Escape from Tarkov ruined gaming for me...

- It's easy to talk about something you love, and Tarkov is just that, a game that changed gaming forever for me. It came out from being a little unknown game to growing into a leading extraction shooter, a game that is setting standards in its genre. No matter how much the bigger companys are trying to replicate what Tarkov has done in the past few years they keep failing, so what is it about Tarkov that makes it so special? In this video i'm talking about some of these things, i love Tarkov and the world that it let's me immerse every time i play. How do you feel about Tarkov? Let me know, and if you're reading this i hope you're having a great day, enjoy the video i made and of course have a good one!

12th wipe for me : there is no escape for me.
@@br0leg274 gg, i wish you many more great wipes!
My friend who loves this game also says that tarkov ruined alot of games for him. He no longer gets the excitement from playing any other games without the stakes of tarkov.
it is something special, it's both good and bad, sometimes you just get a burnout but it's like there's something stoping you from going to other games. don't get me wrong i would love to enjoy other games more, i missed so many games because of the wipes, maybe it's cuz of that constant feel like you're missing out when you're not playing tarkov.
I been saying I regret playing Tarkov because it ruined gaming for me.. every single game I play I just think to myself… it’s not like Tarkov… it’s not as good as Tarkov… it’s not as exciting as Tarkov…
I would be lying if i said i didn't play other games, but yeah it hard sometimes to enjoy them when "they are not tarkov", i try and have as much fun as i can but sometimes i get a quick burnout from them because of that same reason.
@@DeIta_6 same here for me. Especially shooters. No shooters can even come close to Tarkov.
Now I'm glad I've never played Tarkov, nor do I plan to play it
@@DeIta_6 just enjoy yourself thats whats gamings for if you like tarkov play it

how does this dude only have 255 subs?, this is probably one of the most emotional and BEST videos i have seen EVER on youtube. The editing, narration , story , everything is just PERFECT.
Earned a sub.
The Unheard edition was a kick to where it hurts from BSG, but I regret to confirm that I'm almost ready to come crawling back to my cruel mistress... Thank you for making this too-close-to-home video, great writing, editing and narration!
Thank you for the kind words, means a lot to me! Sometimes people say things they shouldn't have to or about something they love that they don't mean in that moment of rage. I wasn't happy, actually i didn't know what to think when bsg did what they did, but in the end i'm so glad the community showed them what this means to us and that we don't want stuff like that in a game we love so much.
Boogie woogie that shit with rust or arena breakout
Boogie woogie that shit with rust or arena breakout
This was poetic, beautiful and depressing all at once.
Great video brother! opachki
@@iWonInHD thank you so much, means a lot! Opachki
This!
I find switching between rust and EFT to help me a lot personally when I become sick of one
That sounds like a great strategy, it's always good to have a backup.
@@DeIta_6for me it’s dayz and tarkov.
2300 hours of Tarkov and into my third wipe (second full wipe), and i must say theres nothing like Tarkov. I sometimes play other games with friends, and clutches in CS2 or when you are close to a chicken dinner in PUBG doesnt even give me an ounce of nerves anymore. Great video and one that hit the spot perfectly for me when it comes to the way i look at shooters today compared to before i played Tarkov. Me and the friends that introduced me to Tarkov mostly play Civilization 6 multiplayer when we are suffering from wipe fatigue, or just want to play something casual and relax once in a while :)
@@Tropoc i've played some of these games myself and same thing happend to me, they're not the same for me as they used to be, and of course thank you!!
Beautifully said. probably the best game ever created.
Thank you, that means a lot to me!
Im 3k hours into this game and as much as I hate to admit it, i feel the same way. This game has made me experience feelings of anger, satisfaction, and despair I never new I was capable of, and yet i still log on the next day. The highs are few and far between, but oh so fucking worth the journey.
the highs are absolutely worth waiting for, sometimes it just doesn't go your way but when it does the satisfaction is great!
I too get reminded of tarkov when i play something else and see that they don't have 300 euro P2W editions of their game, that im not wallhacked and aimbotted by broken AI and constantly killed by cheaters who are vacuuming all the loot in the lobby
i'm not gonna try defent bsg here or anything like that, but just like every other game they had their share of problems, there's not a single game out there that's not plagued with cheaters right now, it's a global problem, they don't exist in tarkov only, again i'm not here to defend anything, of course it's not perfect, no game is, actually nothing is, it's only a matter of more or less unfortunately nowdays, i respect your opinion, i said mine in the video, i still love tarkov and will continue playing it while i still can cuz everything had its end, and i'm gonna enjoy it as much as i can, i hope you're having a great time playing other video games and that you also have a great day, thank you for taking some of your time to leave a comment here!
