I have had many fish from all 3 African Lakes over the past 30 years, I had Tropheus once and they died within weeks so I never got them again but some of them are gorgeous. I currently have only small Tanganyika fish (no tank buster Frontosa) I have shell dweller Multi's, Dafodil's, Lelupi, and some African catfish, my non Cichlids are bristlenose Pleco's and Rainbowfish which I have had in almost every Cichlid tank over 30 years.
I was able to purchase a small colony of tropheus Dubois or however it’s spelled. A couple of years ago had about 7-8 of them all but one died. I was heartbroken and angry at myself. But that one is still thriving so it gives me hope to one day give them another try.
@@ARod-br2ui I guess it depends on where you live but they are hard to find in my part of New Jersey. I don't like to mail order fish but sometimes it's the only way to get what you want.
Hi there - I want to order a new colony of Tropheus Moori Ilangi but when I reached out to a regular fish dealer he said this: "I never bring in Ilangis anymore. The exporters on the lake caught too many in the 90s and instead of giving them a break and let their numbers build back up, they caught Chilanga Trophs nearby and let them breed with Ilangis. As a result, the true Ilangi doesn't exist anymore. They're much more orange now than the yellow fish they used to be." Can you confirm with all of your connections if this is true and if so are there anyone with true Ilangis anymore?
Wow, this video is impressive. I have had a colony of 25 Red Rainbow Kasanga age and now down to 3. Tropheus are the best. I have measured mine up a bit over 6 inches. Expensive to maintain however, contemplating to get rid of tank now or replenish stock.
Great top 10 there are some amazing tropheus, personally for me the duboisi is number 1,i just made a showcase dedicated to mine, check it out if you get a mo

Ролик хороший но качество для такой красоты слабовато.
old, it's a movie from 2024, and there are a lot of mistakes as to the correct presentation of the fish and their names.
Вместо бемба сначала кириза был
