Hi! Since you were so nice and didn't gatekeep secrets I'm going to tell you mine: Use bopp laminate rolls. They are way, way cheaper, you can use a cheap laminator (mine costs like 40 usd, and the laminate roll has 30 meters and costs like 30 usd) Normally I cut the laminate a little bit wider than the pc for both sides (one side holo, one side matte looks cute to me) you have to do both sides at the same time, pc by pc. Cut a sheet of normal copy paper (I use old papers from my work office) in half and fold it so it's a quarter of letter size paper and put the pc sandwiched between the laminate inside the pocket. After that put it through the laminator when it's hot (wait a little bit longer after it says it's ready) and just like that they are ready. I found really useful your tips for printing

Hey! I wanted to let you know that this video was super helpful to me, thanks for making it!! I'm making OC trading cards and they came out really nice.
These remind me so much of ACEO-cards from way back haha. It's so cool to see the change in workflow that newer technology brought with it. We used to draw them by hand, glue them together or on a sheet of thicker paper and then either laminate them or put regular adhesive tape on xD. Yours ended up looking so nice! I especially love how colorful your art is, it's really pleasing to look at. I sadly only have an old printer which prints extremely pixalized, so I won't be able to try this myself. Well, maybe someday :)
Thanks for sharing! but I'm also worry about the fact that I only have a cheap printer and scare that it doesn't have the quality that i want... or perhaps it can be done as long as i use greater paper quality regardless of what kind printer the printer is?
I'm not sure what kind of printer you have but from my experience with older printers, as long as it's inkjet, adjusting the settings to "high quality" and making sure you're choosing "photo paper" can make a big difference 🥹💓, and make sure your artwork or image is clear and not pixelated or blurry! Hope that helps
I love this idea, including the photocard gacha! I would love to use that idea on my market stall, if you are okay with that? I also wanted to ask if you have a recommendation for canvas size for making the art? I'm still learning how digital art works and canvas size is the thing that confuses me the most 😅
Yes haha, no worries I'm not the only artist doing the photo card gacha at their booth ☺️👍 this is just a tutorial on how to make your own cards hehe. And sure, photo cards are normally 2.5"x3.5" , I think if you go any bigger they might not fit into the cardboard machine. However you can make them any size if you're not using a card dispenser. The rule of thumb is to normally draw in 300dpi + so your artwork is clear and can be resized, printed. Hope that helps!
Thank you for the videos!!! Maybe I will be doing this sometime when I have time and energy (/yo just lazy) (and I just found out you know ATEEZ too... and yes I love ATEEZ, Tears of Themis, Genshin & Star Rail 🙇🏻♀️)
thank you so much for the tutorial! i used canva because the link for the website was not working so do you know if you can add a back to the photocards on canva? :)
Yes! I use canva too. You just have to make a new page with the same template to set up the backs of the photocards and print it on the back. Please keep in mind the photocards are flipped when printing on the back so please check that the backs match the correct photo before printing!
I have the Epson 8500 Eco tank but I can't get a high quality like yours and I don't know why. I don't know if maybe I have the wrong paper but I tried like 4 differents paper. If I go to the printing shop their quality is much better, but I can't pay every time much money.
If it's blurry, I would check the DPI or resolution of the images you're printing and only print on photo paper. Regular paper or regular cardstock will print grainy
Hi! I really like your video. What paper would you recommend to proxy mtg cards? mtg cards are about 320gsm from what I've read online. I've done this in the past like 2 years ago and I *think* I used koala 2 sided glossy/matte 180gsm + 3mil laminate pouches, but I truly don't remember. Whichever way I did it, yes they did turn out a bit warped after laminating. Nothing too horrible. Still playable. However I'd like to get it better this time, and save time and money on the lamination process. I'm definitely going to reference your video because I'm getting the same printer as you and vinyl holo sheets and you 100% know what you're doing! Prior to this I just used any old printer, printed on the photo paper, laminated and cut and that was fine to play. But this time I want to get better quality prints and the "feel" of the cards while, hopefully, saving time from not laminating. I'm in a discord for proxies and others are saying to just drop the laminating and go for thicker 300 gsm paper. So we were gonna try out 300gsm plus vinyl(?) but that seems like it'd be too thick in my opinion. Who knows. Do you have any tips/advice for me? Thanks so much! I really enjoyed watching your video.
Hi Thanks so much for the kind comment! Really appreciate the support And I do know MTG and TCG cards tend to run on the thicker side so 300-320gsm sounds about right. If you want to be able to achieve printing these cards at home, it's almost very difficult just because thicker photopaper and laminate can only be made by larger press machines. However it's not impossible :) Thankfully Red River Paper offers a large catalog of papers and weights specifically for art and photo printing. They tend to be on the more expensive side because their paper is premium however the quality is fantastic. In the video I use Aurora white 300 (4:42) which I warn is pretty thick. They have other paper types as well that run in the same weight but this is the one I use: www.redrivercatalog.com/browse/aurorawhite.html?search_size=8.5%20%20%2011 I had to push the paper in the back feeder in order for my printer's rollers to be able to take the paper. This is just because at home printers are not made to print anything thicker than 300gsm, this is essentially cover paper and most at home printers do not print on anything thicker so paper sources like koala or epson won't offer anything thicker than 180gsm. But I'm still able to print on them just fine, I really like the Red River Paper, it's thick and feels almost the same thickness as MTG/Kpop cards since they won't bend easily. It has a matte finish so if you want to laminate them you can always buy Avery cold laminate or matte cold laminate to have a smoother finish. These are optional. I usually pop them into the heated laminator if there's any bubbles. The thicker paper also doesn't warp with the laminate which is nice. But I know not everyone has access to the resources above so sometimes just getting it printed outside is completely fine too! Someone suggested in the comments below that www.makeplayingcards.com/ is very popular for making custom MTG cards. I think I would recommend outsourcing to print because it's a higher quality and you will be spending less than buying a printer and supplies if it's a one time purchase. Unless you already have a printer or would like to continue making more cards in the future, investing in one is not a bad idea! :D
should I still do the online even if I have bad quality pictures? I couldn't but a photocard set, so i wanted to make sum for me and my friend, but i only have low quality 😅
Wait so I have a question for the lamination step at the end u first have to put the cold lamination on and then put it in the heated lamination machine ? Bcs I have a lamination machine put it applies the plastic for u, so you just have to put the paper in
You can just use the lamination machine and skip doing 2 steps! I apply cold laminate manually because I don't have a machine to roll it on for me, but I'm not satisfied with manually applying it so I put it through a "hot laminator" to melt the plastic against the paper so it's super clear!

