I have Asrock B650 PG Lightning after 3 days working fine, now yesterday going to the bios and after 1-2 minutes there the bios FREEZE!..Only reset pc going inside the bios and this happen again after try to save the options...this happen 3 times again.My bios is the last 3.01

Though the search function is broken for some reason.
I followed it just as you showed, and got permanently black-screened. Had to remove the CMOS battery and do a BIOS reset. Just letting you guys know that my computer did NOT like those settings.
Same but it worked. Performance per core drop by 790 to 750. And couldn't get back into bios cause of the usb diable lmao

I have this same motherboard, can you answer me? What do I have to do so that the frequencies of my 7800x3d processor do not drop and rise from 4.8 to 3.2 ghz? since the frequencies are not fixed and I would like to have them fixed.

I have same motherboard and CPU. Did all the settings and waiting for reboot. Wonder how long it takes? It's been about 7 min now and a Google search says can take hours 👀. Lights still working and everything
I just wanted to say thank you for this video. Your knowledge and explanation of the BIOS settings helped me lower latency and increase FPS.
Followed step by step and PC had a black screen after booting. I waited 20 min. I had to reset the cmos. Not doing it again.
So, in the games you play, how many more fps do you get with those settings?
Sitting at 1hr 15 min after exiting and saving changes. Computer is running and monitor black. The computer has gone into sleep mode 3 times now and need to move mouse to wake it up.
Does it potentially take hours to work? Or did I need to flash with a USB?

So many settings I never touch before, so thanks for the information! FYI after saving and shutting down, PC took a pause for maybe 3 minutes before it booted up again.
My pc turns on for few seconds and reastarts after that I did the same bios as you also have the ASRock x670e

i did this optimalization with latest BIOS version. Max Speed shows 5050Mhz its normal?
5050 Mhz is the maximum what 7800 x3d can boost, without touching fclk clocks. So yeah, it's good 👍
So why are the BLCK options disabled while using the 7800X3D, this was the whole reason I purchased this board, the Asus boards do enable BCLK when using 3D V cache CPUs, I'm doing something wrong?
If you trying to OC this CPU, don't. It's a waste of time. Trust me, not worth the time and effort invested.

I know you said to not touch pre-fetcher in the settings but when you think about it… that’s telling our CPU’s to preform another layer of instruction… so what did I do ?
I turned it off… & what happened when I turned it off just like I did on my previous R9 5900x ? gameplay was 100% better for me.
I’m looking into other settings aswell to see if there are any benifits
Wow Man. it was descent review of bios settings. I now have 7950X3D with same Motherboard and Noctua NH-D15 cooler i managed better stability from my system at 4.8 Ghz its maximum cause im limited by temperature. Last time i configured MSI Z170A mb in 2016 there were way less setings)) I dont understand many settings yet but at least for shooters it should works. Also like becuase i hate ASUS after my laptop((( Cine bench showed +30 points after optimization by your guide. thanks
Hello. Can you set "Core Flex" as in Asus Motherboard, which prioritize cores used during gaming? This alghoritm is super helpful for 7950x3d users as it boost my fps roughly like 100+ in some scenarios. How can i use it on Asrock? can't seem to find any bios setting about it

Thanks for the video. For some reason when I use your settings, something changes where I can no longer press del or f2 to enter the bios. My rgb keyboard lights turns off and then the pc boots into windows. It seems that the usb gets interrupted. I have to short the pegs to reset the bios settings to factory in order to enter the bios. Can you please help? This seems to be a common issue with Asrock boards.
I think I figured it out. Enabling thunderbolt support causes this.
Some of your settings are missing on my Tiachi Carrara x670e with bios 2.00
Also, your -20mv does not work on mine it makes it so I can't boot.

@@TheWhale030 Yeah, my PC is unstable and won't boot if I follow your guide.
Only thing that works is if I do a manual memory timing & pbo + a - offset.
Manual per core.
All cores 15, except Core 1 and 2.
1 & 2 work at -25.
rest -15 is fine but anything else it won't boot.
Pretty sure I did not win the lottery on this one lol but as long as it's stable and works I'm ok with it.
3Dmark is ok I guess, 36 fps in regular timespy.
CPU temp never hits 65c.
@@xVertigo101 Same here, but the thing is, some of the cores are the fast cores. They are more unstable when undervolted. In the amd app in windows, when you go to the cores, there are cores with gold and silver atars. Those can't handle too much undervolt. Als, those that have the big cache (the 3d series) , also require more stable power, and can't handle big frequency changes.
Learned it the hard way.

