    Small upgrades that will do a lot for the performance. Lovely work on the body, looks really nice.

      Thank you 😊 Yes I gathered the upgrades will be worthwhile, as I have had some TT01 chassis in the past that lacked steering and suspension tuning. The gear set is also a good upgrade

    It looks awesome! I have been looking at these trucks, they look really cool, just wasn't sure how much of a pain the body was to complete. I may have to talk to the financial advisor (wife) to see about getting one now!

    • @RCACTIONAUSTRALIA
      @RCACTIONAUSTRALIA  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      They are awesome once they are together, time and patience with masking and the end result is amazing. Hopefully you get the ok from the wife. 😎

    You did a great job on that body those colors are the reason I’m m picking one up. What paint did you use to detail the engine components? Tamiya acrylic?

      Not 100% sure but I believe Tamiya made 2-3 other bodies.

    Looks great Adam - I’m trying to keep away from trucks as another avenue to collect (it could lead to tanks, and then I may as well sell my house…!) - but that does look good, as does the buggyra fat fox…
    Would you mind sharing a link to the shocks you used?

    • @RCACTIONAUSTRALIA
      @RCACTIONAUSTRALIA  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah they are 50mm Yeah Racing Shocks, great quality and value, I buy them from eBay
      . They are definitely much better than the Tamiya mini CVA shock set.

    What length shocks did you use?

    • @RCACTIONAUSTRALIA
      @RCACTIONAUSTRALIA  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I think they are the 50mm with the longer ball joint in the bottom. So closer to a 55

    It looks so cool but I just can't accept that TT-01 chassis. I like my vehicles to look scale so what I would do is buy the body but make a custom chassis based on Tamiya's 1/14th scale trucks: ladderframe with solid axles and dual wheels at the rear. I'm already designing it in my head but need a reason to blow even more money on my RC hobby :)

  • @Stiggosaurus
    @Stiggosaurus 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    This looks absolutely stunning! What paint color did you use for the red? Looks super-bright, so I'm wondering if it is the PS-34 Bright Red color. Also, how did you paint those engine components on the outside? Did you spray them with normal polycarbonate paint, but masked everything around it? Or did you brush them on somehow?

    • @RCACTIONAUSTRALIA
      @RCACTIONAUSTRALIA  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      PS2 backed in white, and hand painted the Motor details on 😎👍🏻

    • @Stiggosaurus
      @Stiggosaurus 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@RCACTIONAUSTRALIA Awesome, thanks! What kind of paint did you use for hand painting? Tamiya acrylic paint?

    • @RCACTIONAUSTRALIA
      @RCACTIONAUSTRALIA  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yep Tamiya Acrylic

    • @Stiggosaurus

    You paint well on truck, how many T spur and Pinion gear do you put in truck? I use 55T spur and 25T pinion which fast! 61T/19T is great. 58T/22T is slow.

    How many cm wide is the body?

    • @RCACTIONAUSTRALIA

      I think it’s the regular 190mm Tamiya width

  • @TerraRyzin78

    How the hell did you paint it so percectly?

    • @RCACTIONAUSTRALIA
      @RCACTIONAUSTRALIA  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Mark, Plenty of practice over the years and many poor paint jobs! Time and patience is the key. Take your time masking and apply thin light coats, let them dry in between and start with the darkest colour first.

    You cheated. You painted the motor from the outside. But it turn out nice without the gloss if painted from the inside.
    I am glad you did the work and get to enjoy the view.

    • @RCACTIONAUSTRALIA
      @RCACTIONAUSTRALIA  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah I painted it from the outside, main reason being I wanted a matte finish to add more of a realistic look to the engine parts with some dry brushing technique.
      It’s definitely a nice looking kit 😎
