Hi Jennifer…loved your podcast and knits. I live in the village of Jackson Maine. We’re about 40 mins NW of Camden. I’m familiar with, and have been to the yarn shops you’ve showcased. My fiber friends and I do the yarn cruise every year, but don’t make it to all the shops. I’m near Belfast Maine and we have a very nice yarn shop there owned by my good friend Helen. It’s called Heavenly Yarns and has a large wall of Maine yarn. My sisters and I (they are not knitters) are headed for PEI for their yarn festival in October. I’ve been wanting to go for years, but covid, hurricanes, etc. I can’t wait! Will look forward to your next podcast!

What great yarn-y goodness! I'm sad I didn't make it to Heavenly Yarns. I'm excited for you to go to PEI for the Fibre Fest! I wish you the best time!

I am currently knitting a cable project and I just recently learned that cables eat up your yarn .So you may need to buy more yarn for your snowy 😊 I am enjoying your podcast, keep up the amazing content

You're right. The yarn did get gobbled up by the cables. I bought more to be on the safe side. Phew!

Ooh, I just love your Anker sweater in the Lettilopi! I’d like to make one myself, but am unsure how to figure out the yardage I’d need. It’s hard to be a newbie knitter! Loving your podcast😊

I just weighed my Anker Sweater. She's 330g, which is almost 7 balls of Lettlopi. Let me know if you have any other questions. Good luck!

Hi Jennifer, my daughter bought a house in Maine in Georgetown. I have been to the Mother of Purl shop a few times. It was a very nice shop. My next visit to Maine, I hope to visit the Cashmere Goat shop. Maine is really a lovely place to visit. I have also been to Ben and Jerry’s ice cream place.

I love your Amy slipover. I’ve had my eye on this sweater but after seeing your version, I now want to rush out for the yarn. So much fun! Also love your linen clothes! We were suppose to be in Maine this months but canceled because of our new puppy……next summer we’ll be there so thanks for your vacation vlog with yarn stores!

Thank you! It was a fun knit. Most of my linen garments I've sewn. I started sewing last June and love wearing clothes I've made. Good luck with your new puppy and hopefully you can bring them along for a Maine trip next year.

That Amy Slipover might even be called a tabard. Or not😊

Okay, I’m a knitting newbie, so I’m wondering why do you keep smelling the yarn skeins you purchased on your wonderful trip to Maine? Thanks for taking us along!😎

Ha! I love your comment! Some wool smells "sheepier" than others. I think it's the lanolin, which is an oil from the wool of the sheep. As a knitter, I adore the smell and a common characteristic of rustic (less-processed, less-treated) yarns still give off a high lanolin smell.
