Kenmore Elite Oasis Dryer F1 error

Dryer model number 11067032600 had electronic burning smell an F1 error flashing on display. Removed Controller Board and saw burned spot. Replaced part W10111617 and it fixed problem. I am thinking now I should have just tried to solder the burnt spot. I was thinking afterwards that maybe the board shorted because the solder weakened until shorted out. Maybe you can try that and let us know if that fixes yours. If so it could save you $150-$200 for a new board.

Thank you. I have this exact model and your video instructed me enough where I got my board out. Now I have to get someone to solder it because I'm not going to buy another board if I don't have to. Thanks again.

Folks Save A Couple Hundred That is a Relay Not A Capacitor, Re Solder The Relay With A Jumper Wire To The First Contact Next To The Relay. Good To Go Works Everytime.

I’ve fix this problem before. You don’t need to buy a whole new computer board. You just have to solder that point that blew out. It’s an easy fix
