9:06 there is actually an easier way to dodge this attack.
his first two headbumps will aim right for you.
his 3rd headpump will *preaim* your movement, so that means: if you're running to the left, brachy will also aim to the left and slightly infront of you to catch you
that's why on his last headbump, run into one direction, and then in the other direction at the last moment (similiar to safi'jivas homing laser)

should also be noted that the slime is crazy; if you dodge through brachy that slime will actually follow you up to about a 45 degree angle even behind his body.

the third headbump also stops exactly where you were when she started the attack! if you're walking away from her, she'll stop right before hitting you and the slime won't touch you.

I'd really love to see something on Silver Rathalos! Almost all the SnS speedruns of him are in the special arena and they use the arena + crowd control + traps to immobilize him, but that doesn't really help me know what to do when he starts flying. Thanks Zen

I think you can try to use the slinger power shot with the ammo it drops. I did it with GS slinger shot move and made it fall.

@@charleswashington3973 I think what he means is you can use the thorn pods you get from tenderizing to stun it. Also, if you get any slinger ammo that flinches the monster, you can try to do slinger burst > perfect rush while it's in the air. Its tricky but if you get the final hit to land on the head you might be able to dunk it. I think zen tried this in one of the videos with gold rathian but he got unlucky

At the beginning of the hunt, you could get a head tenderize and a Thorn Pod without using Rocksteady or Temporal Mantle by using the claw uppercut; the claw uppercut has super armor on its own to get through the roar though I usually roll through the roar instead.
As long as he's on the ground, and you have Thorn Pods, find an opening to use Slinger Burst on him and chain it with a leaping slash. The leaping slash doesn't have to chain into the PR. Maybe you could get a wallbang before he enrages though you might end up wasting the first topple/KO if you end up proc'ing the KO too early. His other ground attacks are pretty safe to attack if you can stay at his legs. If he goes for a ground stomp, just backhop out of it and counter with a FB/PF. Watch out for the quick jump + fireball to the ground.
When he starts flying and he's enraged, try to stay underneath him as much as possible to bait him into doing the stomp attack. Other than mounting, sniping his head with a claw uppercut to keep it tenderized, or getting more Thorn Pods, there's not much else you can do if he's in the air. After the stomp, he would be doing ground attacks.
If you're fighting Silver Rathalos at the arena or the Coral Region in Guiding Lands, you can use the special wall jump attack while he's in the air for quick mounting.

It's funny watching you do three clutch claw hits then the weapon attack to tenderize. It is like Capcom collectively knew that we were going to grow to dislike this mechanic, however it still raises one question. How hard is Fatalis going to be if the clutch claw is being reworked with the new shaver skill?

You can also flash him with flash pods at the start of the last area and he will continue to fight in his normal form, as long as the flash lasts, delaying his "super-rage-mode". Not sure if there is any benefit to it though.
