After the 44 campaign, byron realized he was throwing away strokes so he charted every shot and vowed to save a stroke per round.i believe he won the first six tournaments in 1946 had enough to buy the ranch and retired. Always thought had he kept playing instead of retiring at 34 how many more majors he'd won and maybe ppl would revere byron like they do Hogan. Byron, ben and sam three golf greats . All had great swings.
So, I keep hearing you apologize for his swing, as if it’s not technically correct somehow but I can assure you, the beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.
Hi Scott dont know why I would apoligize for Byrons swing I certianly didnt mean too, but the real beauty is always a low score on the scorecard and Byron could certianly do that most beautifully LOL.
