You videos have helped me , confidence wise, about the capsule experience . I’m doing Tokyo on a budget next year , it’s posts like yours, that calm the nerves a little about these types of situations . Thank you again ✌🏼.
This is the best Tokyo capsule hotel tour ive watched! I wanna stay here!!!. ♡♡♡ That Japanese space toilet! Didnt know Tokyo has a korea town Shin okubo.
Once this crisis is over, I'm going to Japan. I was thinking about the capsules and even tried it a couple times, but not in Japan. Maybe for an overnight, if I'm just having a a couple days stay, but I might just go all out for a proper hotel room.
Capsule Hotels are awesome! I still haven't been to Japan yet, but have experienced a really nice one in Washington DC. There is a really nice one in Cape Town, South Africa that I went to a couple months ago.
Heading to Tokyo in a few weeks and this so far seems cheaper than AirBnB and better than those bunk bed hostels. Looking into both of them and comparing with others at the moment, but I'm loving all the amenities; especially all the showers and toilets! The design looks fantastic, and the views from either one look great; especially the Shinjuku one.
Prices similarly to a hostel but the facilities and amenities are far more making it a better value in my opinion. AirBNB prices have really soared and with cleaning fees some are practically the cost of a hotel.
I loved that hotel! I stayed at the same one in july, great job getting the b role shots, i was exhausted & dont think i got as much for my own video. Lol
I’m getting 2001: A Space Odyssey vibe from this place! From the guide markings on the floor to the instructions printed everywhere to the pods themselves. “Open the pod bay door, HAL!” PS I’ve slept in a morgue before, this is def nicer and probably smells a whole lot nicer😉
Great video Christine. Two questions - can you wear your own PJs or do you have to wear the provided ones? Are the PJs recycled or do you take them with you? Thanks for sharing the experience!
i have stayed this hotel the north sinjuku branch. Basically if the price is under 30 usd per night i think its worth it, however if its over this price then i think you would have some other better options. It is clean and modern, I am quite picky about the toilet and bathroom but this hotel passed, I had no problem poo in toilet of this hotel because its quite spacious and clean. The location is great, its walking distance to shijuku very close to all the restaurants, and its in the korean district so there are loads of korean restaurents they all open till very late, so you wouldnt feel bored! HOWEVER! the bud is extremely wobbly, every time people move or turn, it moves. And the curtain makes huge sounds, also it gets very loud at night depends on the people who stay there. In the morning because you need to check out before ten so I can hear all sorts alarm tones goes off every ten minutes! I feel like I have joined the army and sleep in an open space. If you have no trouble sleeping and can sleep under any condition then this is great for you, but for me, it was not nice to constantly hearing snoring and farts.
Thanks for another cool video. Yet one more thing that's been on my bucket list. I may be a little too tall, but I would still like to try one for a night. The rate is fairly cheap I see. Did you compare the costs with a basic hotel room in the same area? Just curious.
You can toggle the Notifications icon off and on and see if that makes a difference 💕✨BUT I am also uploading weekly videos to Facebook now. Follow me there for more @ grrrltraveler ✨💕
Hi Christine. I'll have to follow you to Japan next. I'm not stalking you! LOL You just go to all the cool places. Visited Nepal and India on your advice. Thanks xo
In Kuala Lumpur,I've checked one capsule hotel but I didn't stayed. Its capsules seem to be imported from Japan and they had been used in some hotel in Japan for a long time.
Thank you for this video. Good info. I look forward to more capsule hotel reviews. I’m thinking of traveling alone and am looking into staying at capsule hotels. I’ll put this one on my list. So if I leave at 10 am and go exploring, I’m able to leave my bag in the locker all day if I’m staying more nights there?
Lol, my name is Christine as well, spelt the same way. And wow. Capsule hotels are something I am quite interested in. Cheaper tbh with good conditions.
Great Video - Like sleeping in the back of a station wagon? Did you sleep well? Were there any snorers there or is everyone young? Ha - no old blokes? Is there a COUPLES POD? Cheers.
The only thing I hate is I can’t be with my things. My anxiety would be so bad worrying about my stuff. I wish there were lockers in the sleeping area!
I watched it all as I was driving but missed the cost, also curious if you could bring a “guest” back with you for a nap or the evening? Is it co ed as well?
Very cool but definitely coffin feel. Some i seen had small tvs with headphones . Or the ones with entrance on the side vs at the foot. I think those might break up the coffin feel a tiny bit. Although have not tried staying in one yet. Definitely a To do list.
I find it fascinating that some might consider this a coffin, when I've been to a mortuary- this is nowhere near coffin sized but much much bigger. lol But I guess if you're very claustrophic type anything with no windows might feel like a coffin, eh?
Thought you were going to run from the toilet!😂😂 We found Korea Town, while we were there (kpop mission. Actually a nice area. We went a street above, and just roamed. Did you try any of the food on a stick? It had cheese- so we didn’t!
Oh and this looked like a "western" style standing shower. When I go to Japan I really want to dive into 😉 the bathing culture. Do any of these capsule hotels have the japanese baths?
Capsule hotel looks cool. Makes me wanna spend a night.