8:13 Does anyone know where exactly she opens the template? When I try to open it on my computer it gives me 2 options (Note pad and Microsoft word) and it doesn't open to what she has. If anyone could tell me what she's using that would be awesome :)
@summersinanan5739 Because the file is big it needs to be sent in a file that is called ZIP. To open a ZIP you need a program such as winRAR or 7zip to use the files provided in the folder.
Hi!! I was wondering if it is safe to run the Bleidruck holographic and Avery clear laminating sheets through a heat laminator? :o Have you ever had any issues doing this? Tbh I’m a bit scared to try because I know self-laminating sheets don’t need to be run through a heat laminator!
Since the Avery and bleidruck are cold self adhesive sheets, a heat laminator is technically not required but I like to "melt" the plastic so that I don't have any bubbles. I would just check your heat settings on your laminator just in case and not have it on too high! Mine doesn't have a temperature setting so it normally melts plastic pockets 3-5mil but I haven't had any issues laminating my cards or any burning. 💞 I hope that helps! You can also just use the heat lamination pouches themselves and cut directly ☺️
I tend to draw on 5x7 canvases specifically for my photocards because I use the art for prints too, but half of 5x7 is 2.5x3.5 inches (63.5 x 88.9 mm) or (240px/336px) You can draw any size canvas but just remember to to draw in at least 150dpi so your artwork can resize for any print size!
Hii! So my artwork is usually drawn on 350-400dpi and I always export as PNGS so retain the high quality. The photo card template is also recommended to be in 350 dpi so when you import any work into it and resize, it should still remain clear when you print it 💖
Hi! I loved this video ^^ I make kpop fanmade pcs in Brazil, and my process is a bit different from yours, because of the materials and resources I have here, but I loved to see the way you make yours and learned a ton from it ^^ One lil thing that I wanted to ask you, is that like, in your print settings you showed that you used the borderless option, but on the right of it there was an options box, ygat in my printer leads to two options: expand or keep size. From the outcome size of your borders, I had the inpression you had the "expand" option on, but here I always use the "keep size" one and it works perfectly. Do you have those options in the borderless setting of your printer too? Sorry for the long question xD
No problem! I would say "keep size" for your printer setting works best so the template remains the same 💗 "expand" will make any image on your printer bigger to fit the page
If your printer can print in color and allow borderless option you should be able to yes! From my experience inkjet printers would be recommended if you would like more vibrant, color accuracate prints and photos. Hope that helps!
I haven't tried heat laminate pockets but I imagine they'll turn out the same finish. However they might have a border and air bubble inside since the pockets aren't adhesive to the cards. 🥹👍

