    that clutch-mod, while very basic, is also GENIUSLY cleverly designed with the torsion-arm to add resistance and the notched ramp to simulated that clutch release-feel

    The classic clutch made me order instantly the fanatec bundle with load cell elastomers

    Thank you for the thorough and insightful review! 👍
    Ordered mine immediately after watching 👀 .... I already have the 3DRap CSL LCM Brake mod and LOVE it 😀
    The only thing that I have issue with so far is the replacement rubber rings 💍
    ...the originals are plastic (washers?)...that can crack/break upon removal and install (due to pressure and alignment)... the 3DRap replacement rings look cool and are a nice alternative however mine split within only a few hours of use (which gives more play in the pedal under braking).... so still looking for a viable replacement option for the rings/washers....
    Cheers! Like 👍 deployed!

      Thanks for the warning about the rings, I'll be fitting the brake mod soon, I'll try and be careful not to break them.

      hi, for the brake mod, which one is better (progressive, linear, hybrid)

    • @Zascar_88
      @Zascar_88 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@walkyris2125 i actually did a simple/quick test with stock, linear, progressive, and hybrid. Basically picked a csr_track i was comfortable with then ran a minimum of 3 to max 5 laps and recorded lap times.... also noted feel (personal preference really). I found my times fairly comparable across the board- although the stock qas noticeably slower lap times for me (like 1-1.5 sec).... I landed on the hybrid just for the feel and it was like .100 faster.... however, I just this past week changed to full progressive instead and am getting the muscle memory retrained but so far it is the most "real" feel to a real car. Gt7 doesn't do anything special with braking (linear) so it has minimal effects in game, but personally feels the best.
      The rubbers are a great substitute for the stock stiff ones.... if you are needing a little travel in the brake pedal these are it! What isn't mentioned is that you may find that you need to increase the BRF on the wheel to keep from brake lock up.... a viable stiff option is one yellow bushing and 2 or 3 black (stock) ones.... for some people just enough pedal travel (almost like the old CSL foam center)...
      Worth the money 💰 👌 💯 😎

      @@Zascar_88 great, thanks for your feedback on the mods. I play the rally game a lot and a little asseto corsa and automobilista 2. I'm thinking of taking a hybrid for the 2 types of games

    THX for the review. I initially was using the old brake pedal as throttle when I got the load cell brake. But it was just to resistant and had to constantly make sure my foot was fully pressed. To many times I would see I was not at 100 percent throttle. So just switched back to original throttle. It needs this or other mods badly as there is no feel in the throttle at all. I am shocked and wonder why Fanatec themselves did not make the pedal better or at least sell a mod themselves.
    I went ahead and ordered the 3Drap throttle mod. I am in the US so expect it by the end of October.

    • @loganjones3723
      @loganjones3723 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      dont you mean you were using the original brake for the clutch? When you get the LC brake the old brake is used for the clutch, not the throttle. That would be a bit silly considering the CSL pedals have a dedicated throttle pedal in both sets.

    would you reccomend this clutch mod or the race sim engineering kit only really interested in getting a more realist clutch feel

    Assemblys straight forward lol. Here i am with a spanner and torque screwdriver and can not remove the fing bolt at all. I will get some penetrating fluid at the weekend to see if that helps.
    My biggest advice to anyone considering this mod would be to try removing the csl bolt before purchasing to avoid wasting your money like im 90% sure i have

    • @SimRacingCorner

    In your honest opinion between the 3DRap and the DIY RC dampener for the CSL throttle pedal, which would you say adds the best feedback in terms of resistance and immersion?

    Do you think this product will make its way over to thrustmaster t-lcm pedals?

    • @SimRacingCorner
      @SimRacingCorner  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't think so. The simple, flat design of the Fanatec pedals makes them easily moddable. That's not the case with the T-LCM pedal design.

    • @SimRacingCorner
      @SimRacingCorner  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The 3DRAP mod is more realistic. Though, if you already had the RC Damper mod installed, I doubt anybody would be inclined to think it was worth swapping it out with the 3DRAP mod.

      They aren't identical, but look very similar. The slope on the Vintage orientations are where you can tell. Test that mode, and you can't mistake the strong clutch effect.

      @@SimRacingCorner thanks about to purchase one or the other from your links. 1 last question though.. I’m heavy footed. The 3Drap looks progressive on the throttle versus the much nicer looking sim engineering, but the latter looks very linear ?

    • @SimRacingCorner
      @SimRacingCorner  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TomTheSurgen1 I wouldn't say there's that's much between them in the overall resistance. But the metal spring and metal frame isn't going to wear and fatigue. Where 3D printed parts won't last forever or will at least lose some of the tension. The 3DRAP mod does work really well, but I would say it's worth paying the extra for the durability.
