This man took the explosion like a champ, it's like he felt no pain.
It's called shock for a reason. Body shuts craps off, like pain reception & pumps you full of adrenaline to give you a fighting chance to get out of harm's way. Be around when the adrenaline wears off & he'll be totally different animal. I really feel sorry for this guy. Them keeping him laying down on that incline is the best thing they could've done. The incline will make it easier for him to breathe (like sleeping on a 2nd pillow when you're stuffed up with the flu or bronchitis). Plus, there no real way to even gauge the true extent of his injuries where he's in shock & dazed.
The burst blew the guys hard hat off through the air.
Ive always though those things are an outdated design.
They need to be more Ice Hockey style
the thing didnt even hit him in the head. the hard hat went flying because he went flying and hard hats are not actually fastened to the head for multiple reasons including comfort, ease of movement, and the fact that a chin strap like im pretty sure they use on hockey helmets could strangle a person in certain situations. the fact that the hard hat can be knocked off easily is actually a safety feature in a lot of cases.

Only thing I don’t like about the show is the constant narrator explaining the history of the island over and over. We know the story we have watched the series

Who are the 2 people laying in each end of the section of pipe on the ground at 1:08? You can see the guy in the far end of the pipe jump out & run up where everyone is gathered around the injured worker, but the guy in the end facing the camera never moves. Deep sleeper? You can tell it's another worker because you can see the left arm with blue worker's clothes, a watch, and a red glove on, but the rest of the body is obscured by a white tarp. Weird. Another mystery!!!
People would die for this Antique Caribbean's Treasures.
Have a maintenance and replacement schedule for all high pressure parts. You replace them when it is time, regardless of how they look. These things can be predicted and prevented.

What happened to the History Channel? Growing up me and my dad used to watch it all the time, back when the programmes were enaging and actually about history. Now we have programmes like this, ancient aliens, American pickers which I couldn't care less about

You can hear the machine groaning and the hose twisting, and there's the operator and assistant jusk looking upward, and here it goes explosion where the unstrapped hardhat goes off upward and slammed by the high pressured hose releasing enery on that man's body.

I think you're watching rich people getting poorer. I read somewhere that before the start of this show, the brother's net worth was an estimated 100 million a piece, and now their net worth is valued around 2 million. I'd say the show being on the air is the only thing keeping the operation going at this point. If they don't find something substantial in season 7, they'll be bust and the show will be cancelled. And the money pit will have claimed another fortune.

Well the Laginas may never find a treasure chest full of money, but sure sounds like that worker did. Just needs to hire a good lawyer
History Channel, and the oak island team: "Hmmmmm people have been searching this island for treasure for 200 years, and no one has ever found anything of value that can be confirmed other than a couple tiny trinkets... why dont we spend several million dollars doing exactly what everyone before us has spent 200 years doing?"
my bet is that IF there ever was a treasure, it was found LONG ago. i know if i ever found anything like that, the LAST thing id do is go around advertising it to everyone in the world... not only would doing so make ME a target for anyone with a gun or knife and the will to steal everything, but it would have my dig site over run with people trying to push in on my claim, and media bugging me non stop. what i would likely do is transport the treasure to another, more secure location, melt any gold/silver found down into ingots, and sell it all off little by little as i needed extra money. pretty sure anyone with half a brain would do the same.

This story gets worse and worse every time I see anything new about it. On the bright side, the story for each episode is only one minute long with a repetitive narrative that repeats what happened in that minute over and over for a half hour.
