  • EoE - or eosinophilic esophagitis - is an allergy-related condition. A kind of white blood cell called eosinophils can build up in your esophagus where they don’t belong. That can lead to swelling, pain and trouble swallowing. With EoE, it can feel like something is often stuck in your throat. It can be painful to eat dry or solid foods or swallow. It might feel like food is coming back up or that you’re about to vomit. EoE can become serious enough to require surgery.
