As someone who is living with ocd, the idea of taking pictures and videos of settings is a PERFECT idea and will definitely help assure myself that everything is set correctly!!! I can’t believe I didn’t think of this sooner!!! I bought a new Kia Forte almost a month ago. Love everything about it except the fact that I’ve been constantly having to check my settings because I can’t remember how I’ve set them due to my ocd. You seriously just saved me from a whole bunch of anxiety to worry about!! Thank you SO much for mentioning that idea as it’s definitely going to help me A LOT not just with this but with other things that have settings!!!!!! 😊

Why doesn’t the change I make to turn lane assist off stick? When I start up from cold it’s back on sheesh! Soooo frustrated by this

I have a brand new Kia Stinger (june 2022). I turned off driver assistant systems like lane keep and speed warnings but every time I turn off the car and turn it on again these setting reverse back to the standard settings. How can I save settings for good? Your help is greatly appreciated.
I have the same problem and it is infuriating. Please someone tell med how to make the changes stay permanent.
@@RazorRabidz I believe that it is not possible unless you can find a hacker who can change the settings in Kias operating system. Kia is really doing a disservice to their customers but they might be forced to do so by government regulations. More control on every level and soon we won't be allowed to operate a car - artificial intelligence will have taken over.
I have the same problems with speed limit warnings. Navigation is out of date in some areas and the speed limit is higher than car shows, and i'm getting constant audio beeping in those streets (even though i drive safely IMO). Would be good to persist turning this setting off, so I don't miss the beeping when it is really important.

We just got a 2023 Sportage X-Line AWD PHEV. The one thing that I hate is that it came with a standard rear view mirror. I want to upgrade to an auto dimming and homelink mirror. Do you know if the new mirror part is a simple plugin on the mirror housing or does it involve running the wire under the headliner?

Hi, I have a stinger gt line 2022 and just changed my radio system due to the speakers not working. But I noticed my backup camera now looks smaller and it has some settings on the side of it, which wasn’t like that before. How can I change the camera settings to remove that from the side?

I am so surprised in my new 2023 kia Sorento sxp hybrid there is no idle door auto lock ? Meaning if there is no activity for certain time if door locks are open they lock. It was there in my 2008 Honda Accord but not in this fully loaded kia 😔

I'm not sure that's the kind of language that I want to allow here. People are busy, people are tired, people make mistakes, and the fact that the car can help remind them is a great idea. As you mentioned, it can be turned off if you don't want it, but for a new parent to be able to turn it on, is a great idea.
@@BrantfordKia I reworded my comment. I find it appalling that an alarm or a display of this nature is necessary. I don’t find all the other alarms or notifications. necessary. At 66 I drive a car, it doesn’t drive me.
@@dmoore7519 Yeah, again, with something like this, I'm fine with having the feature. Like you, I think it doesn't have to be on, but the ability to turn it on for a new parent isn't a bad thing, it's a good thing in my books.

I have a 2020 Kia Sorrento, purchased preowned. The clock wasn't set. I found the date/time icon on the screen but it is "grayed out." How do I set the time on the clock? The time only displays dashes.
If it's greyed out it's in gps/4g mode, disable automatic clock, set the time then enable it
I know I’m late. How do you turn off eco mode on the 2021 soul ex? And also the auto high beams. How do you turn that on?
Great questions. The eco mode can be cycled on and off by pressing the drive mode button next to the gear shift. The Auto High beams will only work if you have the headlights turned to the AUTO setting, not the ON setting. Once you do that, you just turn on the high beams by using pressing the stalk. You'll see that the high beams don't instantly turn on, but they do say AUTO with a green symbol, instead of just the headlight symbol in blue.

What if the vehicle icon is missing
im interested in finding out how to turn down the reversing sound in my Kia Niro hybrid. It's so loud and my neighbours have mentioned it to me. Great neighbours but they wonder why its so loud. All of my searchings have only found one way and that's by removing a fuse!!! which causes problems when driving along motorways and not being able to open/close the venting panels.
I'm not aware of any way to turn off that sound in Canada. It may be different in other countries.

I don't have access to the U.S. lineup of vehicles, so I'm not sure.

@@dmoore7519 Haha! I've done the exact same thing. I've spent all kinds of time searching for something that literally has a button on the dash.
@@BrantfordKia it appears the S model has a lot less “stuff” in the setup screens. I’m getting in the habit of shutting off the engine auto shutdown shutdown when stopped. Again just me, I control the vehicle as much as possible.
I have a 2021 kia soul ,does this car have brakes setting? I hit my break lightly and it stops to fast where it will throw me forward.
Hi Marilyn, it's tough for me to diagnose something like this online. If you have concerns, I would suggest that you take it to your local Kia dealer to have them let you know if everything is working as it should. Sometimes the brakes on a new car work significantly better than the brakes on a used car that you may have been used to, but, like I said, when it comes to brakes, if you have any concern at all, a quick check by your local dealer is the smartest thing to do.
I have had it back to them and they keep telling me I don't drive it enough. This is bull
@@marilynncottrell2569 I'm not sure what to say. If you're not happy with what they tell you, it might set your mind at ease to try another Kia dealer for a second opinion. I'm sorry that you're not getting the information that you want to hear.
Picture was not needed, most settings cannot be permanently changed…😢 Like “auto hold” brake. Why do you have to turn that on every time..?

The Menus are screwed up. They should be Query oriented (what do you want to do?) OR MORE MENU CHOICES that tree off for simplicity. I DIDN'T BUY A CHEAP DIGITAL WATCH !!!