Sameeee
Yay
Thank you for entering the hypersleep pod Christine. You will be woken at the end of our journey to Alpha Centauri in about 500 years.....🚀😆
🤣🤣🤣That’s how it felt!
That space capsule hotel toiiiiiilet is nuts!!!! OMG I want one
Me too. I think theyre toto toilets
And they can air dry your bum😂
Omg! 1:13 G-Dragon’s crooked is being played
Ru K I knew I recognized that song
i peeped it too!!
I love your reaction to the sleeping pods. Pretty cool content. I can't wait for the next video.
It’s coming!!!! ❤️❤️❤️
GRRRLTRAVELER | Christine Kaaloa Yess, will you show more capsule hotels? I saw you stayed at several.
Christine you are sooooo good to make us/me feel like I am there with you! Awesome very impressed. I can now understand why you like capsules.

😄🤭 Christine nice video👍💯💖😍
I can imagine how nostalgic it is to look back at this cool video.
Yay!!! Another Tokyo video. I want to stay at a capsule hotel. Tooootal bucketlist and this place is cray!
I just had a panic attack seeing the size of the sleeping pod. Cool idea but I need more space. Two pillows at least.
You are so funny. Your like a little girl enjoying yourself. You are so happy and bouncy.
Thanks. Booked one for my stay in Kyoto this October!
Yaaaay Christine!! Loving your Tokyo series so far. So jels of your jetsetting lifestyle 😉
Awww, more to come Tim! ❤
You have to be out by 10am! Oh well, I like this capsule hotel the bedroom reminds me of the films Alien and Aliens.
Whoever design this capsule hotel is a real genius and it does sound like a spaceship crusing through the galaxy.
Yep. Undoubtedly cool.
You hear the a/c so in that case kinda yeah 🛸.
@grrrltraveler the sound of the orbit and spaceship mechanical smooth sound is what makes this capsule hotel a spaceship.
That hotel looks super cool and the pod looks cozy
i was hesitant to book at a capsule hotel, but your video is definitely helping me quell some anxiety haha THANK YOU FOR SHARING!
Maybe research the capsule before booking or asking if you can see it first. 😁
love the reaction you had when coming in the pod area ;) great content btw!
Kia ora from New Zealand! I'm new to your channel and love it! So informative. I'm getting the travel bug again.
This is the best Tokyo capsule hotel tour ive watched! I wanna stay here!!!. ♡♡♡ That Japanese space toilet!
Didnt know Tokyo has a korea town Shin okubo.
haha space toilet - I never knew a toilet could glow blue.
These ones so far are my favorite! I’d totally pack a little plug in fan😅 btw I actually just learned about these today from your videos so thank you.
You are just. Amazing. I loved your intro, and you've got me so pumped for Japan. 109 days to go!
woohoo!
I discovered your channel recently and I am hooked! Great content and very thorough input!
I love everything neat and tidy like that. It's so efficient
Love that *Doors open on second floor and BigBang Sober is blasting* 😂😂

Beam me up Scotty! This was a darned cool capsule hotel experience- can't wait to watch more.
More videos are definitely coming if you’re looking to plan your Tokyo itinerary!
Yes more
please
What a modern catacombs in Japanese style! Thanks for showing such a mystery.
These videos are so entertaining to me
Researching a brief trip to Tokyo. This looks amazing
These places look awesome!
Loving the video, defiantly want to travel to Tokyo ❤ are the capsules soundproof?
I want this! I wanna stay at a capsule hotel when I visit Tokyo!
You should do asmr in a capsule hotel 😍
Another great video. Thanks for sharing -- you're always share different types of stays.
I like sharing unique bucketlist accommodations or where else would be the fun of travel? 😁
Capsule Hotels are awesome! I still haven't been to Japan yet, but have experienced a really nice one in Washington DC. There is a really nice one in Cape Town, South Africa that I went to a couple months ago.
I hope you a good nights sleep, thank you for the video.
I wish my sleep could always be longer + Derek. 😂
Love your reaction, you cherish every moment.
you’d be fun to travel with! This one looks cool!
I used to love making tiny dens at home so I'd love this
It looks like a coffin. How was the temperature? It seems like it would get hot in there especially after pulling down the shade at the opening. 😉
It was almost 100 deg F on the streets. Inside was perfect despite the long sleeve pant smocks we were given.😁
@@grrrltraveler that's great to know and thanks for the feedback. 👍🏽😁
Actually they’re usually really spacious like you can sit up and stretch your arms to the side

This is one of the coolest things I've ever seen! Did you set up a tripod and take some shots? I saw a number of great comps as I watched. Very cool!
It’s amazing
I loved that hotel! I stayed at the same one in july, great job getting the b role shots, i was exhausted & dont think i got as much for my own video. Lol
It certainly takes discipline to get those shots. I was exhausted but powered thru. 😉
Loved this video - thanks
1:11 made me hop out of my seat and start bopping. :)
Very beautiful video. Nice place. Great work friends.
Glad you enjoyed +Top Travel Vlog!
Your so cool. Love your videos
I’m getting 2001: A Space Odyssey vibe from this place! From the guide markings on the floor to the instructions printed everywhere to the pods themselves.