Nah settings are there. They just moved/ rearranged them. Use F4 to search for them.
Thanks for the great video, btw would you recommend Asrock taichi over the competition in price range,( for 3d rendering and USB4) , Asus x670e Proart and Gigabyte Aorus x670e Master, they both have usb4/thunderbolt abilities, while asus had some bios and quality control issues but many people praise the Gigabyte Aorus x670e Master as GPU slot x16 mode is unaffected by adding stuff in other slots
i rec the w taichi coz of 90A misc and killer network, also the asus extrem is way to expensive and this board will always get updated first at asrock. can say much about the usb driver and chips used

I have a B650E Taichi Lite motherboard.
I have a high temperature in the chipset.
Are there options in the BIOS that help reduce it?
The temperature at rest is 75 to 80 degrees, and at pressure time it is 85 to 88

The SoC/uncore over voltage changed to 1.300 (red) when I put DRAM to either competitive or aggressive. Is there any reason why that would not be the same as in the video? My ram is the same except 6000mhz

Something is really wrong with your configuration/setup if you're only getting 388fps on 1080p benchmarks. I have the exact same system and I'm getting 445-450.

Unplug you display port, plug in hdmi, reboot. Wait until logon screen, plug display port back in.

So i had these settings working on bios ver 1.21, i updated bios to 1.28 and redid these settings and pc just shuts down after 10sec or so. Any ideas?
Make sure Memory context restore and Power down are both either enabled or disabled. They work in tandem. See if that fixes it.

im buying the same board is the taichi and taichi carrara the same board? i dont like the marble look
The X670E Taichi is basically the exact same as the X670E Taichi Carrara but be aware there is also a B650E Taichi that is a little different. IIRC the only difference between the two X670E boards besides the visual appearance is that the Carrara comes with an extra fan? It's been a minute since I looked into it but nothing major.
They're all solid boards though, I only have the B650E version but I'm more than happy with it. His little side tangent about the board vs asus in the video is spot on; you get a LOT for what you pay for in comparison.

I would go to the exit and reset everything to defaults and start over. You might have accidentally done something you were unaware of

@@caxx.g Well essentially undervolting allows for the cpu to achieve theoretically higher frequencies at a lower voltage. X3D CPUs run into a case where they are sensitive to voltages (on cache ccd) because of the chance of it could kill the die.

Have you double checked the connections from the PSU to the graphics card? Also, check that you're connecting with displayport cable that works and to the card, not the motherboard, unless the default is somehow to integrated graphics from the motherboard. You can try, if you have two sticks, one at a time and see if the system boots. If not then if it boots with your old
RAM, which I am assuming you still have.

Cuz OCing this CPU is not worth it. Undervolting gives higher performance. Source? ME! Trust me you don't want to go down that rabbit hole trying to OC this CPU. Better RAM and UV gives the best results.
@@Sleepless4Lifeactually you can overclock the cpu and get higher speed.
Undervolting does not tell the cpu to clock higher, problem is bclk oc is not worth it the stability problems with your ssd and overall system.
And eclk motherboards cost like 400€+
carefull when i do this my monitor blackscreen i need to restart my bios opening the mother board battery and stuff this is so risky i wouldnt try it again crazy

IT happens only to you for me everything working, even -40mV profile of pbo do, u do something wrong or maybe your psu is not good enough
Guys outsite of AMD EXPO, Memory Context Restore, setting your fan speed and eventually PBO if someone like to mess up. There is nothing much to change that will barelly do anything.
The most important is to choose a good ram for mobo to work with EXPO profile(yes EXPO because it works a lot of times more stable than XMP on AM5 platform) because it gives the most performance boost.
Memory Context Restore and Power Down on enable will make your boots much faster.
PBO is eventually and u don't really need to mess with it if u don't want. I didn't even mess up with it and my PC works flawlessly on ASRock B650E PG Riptide.
PWM Fan speed is preferable to set up or just go with Performance mode. I prefer to set up 4 setting on different % depended on degree u have.
Outsite of those, nothing else will improve your gaming performance. The only downside of it all is that ASRock Bios seems so outdate. If not the problems i read on internet i would choose MSI, but ASRock seems most stable for AM5.
