Work from Home Friday, a day in the life ft. a weekend trip to Lewes

- Hello :) I have another mid week video for you guys, last week I filmed my day working from home, then we headed down to Lewes for the weekend and had a mooch around the shops, went for a lovely meal at a local pub and visited a local brewery down there. Really hope you enjoy this one! xxx

I’m so happy you’ve uploaded today. I’ve had a bit of a day at work (maybe more like a bit of a week) and as I was walking home from the station (in the pouring rain) I decided that tonight I would have sort of a self care, protect your peace sort of night. I had a bath, ordered some takeaway and then spotted this video - perfect timing! Lewes looks really cute, and definitely nice for a quick weekend away - looking forward to seeing what you bought! I must admit, I do love a Gail’s, their chocolate almond croissant is amazing. Have a great rest of your week! x
There must have been something in the air today, I also had a shite work day! Jess' videos bring me a wee bit of peace to relax with in the evening. Here's to better days ❤

That few days of torrential rain was horrendous wasnt it haha! I was soaked through. So jealous that you have a bath in your apartment I love nothing more than a warm bath after being out in the cold/rain, that along with a take away sounds perfect! Its honestly such a gorgeous little place. Amazing walks around it too and lovely independent shops and restaurants! Definitely worth a visit if you are ever around London or the UK! Thanks for such a lovely comment, hope you are getting to enjoy the bank holiday weekend! xxx

Woo love that you are a fellow accountant too, I actually have a huge curved screen in my bedroom that i can set up but the only space is in the kitchen and i dont like it taking up all the space ha! What a lovely town Lewes is Jess! All town centres in the UK should be as pretty with loads of independent shops. I’m a massive supporter of independent’s and the arts and crafts, and British heritage artisan skills. My absolute bug bear is beautiful historic towns which allow garish, ugly, trashy signage and those vile plastic flowers.draped everywhere. There should be a ‘law’ 😉 (council ruling) to make sure frontages compliment the area and not spoil it.
Lewes looked really charming. I hope to visit soon.

Totally agree, I think Lewes has so many gorgeous independent shops but there are a few of the usual vape shops and bits like that opening which is sad! Definitely worth a visit if you like those similar things to me (which it sounds like you do!) and lovely to explore the castle as well, and Lido. Such a historic little town! Doing liquid liner on camera is a bold move, I applaud you! That LRP spf for the face really is the best, I use it all summer long
I was a bit shakey haha I also sped up that clip! God its the best isnt it, goes so well under make up.. I also want to try the tinted one!

Hi Jess - I don’t know if you’ve been to the Polish pottery shop in Lewes but they have some lovely stuff in there 😊
I have been past it on the way to the Pelham but I have only ever been past when its been later in the evening and closed but it looks stunning I need to visit when its open and go in to see the pieces, they have some incredible blue hand painted bits from what ive seen in the window! Thanks for reminding me I'll definitely do this next time xxx
