the power steering considering you bought the bracket kit. Do they make a kit with power steering being deleted? Also, I want to go with manual steering as well, but cannot find a steering box anywhere.
@yourpcmd ICT Billet makes an alternator bracket kit that deletes the power steering but it is pricey when compared to this kit. I have been looking for months for a manual steering box but they are the first pieces to be removed at the junk yards….if you can even find an S10 with manual steering at the junk yard.
Keep your power steering just use an electric pump from Volvo I have manual steering on my s10 not hard to turn but slow steering and to far from lock to lock great videos
@allencobbs4047 great idea. I will look into that!! Thanks!!!!
What kind of truck? S10?
@edfimbress7 Yes, its a 1992 S10 regular cab. Thanks for watching!
Which power steering pump is that ?
@montemoe it is the stock pump that came with the engine. Should be a saginaw.
Whats wrong with the stock alternator bracket?
@TRIPPLEWHOPPER I found that the stock bracket will work. I just wanted something that looked “cool”. I am to the point I just want to get it going so I am going stock bracket for now. Thanks for watching and the comment. Cool name by the way!
Wat the part number to the belt
@lsbackyardbuild1673 Thanks for watching and the comment!! I always leave the part numbers in the description if you need them. But the belt that was used was a Gates Belt for Alternator and Power Sterring - NO AIR CONDITIONING part number K060780. Thanks again, I hope this helped you out!!
Thanks for the help 💪🏽

Why did you go with this bracket vs factory bracket
@neon915 I just wanted something other than factory. Something cool looking. I am going to go back today and try to fit the factory bracket to the engine and see if the pulley will clear the steering box. If it does I am going to use it. At least the factory bracket has the alternator and the ps removed so I can clean it…lol. Thanks for watching and the question.
I did mock mine up with stock before my motor build and it cleared. Just was wondering if it was a major reason or not for the bracket. I do like the look of this one. My stock one got powder coated
@neon915 You got me thinking. I am going to pull my ps pulley back off and try the stock bracket. I am hoping it fits until I can convert to the manual steering. I may video this based off of your comments. Thanks for commenting and making me rethink this. I love the new brackets but if they don’t work it is no good trying to make everything else work around it.