I would rather say that all your points are a testament to the quality of the game. Despite these points the game is still what it is! And I personally never felt the cheating problem that grave. If something was sus I just said to myself: its tarkov. what difference does it make if the sound exclusion zones fuck you up, or a scav one taps you or a wallhacker kills you, it happens, you get upset. Goal achieved I would say.
To everyone in the comments, remember "Tarkov is just a game", just remember those words and it will be easy to skip wipes and enjoy other games, hell you will enjoy tarkov even more if you treat it for what it is, a game.
I think most of us are aware of it, the thing is you sometimes can't help it but feel this way... thanks for taking some of your time to leave a comment!
This was fantastic, hits the right feels. Exactly what has happend with gaming for me. Thanks for making it.
@@BaldmanAUS thank you for taking some of your time to watch it, means a lot, have a great day!
Facts I’ve been playing since 2019 No other game has made me feel the pure adrenaline and satisfaction of Tarkov
@@brucewatson2698 i wish you many great wipes friend, thanks for taking some of your time to leave a comment!
Totally agree many thousands of hours over YEARS now. No other game captures the depth or sense of loss/accomplishment.
it's crazy to think that a game is capable of giving that feeling so well, i hope Tarkov will stay around for a few more years, can't get enough of it
Damn, nice video!
Finally someone talking about emotions, thanks
I'm going to stop Tarkov for the second time at the end of this wipe. Last time was last year.
Second time in seven years...
This game have something else
@@thomascostes2792 thank you, means a lot! As long as you're having having fun, that's the only thing that matters
Noting gives the adrenaline like tarkov
Nothing beats the moments when you have your first gun fights in the fresh wipe, the heart is pumping hard during those ones!
beautiful video, and i feel what you feel, not only with tarkov but other games too :D
Thank you, this means a lot!
Escape from Tarkov is not the title of the game, it is simply your soul that is stuck and therefore wants to extract, but it is not possible.
i feel the same way, but instead of tarkov it was dayz who brought this feeling to me..
Never played this game. I play League of Legends. I feel the same way. It's frustrating with an unbelievably high skill ceiling, but to me no other game compares.
Props for the editing man. Keep it up 👍
I’m still addicted to Tarkov after 2400hrs. Was my first pc game and the game I learned mnk on. Played solo only until this wipe. I remember I was so bad it took me two weeks to extract once, broke as heck. Even getting my first dog tag from a fight I finally didn’t die from haha. Those lil moments made my day and week so much better as silly as it may sound.
Doesn't sound silly to me at all, i remember when i started playing tarkov all the way back in 2017, i would crouch walk trough my raids, being so scared, i don't know why i was so scared but i guess the overall feel of the game back then was just so different from everything else i played, tarkov just has a special place in my heart. Thank you for taking some of your time to comment here!
@@DeIta_6 thanks for the video and reply!
@@DeIta_6 Same here, i was hiding in a bush half of the raid and i didnt shoot even if a pmc was next to me because of fear of loosing a mp5 xDD
I even used to play only at night (without nvg cause i didnt have money) because i felt safer that way
@@RhinoIV maaan sometimes i miss those old time when everything was so new and different. night time holy moly, that was a big nono for me, i was scared af. crouch walking was my go to hahaha
@@RhinoIVthat’s smart , took me a while to realize to be smarter like that. Was a big dummy here dying over and over lol
PUBG is the only other game that makes me feel like this. No game matches it’s gritty feel and high stakes end-games despite all its flaws, we all keep coming back.
I just cant scape from tarkov
I've owned tarkov less than 2 weeks and this is literally me
Hello, I haven’t played Escape from Tarkov (but it is in my wish list) but having seen this, have you heard of Ready or Not? I think it is what the people in this community need.
There is no escaping Tarkov. Im 1500 hours in. Thousands of raids. Even when im bored of Tark, its all i want to play....
i'm here since 2017 and i still can't get enough, i love tarkov, i still play some other games but mostly tarkov, no matter at what point the wipe's at, can't wait for the next one, it's always exciting!
PvE has been great, until....... its not......
It does get boring. I love the wipes.
I find it hard to play pve for myself, it just hits so much better when i know there's a real person behind that character i just saw, possibility of meeting someone or having a funny encounter is more of my vibe, but i respect it. nothing beats the fresh wipe feeling for me.
