Oh you Aussies are so bad for me!😂 I thought my next tank would be electric blue acaras like Adrien but your fish have really grown and your tanks are gorgeous! 🤔 if I get rid of my TV I'll have room for 2 more tanks!

The egg crates are great for "bulking out" and raising hardscape in any tank, but they are literally lifesavers in a cichlid tank with their never-ending digging !
Judging by your workload and out of work commitments to the hobby, I reckon you need a real holiday without filming !
GREAT VIDEO. DONT FORGET TO HIT THE LIKE AND SUB FOLKS 👍🏻

If you cut the Styrofoam in pieces, you can wedge them between the garage door and the insulation to hold it in.

Get yourself a return pump for your sump with an electronic control and a “ feed “ button that stops the pump for 10 minutes.

hi Katie, it's been a while since I've checked in on your channel. Looks like you have come an extremely long way from when I started watching you! I'm so excited to hear how excited you are about your fish. Keep up the great work!🐠🦯 11:18

This has always been my favourite tank, isnt it such a great feeling when you see fry in your tank. You feel like you must be doing something right when theres breeding going on. Such a nightmare trying to get the fry out and into a grow out tank. Thats alway sbeen my problem, ive a bunch of Brichardi who breed like crazy but ive no room for a new / bigger tank for them :D

У меня такой же сифон и в нем есть клапан. Надо опустить сифон в воду и резкими движениями вертикально верх-вниз запустить воду. Дальше вода пойдет самотеком.

I love that purpleish colored algae or cyanobacteria or whatever it is that's growing on the rocks in your Tanganyikan tank. Whenever I've setup an aquarium it'll go through a phase where it grows that and then it'll go away. It reminds me almost of saltwater coraline algae. I wish I could figure out how to keep it growing but it always eventually dies and is replaced by something green which I don't like as much. *sigh

as much as you may like it, but sorry to break it to you but cyanobac is poisonous when consumed by fish and shrimp..normally it would be the second to last thing any nfishkeeper could want in their tank tbh

My experience is that cyanobacteria is not harmful to freshwater aquarium fish.

The pellet food is too hard and punctured the eggs when she ate. Thats what you saw escaping her gills. It is very normal for mouth brooders to fail the first few times that they breed. They learn as they breed more. Just make sure that the other fish are not abusing her as she is brooding, if that is the case you can either isolate her or remove the eggs from her mouth by holding her over a container and as she tries to breath, she will spit out the eggs into the container. Put and air stone in the container so the eggs are constantly in motion, (the female does this by chewing on them and moving them around in her mouth.
Also make sure if you want continued breeding in your Tanganyika tank make sure you use color food sparingly. Most color foods have hormones sometimes not listed that will make your females sterile. Make sure you are providing adequate green foods for your tropheus they are very easily subjected to bloat from too much protein. Your tropheus, the orange ones were showing breeding behavior, that was not aggression.
The Julidochromis once they pair off are easy to sex, males are always smaller than the females and the males tend to be the one that you will see protecting the cave more. Female will usually not do much of the guarding and she will do more herding of the babies.
