    Great video. I'd have been tempted to keep the base the original size and roll it into a stuffed crust haha!

    Great vids, keep them coming. I use a CArri Chef 2 pizza stone and sprinkle dry semolina on the stone so it never sticks. You can use flour but it will burn at a lower temperature than semolina. Great pieces of kit...

    Do you use a deflector to stop it burning

    Tintenter Pizza - my godson will love it. Just ordered the Safari Chef 2 and he ask me if I could do a pizza with Salami toping on it…. I had to check for a video on TH-cam (he picked yours, so he could test his english knowledge) and had to order a pizza stone as well. So next weekend it will be Tintenter Pizza, baked in the new grill. 😊😊😊😊.

    I made one on the stone. The left over dough I put all around the edge of base to make it look like a stuffed crust, stops all the melted cheese running off, also you can load on more 😋😋😋I left the paper on. But it didn’t remove easily, maybe the pizza needed a little more time

      Cadac clearly state stone should not be put onto direct flame

      MICHAEL Davidson it’s a bit confusing in the instructions. I’ve not used mine on the safari 2 yet. I put the stone in my kitchen oven. What are you to rest the stone on then on the safari 2 ??

    Hi, thank you for doing this video. I actually found it very helpful. One question. How high do you have the flame on the burner? Do you heat the stone slowly on a low flame?

  • @ingeheijda2775
    @ingeheijda2775 5 ปีที่แล้ว +9

    Why remove the paper from the dough. It is baking paper so you could leave it there while baking the pizza., can/t you?

  • @jimfwhitmore77

    My first one caught fire.... was a shop purchased one so just needed to heat it up. Left the cardboard on the bottom 😂😂😂

    I see you put the stone directly on to the pot holder. I tried this, albeit with a stone that looked a bit thinner than the Cadac stone, and this resulted in the stone cracking. Is it not advisable to place the stone on the griddle to get better heat spread ?

    • @michaeldavidson6679
      @michaeldavidson6679 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      See above do not put stone on direct flame. On cadac put on heat deflector

    ....la prossima volta metti solo 2 cucchiai di passata di pomodoro con sopra un po' di mozzarella olio rigorosamente extra vergine d'oliva ed un pizzico di sale. Stop!
    per favore usiamo pochi ingredienti ma buoni.Un saluto da Firenze.

    Once you’ve got your stone hot, turn the gas off, the stone stays hot plenty long enough to cook the pizza

      I've tried flour, no flour, gas on low, gas off and no matter what I try the base always burns (a little like your croissants 🤣). Think I may get a wire rack like you use on other videos and place it ontop of the BBQ grill then place the pizza stone on that 🤷‍♂️

    You need to put cornflower underneath the pizza dough, then it will not stick.
