- Hi sweeties! I hope anyone is reading this but the day after last week's video, TH-cam has changed ad control options :( From now on they decide where and when ads will be played and ASMR creators no longer have control over what type of ads play.
I think this is a incredibly stupid move on TH-cam's end. They say that it is supposed to benefit creators to earn more money but realistically, for the ASMR community this isn't helping us, as we want you to fall asleep to our videos and not get woken up throughout the middle or end of it.
It is nice to earn some money from the work we put in, creating ASMR videos but by doing this, they basically screw over the entire relaxation community on TH-cam.
I hope they will change this back again in the future as I know TH-cam is constantly changing. This change will not apply to all of my past videos. Only to the ones that are getting uploaded from now on.
As much as I would like to not monetize my videos, I am financially in too tight of a position to do that so. I hope you will understand and I apologize for this stupid change that is out of our control!

Hello :) I know that 99% of you guys do not read my description but this has been in the making for months on TH-cam's end and you might want to read it this time! Other ASMR TH-camrs have posted about this too and i am not sure what we can do as creators. just a side note, the changes won't apply to my past uploads, only to future uploads including this one.
Hi Ilse! What a mess You Tube has been lately..You work so hard to make these videos for us and I keep hearing about the creators being screwed over!! I hope they find a way to fix these problems.
Competing platforms are gaining more traction because of these ridiculous policies.
Would it be feasible to get a sponsor of some sort so you can control the ad placement? Or is that harder than it looks (I’ve no idea I’m just a watcher not a creator)

Thank you for the heads up. TH-cam is stupid if it thinks mid-video ads will be tolerated by ASMR viewers. What will happen is we will only watch old posts. I stopped watching 2 different channels with numerous ads throughout the video. I was actually angry that those creators permitted several ads all throughout a video. It’s intolerable because we turn the volume up for whisper videos so when an ad suddenly appears our eardrums are blown out. The whole thing makes me sick.
I know what you mean! Although I am a creator I am in the same boat as I also watch ASMR videos to fall asleep to. The whole thing is just upsetting.

wow, I've never had that happen to me in my life and I love going to the movies. I often go to the matinee showings because the tickets tend to be cheaper, and many times they are only a couple of people.

Thank you so much first of all for your time and effort. I just think eating videos should be dedicated to their own channel. I don't even find eating videos to be ASMR. I do know a lot get tingles and love it and many feel sick and would much rather have old school Whispers about for example what your first few weeks as a new person in Canada we're like, what it was like meeting Chrises family for the first time.. How you fell in love or how you knew you were falling.? How you found Lena and what first sparked your interest in animals. what you do aside from fish stuff. What relaxes you aside from fish stuff, etc. these are just examples, of course you choose your content.
YOU and your AMAZING talent at making people relax via your voice/face, tone enough that they eventually fall asleep to the sound of your voice. You have a voice that makes people that comfortable. That's rare, that's a talent. Would love to hear more about you and how you spend your days (even w/out getting too personal ) is what a lot of people are craving.. I just know it:)

Happy thanksgiving to you too! We had ours last month. It is about a month earlier than in the US :) I have almost 700 videos up to this point and all the subjects that you mention as examples are already talked about in past videos :D That's why I do not talk about those things again generally because they already have their own dedicated videos ^_^ I have a video about how we met and how that went, moving to Canada, I have a dedicated video about how Kiki came to us and Lina, I talked about what I like to do in my free time in many videos in the past as well. Currently all my days are spend working on my aquarium stuff which I talk about in most of my recent videos over the past view months :)

I remember when Popeyes ' chicken sandwich came out several years ago and how overhyped it was. People were actually getting into fights over who would get the last sandwich when they ran low on them. Was the reaction the same in Canada?

I got TH-cam premium a while back and can't even imagine putting up with adverts now. But it is pretty lame for anyone trying to fall asleep without it.

When I go to the cinema I prefer going to early screenings (mornings and early afternoons), and there have been plenty of times where I’ve been the only one in there. Or maybe even me and a couple other people. But Cineplex never ended up cancelling those screenings, so I’m wondering why they cancelled yours. Makes no sense. I mean, ticket prices are quite expensive (especially for IMAX), so it’s not like they’re making zero money.
I know what you mean! We have been in the IMAX theater all by ourselves before. This was also a earlier screening in IMAX, so you can imagine our surprise when they cancelled it! We were supposed to get a cancellation email but that never happened :P I guess there is a first time for everything.

I am not sure which old house you mean :) All my videos since 2015 have been generally filmed in the same house. Unless I am out of town and film at a friend's house which doesn't happen often.

You are really going in on the fast food lol. Only a couple times a year for me but great ASMR sounds. Don't drink your calories. Everyone is taking about the Hunger Games but I don't think the originals can be beat but I am willing to check it out since everyone is saying good things about it.
