the trannys are straight garbage on these cars. same with the lifters, both of those issues were resolved once and my tranny i had to rebuild a couple months ago after 50,000ish kilometres. lifters are slowly going out again and when cylinder discactivation goes off it smokes a bit

I had a Bonneville gxp it was a huge waste of money. I had to rebuild the transmission because the right side boot had a seal that was dry and leaking. It was 6500 dollers. I had to head stud the northstar V8 because the head gaskets went out after 78000 miles. That was 7500 dollers. The car was ok at best after that.

My father’s 2000 Dakota 3.9 was the most reliable vehicle I’ve ever saw. 260,000 miles and never any issues. Never. All it needed were tires and brakes, stuff like that. One water pump at 180k. If he were still living he’d still be driving it.

That car strikes me as a vehicle that was originally owned by somebody's grandmother or grandfather and then given to some kid going off to college who I'm sure was thrilled to be getting it. I had the exactly the same car but it was. Officially a unmarked police car with the 351 5.8 L engine. I still don't know how they called it and interceptor. But I will say once you get her rolling (Be a sport use Premium gas) the car starts to haul ass. It will climb up to 100 110 no problem. Its high end engine.. When i got mine it had 97,000 mi. WhenI gave her up because my cousin she had 255,000mi.and ran beautifully, just change the oil at 3,000k come on not the hard of a task. When my cousin give it up it had over 300,000mi. The only major job i did was to replace the transmission at 215,000 mi. I don't know what Penny pinching A Hole decided to stop making them. I believe i saw a A/C belt missing.. Have the exact same car and both my passenger floor wells fill up with water when it rains, its so inconvenient to try and avoid driving in the rain and keeping the cover on it constantly.. theres been a lot of work done to flush n teat the sunroof drain holes, but alas, she still floods:( any tips or ideas where to get tips would be praised

I had the same truck. Mine was a white 2012. I had it until 200k I beat the fuck out of it. Went through my share of wheel bearings and brakes. If you end up replacing the hub assembly buy the ones from the dealer they last way longer. I was buying them from auto parts stores and going through them left and right

Gasoline stoemetric ratio is around 14.7... if it's on a true e85 tune it should be much richer cruise and in enrichment modes... around 30% normally. I'd have your tuner check PE fueling. Quick fun little car bro
