As someone who works in child protection, I would advise you to wait until you hear all the facts before passing judgement. 9/10 children in these situations get placed with grandparents without incident. There may be good reasons Winter Daisy is not in their care.

I work with the mom's trying to get their children back & watch them go through all the hoops to no avail. I guess that's why my comment was so harsh. But yes, you're absolutely right, if there were issues she'd be better off elsewhere 😉

So many foster children are abused. And that’s a proven fact! CPS doesn’t follow up on anything!

I just love how people hear or see all of this stuff and they're so concerned but not one person does a damn thing to call for help ridiculous to think of how many lives could have been saved if one person could have picked up the phone and called for help
My girlfriend and I reported our neighbors one night in an almost identical situation. The cops came and talked to the boyfriend at the front door, and they followed up with us immediately after. They said a mirror had fallen off the wall during an argument. (This was around 2:30am) He told the cops that she was fine. They told us they had spoken to her via telephone and she had refused to come downstairs. I said, "For all you know that's his sister on the phone pretending." They said they couldn't enter the apartment. The next day my girlfriend was alone and the boyfriend knocked on the door of our apartment. She, of course, didn't answer but it scared her. So I went next door with an Army buddy and we knocked on HIS door. This time HE didn't answer. We shouted a few things through his door. We considered calling his company commander or unit office (we are both prior service and this dude was still active) but ended up leaving it alone since we saw her and she seemed ok. Sometimes calling won't actually change anything.
Normally I agree that people need to intervene more, but this is not one of those times imho. If you have ever lived in an apartment complex, you know that your neighbours can be noisy sometimes. If I heard a thud in my neighbour's apartment and nothing else (no screaming, no noises of a struggle, etc.) I probably wouldn't call the police either. I would assume something heavy fell. Most people would.
What was there for anyone to do in this case? Almost everything in the story happened after Ashley was already killed. Even that neighbor who heard that thud....probably wouldn't have made a difference if she had acted immediately. And yeah....people hear strange sounds from their neighbor's all the time...... you can't expect them to call the police every time they hear something strange next door.
Never ever live with someone that you have broken up with-especially if children are involved! She should have gotten her own place when she moved to Boulder!

Living with your Ex to raise a child, and moving on with another relationship, is not advisable, especially when you are having conflicts and fights, time to move on. May Ashley's soul rest in peace. I really feel bad for the child, where are the family members, why is not anybody stepping up for the child.
@@DebyMorgan Here in the US, both sets of grandparents or next to kin can fight for the custody of the child, and authorities have no say in it. Also, Adam's parents and sister seem to be good people, unlike Adam. If they show no interest in fighting for the child, then there's nothing the authorities can do about. CPS will resort to handover the child to foster care, only as a last ditch effort, when they have no other option.
Not letting the parents and family have the whereabouts of the body parts so they could have a burial and closure etc? Is pretty awful of Adam, but I'm not surprised by his behaviour. He's an awful person, incredibly selfish and cruel.

This reminds me of another case when someone hears something alarming, but doesn’t call the police. It’s better to be safe than sorry everyone so just call the police when you think somethings going on.
I mean…I can think of many other cases where I question why no one called the police but this isn’t one. One loud “thud” doesn’t really warrant a call to the police. I have lived in 3 separate apartment complexes and if I called the cops every time I heard a loud noise coming from a neighboring unit I would have been calling weekly and probably annoying the police and my neighbors. If you hear a loud thud followed by screams or banging then it would make sense to call but I just don’t see this as a case of “someone could have done something”

The whole road trip seems something done in a state of mindless running with individual actions almost taken as an opportunity presented itself. That and is complete refusal to take responsibility or give any explanations almost seems as though the murder as induced some psychosis. At least he is never going to be a threat to anyone else.

Too bad Ashley followed him and lived with him despite the fact that they weren’t romantically involved. It never works to live with your ex. When one of them moves on, the other feels left out, whether or not they share a baby. When you add a baby, things become more complicated and can result in the tragic event that occurred.
Thankfully Adam is absolutely useless at being a criminal and a murderer and he was caught incredibly quickly. RIP ASHLEY... I hope that Winter Daisy has a good life in the future? Peace
Its disgusting he had thoughts about hurting her for a long time but didn't put himself out of the situation. He should have moved out or told her to. He could get a paternity test so he could partial custody. But someone like him probably shouldn't be trusted with a child. If only Ashley didn't involve him with the baby. Ive seen other cases where the mother wants her child to have their father in their life, even if he has abused her. One case the father shot her to death while holding the baby in her arms and a toddler right next to her. The children weren't hurt but now they are orphans. He didn't even want to look after the kids. He neglected them on the days he had them. Not everyone deserves to be in their child's lives!!!

Colorado CPS not giving Winter to one of the grandparents is very weird. Every other state goes there first....even his sister who showed up at the house when he was cleaning up. That is very strange. Great video. Love your channel.

It is a pity that he won't say what happened and why he killed her. The whole road trip seems something done in a state of mindless running with individual actions almost taken as an opportunity presented itself. That and is complete refusal to take responsibility or give any explanations almost seems as though the murder as induced some psychosis. At least he is never going to be a threat to anyone else.

Too bad Ashley followed him and lived with him despite the fact that they weren’t romantically involved. It never works to live with your ex. When one of them moves on, the other feels left out, whether or not they share a baby. When you add a baby, things become more complicated and can result in the tragic event that occurred.

Third party custody cases cost a minimum of $150,000 and that's why the grandparents haven't been successful at obtaining custody.
Its disgusting he had thoughts about hurting her for a long time but didn't put himself out of the situation. He should have moved out or told her to.
He could get a paternity test so he could partial custody. But someone like him probably shouldn't be trusted with a child.
If only Ashley didn't involve him with the baby. Ive seen other cases where the mother wants her child to have their father in their life, even if he has abused her. One case the father shot her to death while holding the baby in her arms and a toddler right next to her. The children weren't hurt but now they are orphans. He didn't even want to look after the kids. He neglected them on the days he had them.
Not everyone deserves to be in their child's lives!!!

Another senseless murder and now Winter Daisy can’t even be with her biological family . It’s weird to because normally they give the bio family an option to adopt before putting them into foster care 😢