*"i dont want to escape anymore.............*
the way he speaks gives me the "shrek is love shrek is life" flashbacks
exactly the same, a love hate relationship really. its such a slow burn, but all i wish is for the elimination of Desynch and some god forsaken loading times more reasonable that comes with an updated engine
Same for me but mostly with shooters. I still play league and war thunder but other games i just cant play for prolonged periods of time.
yeah i feel you, making this video actually made me revisit some of the old games i loved playing before tarkov and i have to say i had a blast playing them.
man im glad i escaped from tarkov after playing for around 4 wipes
good for you man, i love tarky, i don't really feel like this is a mayor problem i just want to enjoy it while it's still around. i'm having a great time playing it!
This was me but with Rust. I've got about 8000 hours and I finally broke free from its hold after the Devs ruined the game with more and more garbage but at a certain point I would play about 16 hours a day and months on end. I'm scared to play games like tarkov or dayz because I know that they're going to do the same thing to me. Right now I'm playing star citizen and its had me hooked for 3 months now and I even lost my micro transaction virginity to it so ye sometimes we find a game that grips you like no other. Another good example is Skyrim too
This made me cry.
i didn't expect this even tho i went for that kind of wipe, thank you for taking your time to comment here, i hope you enjoyed the video. Have a great day!
I'm looking at 188 Subscribers then looking at the video and thinking "this must be his second channel".
Subscriber 189 *o7*
hahah thank you friend! but this is indeed my only channel, i just started taking this a bit more serious like 2 months ago, still trying to find out what kind of stuff i'm gonna be posting, but people seem to enjoy this kind of content, i might just go with some gamplay soon with this kind of style, i hope it's gonna be very soon, but work and life stuff are kinda holding me back atm
Since started playing tarkov, cant play any other shooting game. They feel bad. Tarkov has that big ammount of choices for pvp. Each map is made, so pvp feels better. Put walls, or trees. Player flow is controlled.
Why is this guy not famous. Would love to play with ya sometimes.
Thank you friend, i appreciate that!
After tarkov the only game to make me actually enjoy it and be hooked is Dark and Darker
I still enjoy some other games but my filter for games changed a bit since i started playing tarkov, thank you for taking some time to leave a comment here!
Dude that video is great I love it
thank you so much, this really means a lot to me, this kind of comments make me wanna do more of it!
@@DeIta_6 Well good luck with your channel then ! Just remember whatever you do in the future, that you did make a great video and some people loved it ;)
awesome video.
Thank you, that means a lot!
IDK how this found me but dude! Im 11.7k hrs in the game and i still honestly cant quit. Can't play shit else now either unless its tarkov like.
10/10 video tho
damn, 11.7k hrs is crazy. while i don't have as much hours as you do, i feel like i could easily play it as much as you did without getting bored, sometimes burnouts hit but i just came back around so fast.
@DeIta_6 I've played since 2017. Lol. I've gotten to 68 before. But usually give up around then and play dayz 🤣 but I have gotten kappa every wipe since before woods upgrade. Didn't get it last wipe lol. I was in jail 3 months
@DeIta_6 but my main is CEO-OF-ESP, feel free to look at that account. It's at 8800 something, my other account for hard-core has I think 2500-2700. I don't and haven't used it since 2018.
@DeIta_6 but I will tell you from 2017-2023 I did not play a single other game. I was financially stable to quit working a few years and just played the shit out of it.
This had to take a lot of effort and time. Good job man.
This means a lot to me, thank you for recognizing it, and for some of your time to leave this comment!
Some Player´s who boycotted the game because of The Unheared Edition did come back to Tarkov., because Tarkov ruins all other games.
2nd.: The Mark of the Unheared device is not Pay2Win, it´s in truth Pay2Lose, because you have to go into PvP fight, if you want or not as soon, as the first Scav is neutralised. And we all only saw the good things it does, but not the bad things.. that is why, it´s Pay2Lose
i don't really want to get into all this stuff but honestly if i have to say something then it's only that i want to play the game i love and continue to enjoy it like i've always did, sure tarkov had its share of highs and lows but in the end it's a great game, i'm glad the community reacted the way they did and showed the devs that we don't want bs from them, we only want to play and enjoy it like i already said. Yes people came back and will come back when the wipe hits cuz there's not a lot of games that can capture the feeling that tarkov gives when playing it, i'm not here to judge anyone, people say a lot of stuff when they're mad that they don't mean in the end when it comes to something you love.
Seh ich auch so. Gruß Fi :)
Personally I had a similar experience but with Stalker and Metro 2033
As i said, i'm sure many people have these kinds of feelings for other games, in my case it's tarkov, it changed completly how i look at games nowdays.
I feel the exact same way
Tarkov's a great game, sure it had it's highs and lows but in the end of the day it is a great game and i'm gonna make sure i enjoy it while i still can, have a good one friend!
i feel this on multiple levels
thank you for taking some of your time to comment here, cheers!