Really appreciate the support
And I do know MTG and TCG cards tend to run on the thicker side so 300-320gsm sounds about right.
They have other paper types as well that run in the same weight but this is the one I use:
www.redrivercatalog.com/browse/aurorawhite.html?search_size=8.5%20%20%2011
I had to push the paper in the back feeder in order for my printer's rollers to be able to take the paper.
Does anyone know anywhere in australia where youd be able to go a print stuff out? I dont have a printer of my own nor do i have a laminator

@ oh the arts rlly pretty!
May I ask about your pc setup and the tablet you use?
YOUR ART IS SO CUTE WHAT HOW DO YOU NOT HAVE EVEN 1K YETT is your main on TikTok? That’d make sense but STILLLL TH-cam algorithm is doing you dirty.. 😔
969th sub hahah
Thank you so much!💗 I'm not very active on TH-cam but I would like to post more content in the future! TikTok has just been another avenue to help me learn and make shorter videos haha
Omg 969th, welcome to the GYUPPII club 🥰💖
8:13 Does anyone know where exactly she opens the template? When I try to open it on my computer it gives me 2 options (Note pad and Microsoft word) and it doesn't open to what she has. If anyone could tell me what she's using that would be awesome :)
Hi! Did you try unzipping the folder? The files packed inside should include a .png file of the template or PSD
@@gyuppiifish I'm not sure how to do that... when I click download and press open doesn't take me to the same thing u have :(
@summersinanan5739 Because the file is big it needs to be sent in a file that is called ZIP. To open a ZIP you need a program such as winRAR or 7zip to use the files provided in the folder.
I need some of my fav F1 drivers
love your card!
Hi Vograce! Thank you so much 💗💗💗
Hi!! I was wondering if it is safe to run the Bleidruck holographic and Avery clear laminating sheets through a heat laminator? :o
Have you ever had any issues doing this?
I was gifted a pixma Canon printer and used badge holders for the office
1:45 Super curious where you got the handheld 3 pocket binder
Shopee ! I'm aware shopee is not available outside of asia though so possibly temu or aliexpress also carry the same 3 pocket binder !
Can someone tell me what the size of the photocard need to be if I am using 4r size photopaper
ty for this video! very helpful information! but also EYES what's that lil dispenser you showed in the beginning? o: nifty lil thing!
It's a Japanese cardboard dispenser called HACOMO ☺️ you can find it on Amazon JP 💗
@@gyuppiifish aah, tysm! may your pillow stay cool and your cups of water be the freshest!
Hi I'm soo sry is that for free?
Do u recommend any printers?? If u do can u send link
im so late but what is the size of the canvas for photocards? like how many pixels do u use.. hhh I LOVE THE VIDEO AND UR ART BTW
I tend to draw on 5x7 canvases specifically for my photocards because I use the art for prints too, but half of 5x7 is 2.5x3.5 inches (63.5 x 88.9 mm) or (240px/336px)
You can draw any size canvas but just remember to to draw in at least 150dpi so your artwork can resize for any print size!
Did the price of the avery laminating sheets go from like 24$ for 50 sheets to 60$ for 50 sheets or am I seeing things wrong?
Good tutorial

LMFAO
HII!! i just wanted to ask how you resized your image (9:37) without the quality changing? :00
Hii! So my artwork is usually drawn on 350-400dpi and I always export as PNGS so retain the high quality. The photo card template is also recommended to be in 350 dpi so when you import any work into it and resize, it should still remain clear when you print it 💖
0:57 omg can i know the artist of that taehyun art print? 👀
Yess! It's by SPFY on Instagram instagram.com/sp_art_?igsh=MXhtbjJmcGMxbHkx
Where did you buy the book for cards
They are from a local store but they are called "binder trading card sleeves"
@@gyuppiifish thank you so much xx
May i ask what software or app you are using at 8:14?
Clip studio paint !
@@gyuppiifish thank you ☺️
what app did you use to template photos..
No problem! I would say "keep size" for your printer setting works best so the template remains the same 💗 "expand" will make any image on your printer bigger to fit the page
ive been want to make custom tcg/collectable cards for my ocs! though i have a question: i have a laser printer; would that work instead?
If your printer can print in color and allow borderless option you should be able to yes! From my experience inkjet printers would be recommended if you would like more vibrant, color accuracate prints and photos. Hope that helps!
I love kpoop too! I am a big kpoop fan! ❤️
Kpop* sorry it sounded like you said k poop😭🙏
Hey i have a question. How can i makenthe ohotocards more harder. Like official photocard??
@@chaewonsassy-ii4uj thicker photo paper like 300gsm cardstock!
Could you tell me if I can use heat laminate? I have old glossy pockets left and wanna use them up.
I haven't tried heat laminate pockets but I imagine they'll turn out the same finish. However they might have a border and air bubble inside since the pockets aren't adhesive to the cards. 🥹👍
When I saw Argenti I click
Hi! What ink are you using on your printer?
