Hearing and seeing Crowe solo makes me emotional. I don't care what people say, there will never be another like him, and not another one that sounds anything like him. Best banjo player of all time

I had the great privilege of being there that weekend. It was an amazing show, and Josh did an outstanding job, as did all of the rest.

When someone says "Bluegrass Song.," This is the one that most comes to mind. When someone says, "Bluegrass Band," this is the one I think of. Great old song, played by a great band.

So, that Martin was in the Ash Grove in 1965 playing with Scotty Stoneman. Holy cow, that's amazing. What a great bunch of musicians.

These guys are having a good time. Of the old guys Doyle looks the best. Something to be said for clean living.

Most of the original members are aging, and didn't have an easy life on the road. The reigns have to be passed to someone. Josh is a good choice.

I gather this was recorded after Tony seccumbed to Dysphonia as he usually sang lead.
Whatta shame..Hes just there to pick his Santa Cruz guitar.

This was in 2013, many years after Tony lost his singing voice. He's not playing his Santa Cruz here, he is playing "The Antique" as he calls it. It is Clarence White's '35 D-28

Medicine has made great advances in surgery for voice related problems just in the last 6-10 years. It might have fixed Tony. Canadian singer Ian Tyson had a similar sound several years ago as his voice became a "croak" after singing hard with a throat infection. He outright quit singing for the most part then. But later when he heard of the advances in surgery, he had surgery (in Canada, so it was free) with a leading surgeon and his voice was almost back as it used to be. It was amazing. A heart attack has since set him back though, just plain old and wearing out I guess. Of course in USA, unless independently wealthy, the same surgery would be beyond most folks budget I suspect.

Thats Clarence Whites D-35 ,He endorsed Santa Cruz, but only played them for about 5 minutes!