Great narration. Subscribed ❤
You have a way to escape from tarkov. Change your country, and you will not be able to play it. I imigrated from Belarus to Poland, and I can't play tarkov anymore! My account was bought in RU region, and Poland is in EU.
guess i'm stuck indeed then, i'm joking i still play other games, but as i said there's not a lot of games that i enjoy as much as i did before, tarkov changed it for me, for me in a good way. i love tarkov and don't plan to stop playing at this moment, can't wait for the new wipe!
Games that are second jobs ruined gaming. Tarkov ruined gaming but not the way you think.
One of the best parts about EFT is the devs. They crack out the scavs and make the game unplayable just often enough to force breaks and unsatisfying flirtations with other shooters.
Play Stalker. All 3 of them with the best mods. Fells much better than Tarkov because you actually have a story and a good progression.
+ the Ai and the world feels more real.
You can say a lot of things about the potential addictiveness of the game, but you should never forget addiction has little upsides, and it leaves you open to eat up anything the modern live-service shit pipeline will try and shove down your throat, without having you notice the amount of time you will regret you've spent on the game. Just like Warframe and Siege already have become long ago, this game is half as fun and rewarding as it once was, and it's only your responsibility to separate yourself from it once and for all, no matter if it already caused problems in your life. I don't want to sound patronizing, but please, actually think about it once in a while, double check if you truly want a video game to be your second job (or worse), eating away at the possibility of doing literally anything else that's actually worthwhile.
I love the bladerunner referance bro
Man,i must agree and disagree in a same time. Yes, Tarkov is not just a game. Its a...place,hell and heaven at the same time. That rush of...frustration,satisfaction and fear this game giving is something....unimaginable for someone who never played this game. Yes,wipes are frustrating, starting again....and again. But, ain't that the reazon why is this game not boring?
After every wipe, you get chance,to start again,do something different in your playstyle.
Ain't that the thing Lightkeeper ment when he said "we can't escape from Tarkov"?
Yeah, its the reazon why we playing this game,to....escape.
But everyone, who playing knows, that deep inside, they dont want to...... Escape from Tarkov.
And i?
Heh, its...its my thing to do,to play now.
Eaven if i wanted to escape.
I will start new game.
But deep inside,i will never escape from Tarkov.
Excelente video amigo abrazo
thank you friend!
Tarkov ruined shooters for me the same way Elden Ring ruined adventure games.
Tarkov is genre of shooter never seen before. Whereas Elden Ring perfected existing mechanics.
every guess everyone has that one or few games that changes something for them in some way.. i hope you're having a great day and thank you for taking some time to leave a comment!
I have never played tarkov i am planning on it
if you're planning on playing it i wish you fun times and that you're gonna enjoy it, i certainly do enjoy it and i don't think playing it is a mistake, it's a masterpiece that everyone who likes shooters should try out. it's a great game!
@@DeIta_6 thanks
The fact that this generation thinks a game with lackluster gunplay and no real point other than killing and looting people is the greatest thing just shows how depraved this generation of gamers really is. I disagree with the entirety of this video. Tarkov is not a great game by ludologist or narratologist standards. Seems like there is perhaps a generation of gamers that doesn't go outside enough, so they look for some "hardcore" experience in video games rather than in life. As a gamer, I highly suggest playing a sport, going outside, and involving yourself with real risk/reward/adrenaline instead of using a poorly designed "game" to emulate it. Games should get back to being complete and fleshed out/finished GAMES. Games are important because they're not important.
Rust is similar survival but does lack the depth of tarkov
Rust is great, i'm sure some people feel like this about some other games, in my case that's tarkov. it both gave the greatest gaming experience i could have asked for but it also took away time and will to enjoy other great titles out there.
It works very similar with DayZ, at least for me
dayz is a really good game, i guess everyone has it's own "Tarkov", i'm sure other people feel like that about some other games. Let's hope we can all enjoy our games for a long time!
💯💯
Thank you!
Beautiful.
@@nrares21 thank you, that means a lot!
yes.
haha cheers!
The video is great.
And as engaging as that mechanic in Tarkov is, I actually feel very sorry for you 'new generation' guys.
I miss the good old times when a game engaged players for REAL high stakes, like the rescue of an innocent hostage in hands of violent terrorists that execute them if you give them the chance, or a VIP with deep political repercussions, like the ones presented by the classic Rainbow Six games.
Engaging so furiously because of gear looks so much 'below' anyone's true worth.
real.

Dude, just drop that trash game and live your life as i did, as all my friends does. This is not a game, this is dirty crack of gaming from scummy developer from my country, believe me, i can 200% fell the soul of the whole idea behind it, so just keep away from tarkov for long time and save your brain from roting
