    More than 900 but I just got a Paco Castillo 205 and I must say it is a thing of luxury in sound and quality,I've had top of line Saez,Kremona,Cordoba and Yamaha GC32 and GC41 - PC 205 is hands down "much" better than the previous mentioned I owned,

    • @Strelok__762
      @Strelok__762 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Update: I didn't think it was possible to find something better but now I own a Camps M-16. Around same price as PC 205 and I must say I like this Camps even more than the Castillo,Reasons? Slimmer more ergonomic neck and action is noticeably lower than on Castillo,Onto the sound - Camps M-16 has a better even tone,more colorful sound profiles as well,This guitar really comes alive in your hands. If you are looking for a guitar to satisfy you for many years get a Camps M-16 I promise you will not be disappointed,Believe me I have tried every classical guitar in the 300-2000 price range,This is what I have been looking for.

    i have the Paco Castillo 204 in cedar and is by far the greatest guitar in the solid top, laminated back and sides range. tone and cosmetics are beyond gorgeous and has nothing to envy 2k guitars. its surreal how they can make such a guitar at that low a price. and they say it is made in spain not china!

    Thanks for the comparison. Having such skills makes it easier... For me the 201 Paco Castillo sounds great, even better than the more expensive 204... The Camps are not my choice but I think in the end it is simply a very personal thing. And I'm not sure if the brilliance of the 201 gets too penetrant after a while. For that price the 201 delivers a superb sound though.

    I think it might be beneficial to play a few notes or strum on the guitars in quick succession as over long tunes you can't really compare as the sound of the former guitars is forgotten. However the immediacy of a sudden change of sound it far more perceptible.

    Not tried a Camps but Paco Castillo sound as good if not better than guitars three times their price. They are lovely guitars. After trying one I quickly sold my Alhambra. I am told Camps are very good for flamenco guitars. It's great that these Spanish manufacturers are producing such quality instruments at affordable prices. You need an instrument to inspire you if you are going to progress well.

      @@villumstride7502 Not played one yet but I hope to soon. My Paco is a Cedar top. I have already a nice Spruce so if I trade the PC for a Camps it will be a cedar top. Thanks for this very good comparison. I did listen to each guitar (with the links) and compared to your luthier guitar. My "winner" was always the Paco 204 -- I did not look at the name / price, so totally unbiased... The suistain of the luthier guitar is better / longer, but overall I would not choose this specific luthier guitar, but your other one (from 2001) sounds absolutly georgous to my ears.

    .. and of course I prefer the Michele Della Giustina in every comparison - it has a nice balance of warm, sweetness and just "bright enough" attack. Just my luck. The Paco Castillo 203 is a wonderful, slightly more mellow flavor that I like as well. All in all, I would be happy to have any of these fine guitars in my studio. Excellent production and performance (5 stars). Of course, the Giustina was a stand out, but not for the money. For me, the Camps were the best value and sounded great. I'm usually a spruce guy, but the Camps M-1 C and the PC 204 (which appeared to be cedar) were both impressive. Did the guitars all have the same brand/tension strings? I'm guessing probably not. I don't remember whether you mentioned strings or not.
    I'm not sure I've heard Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring in the key of A on the guitar. Nice. Is that your arrangement? Really like the Both Sides Now arrangement.

Even when I took it to get set up and they played it they refused to touch it and said it was perfect the way it was. When I told how much it cost you could knock them over with a feather. Real wood top with composite nut with no plastic anything. You never know.

    It looks like all your Camps guitar were spruce. Your description says guitar #5 was supposed to be a Camp cedar.

      How do you figure? I'm pretty sure the #5 top was indeed cedar, also labeled as M1-C for cedar.

      It's at the very end of the guitar book by Tatiana Stachak called Kytarová první třída (I believe in Slovak and Polish language). Google this and you should be able to find something :)

    The Michele's sounds so vibrant and open, with a lot of resonance and dynamics. I'm impressed by the Camps M-1 C as well. I know they are on different levels, but how do you find the playability of the Camps M-1 C compared to the Michele's?

    • @UrosGuitar
      @UrosGuitar  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Especially in the playability the difference is huge, Michele’s so much easier to play on the neck and also to make phrasing come out naturally. Then the guitar was new, by now it sounds even much better!

    It is good to compare some of these more budget friendly instruments by timbre!
    While an instrument should be experienced by the prospective buyer before purchase, what are your thoughts on the playability, action, fit and finish of these guitars?
    Thank you, and be well.

    hey, I really appreciate all the work you put in to this video! Which one do you think sounds the best? except for the Michele Della Giustina ofc:) and also, how does the camps sp6 compare to the camps m10, the m10 is more expensive, but has laminated back and sides while the sp6 has solid back and sides.

    • @UrosGuitar
      @UrosGuitar  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, thanks! Yeah Della Giustina is just for reference here. I liked all guitars in the test actually, perhaps the most surprising (in a good way) was the Camps M-1 C. But it all depends, in a different batch the result may be totally different. Where did you get the info about M10 using laminate? As far as I know it has solid Ziricote wood. M10 sounds better than sp6 to my ears.
