Awesome what you did, I have a 05 grand prix V6 been putting money into it, changed spark plugs, transmission fluid.Runs great .Sometimes doesn't start after it's warmed up and I go and restart it for some reason.Used gumout fuel cleaner on ,it.Plan on cleaning the maf sensor and intake.And oxygen sensors.
I have the 07' GXP and I have won so many races against cars you wouldn't think I would. Including the SRT 8. In fact I spanked it pretty good. It was funny because he is the one showboating and trying to agg me on until I raced him he was just being a real smart ass. Bet you he wished he didn't now. Man did he feel dumb afterwards. As I got to where u was going and he drove past honked his horn to get my attention then flipped me. I couldn't help but to walk away laughing.
It's a shame the gxp is so incredibly limited by it's transmission, the 3.8 gt shares the same transmission as the 5.3 gxp and the transmission is less than capable with even the 3.8s torque. Gxp tranny's blow at 150k 9 times out of 10
Very nice GXP , sounds great! Ive had my share of fast Pontiacs in the past, ( LT1 Trans Am, LS1 Trans Am and even a V8 swapped Fiero GT ) and currently have a 2006 GP GXP wich i actually bought from Darrell Waltrips dealership in TN, it is by far my favorite car to date! Its black on black with Bonniville GXP 18x8's all the way around,looks great always getting compliments. As fars as other mods, I had a TEP stage 3 trans put in and some exhaust work done,( the LS4 just has one the best V8 rumbles ive heard) next spring the turbo kit goes in! :) wich shuld handily keep up with the SRT 8's and Bimmers...plenty of bang for the buck and nice looks for a sport sedan and no huge maintenance costs!..
I can attest to it being faster than the 5.7 rt hemi cars. Beaten a couple from a dig and a roll in the gxp. Now I got the srt8 covered too since I got the ws6. Crept on a srt8 392 the first day I got it.

you need headers and a cowl hood. mine has 406 hp. then I'm going with rear mounted dual turbo. Be hitting about 500 hp. Brand new rebuilt trans too. AWESOME video

on a cold start during the winter if it's really really cold winter days as age comes you can get a little gas in your oil on cold starts which I just watched a bunch of people here in Maine developing gas in the oil on a lot of cars when it was zero below temperatures temp sensor stays a little chilly O2 sensor stay chili which dumps more gas it's not being burned and gets into the oil

I love mine! It's Silver too... All stock, but I just got had to get a new trans (got a Jasper) as the stock finally died (144K miles). Also: Rear Seats fold down and you can fit 8 foot long 2x4's crosswise with the trunk lid shut (Passenger seat folds down too...)Just going to have a hard time this spring getting to the 4 spark plugs in the back to change them out on this sideways engine. If it was in the normal way and Rear Wheel drive, is the only way I would love it more..
I had crap shifting for a couple days and then it got BAD. All of a sudden one morning, it was slipping and thunking getting to work (two weeks ago), and poured a ton of trans fluid in just to get safely there.. too late.. burned it up anyways.. Towed to the shop and they said the motor mounts were bad and that caused the axle to slip out and THAT ultimately caused it to crap out. Happened over a few weeks, they believe. Jasper reman $4100 out the door 3 year/100K mile warranty. The shop I went to might be a bit high, but I really trust these guys and they stand behind things well. Supposedly, Jasper fully tears down a trans and meticulously rebuild them and warranty things the right way... but check that out yourself: ( www.jasperengines.com/transmissions ) So, I guess I better watch my Motor mounts on this thing.. I drive it like I stole it, so... (I'm the Second owner. 40K miles when I got it in 2010 for 16K. 144K miles today. Car is paid off, so trans is worth every penny...)
The transmission r so bad mine went after 1 month of buying it used, I drove it 1500 miles. I really like it though but now I've gotta spend like $2600 for a rebuild transmission including labor.

I have owned several BMW’s. What pieces of crap. They are ok when new but after a few years they just start having problems. They are cheaply made cars believe it or not. Always in the shop for problems. They don’t make money selling cars but repairing them. I’ll never own another. Keep your Pontiac !

Dont get a bmw. repairs are 3 times more than on a domestic AND as you know EVIN domestic car repairs are EXPENCIVE! Not to mention beemers break easy. Get the 5.0
I love my 06 black gxp but imma have to get rid of it soon. *sad* I've dumped a ton of money fixing it all the time. I mean yeah I drive like 100 miles a day with it it but still it's a bad ass car even with all the issues and repairs. New alternator, wheel bearings, radiator, water pump, harmonic balancer, transmission rebuilt twice, motor mounts replaced twice, power window motors, etc. Problems it still has since I acquired it like a year and a half ago. Are: catalytic converter clogged or thereabouts, rack and pinion, all 4 struts, control arm bushings, and maybe a few other issues. Ugh. This car is amazing, beats most modern cars straight stock, reason why is you jump the line on em soo hard the opponent has to struggle to catch you lol. Easily do 13s on quarter mile drag. Sucks I have to get rid of it soon and take negative equity because i still owe a bunch of money on it. But it's becoming a money pit.....😥😥😥
It’s silverish blue I tinted the tail lights and took of the stock spoiler and repainted it it gloss black and left the light in it red to accent it I plan on getting the hash marks and painting the gas black like yours installing a pioneer radio head unit putting black plastic rim inserts over the stocks, vinyl strip on the front, new rear defuser, and Im cutting the stock muffler and tip of and running a 1 to 2 magnaflow 10 muffler on it this Friday coming up with a good friend of mine who has a car shop

Changing out the oil pressure sensor fixed the lifter noise for my 08 GXP.
Almost anything that comes with painted calipers from factory is usually pretty fast.