“Open the pod bay door, HAL!”
PS I’ve slept in a morgue before, this is def nicer and probably smells a whole lot nicer😉
😂👍Duke. Thankfully no creepy Hal voice!
GRRRLTRAVELER | Christine Kaaloa you thought Hal’s voice was creepy? Damn, I gotta stop doing my Hal impression on first dates!!! 😉
Such a great video!!! 5:09 made me laugh!!!
Great video Christine. Two questions - can you wear your own PJs or do you have to wear the provided ones? Are the PJs recycled or do you take them with you? Thanks for sharing the experience!
Wearing yours- dunno. PJs are recycled- surprisingly one size fits all.
Thanks. Staying at 9H in November and want to be prepared!
Looked very cool, great option for the cost.
Yes. I found it surprising to be so all inclusive for the quality and price.
hii great video i love it , grrrl traveler i love u
Watching this video a second time. I think I'm gonna book a stay here.
This is so cool
I love this 😘😘😗😍😍😍☺🙂
Good video, now i know where to stay in a pinch. 😁
thanks for doing these tours. Did you feel safe?
Nice video!
I stayed in Shin Okubo last I visited Tokyo, but not in Capsule Hotel. Such a convenient base
I would not mind staying in one with you lol hehe.
You’re awesome. Was there temperature adjustments? Was could you bring something like an extra blanket?
No temperature adjustment in this capsule. But you can ask the front if there’s anything they can do.
i have stayed this hotel the north sinjuku branch. The lockers could be accommodated next to Pods maybe, removing shoes at entrance of Pod
I don't know about you guys but I subscribed
Thanks for another cool video. Yet one more thing that's been on my bucket list. I may be a little too tall, but I would still like to try one for a night. The rate is fairly cheap I see. Did you compare the costs with a basic hotel room in the same area? Just curious.
I actually compared it against hostel and AirBnB rates which was closer to my budget. This is cheaper than an AirBnB and many are near the metro.
Nice. Thank you!
Wow, Christine, you sold me even more!
I stayed at the one in Narita. Best sleep of my life.
This is very space aged. That toilet is cool.

This is perfect for people who sleep walk!😀
Hi Christine. I'll have to follow you to Japan next. I'm not stalking you! LOL You just go to all the cool places. Visited Nepal and India on your advice. Thanks xo
Awesome video . I stayed in a capsule in Malaysia
How was your Malay experience and what. City?
In Kuala Lumpur,I've checked one capsule hotel but I didn't stayed. Its capsules seem to be imported from Japan and they had been used in some hotel in Japan for a long time.
interesting they would import them vs just remake them @xx345.
Do you get to keep the free slippers?
I thougt, I would have trouble breathing in that capsule hotel. Thanks for the sharing 👍👍
I thought I might feel the same too, about the concept of staying in one. Wasn’t the case with any 😁
I have to try this, Aragato gosaimasu.
What did you put on your eyes before you went to sleep?
😮🤯I want to live there!
Love your videos and traveling to Japan in June! Are capsules a hostel feel or is it just an interesting hotel? I'm trying to avoid hostels.
It’s a community setting but an individuate and private experience. Travelers generally keep to themselves.
Cheers.
Awesome .
The actual capsule room looked like honey comb omg
Is there really musical noise in the quiet area?
The only thing I hate is I can’t be with my things. My anxiety would be so bad worrying about my stuff. I wish there were lockers in the sleeping area!
Now I really want to sleep in a capsule hotel! BTW is this Japan? Orrrrr...
I watched it all as I was driving but missed the cost, also curious if you could bring a “guest” back with you for a nap or the evening? Is it co ed as well?
Do we have one of these in the US if not we should get one
Very cool but definitely coffin feel. Some i seen had small tvs with headphones . Or the ones with entrance on the side vs at the foot. I think those might break up the coffin feel a tiny bit. Although have not tried staying in one yet. Definitely a To do list.
Yup. This only one capsule - I stayed at 5! More to come 😁
I find it fascinating that some might consider this a coffin, when I've been to a mortuary- this is nowhere near coffin sized but much much bigger. lol But I guess if you're very claustrophic type anything with no windows might feel like a coffin, eh?
capsule coffins... *shivers* but one you can down dog in.😜
I agree with the coffin feel looks more like the things they put dead people in in a morgue
Thought you were going to run from the toilet!😂😂
We found Korea Town, while we were there (kpop mission. Actually a nice area. We went a street above, and just roamed. Did you try any of the food on a stick? It had cheese- so we didn’t!
I didn’t try the cheesy thing- couldn’t figure out what it was! Haha
1:11 who else started singing along to Crooked by G-Dragon?... just me? lol 😂😂
Wow 👌
do you plan to travel to san francisco?is it wort to visit it?thank you
Did you film the other capsule hotels? I would love to see the different styles and amenities.
Oh and this looked like a "western" style standing shower. When I go to Japan I really want to dive into 😉 the bathing culture. Do any of these capsule hotels have the japanese baths?
More videos coming! No bath culture in these capsules that I know of though. ☹️ would’ve been nice if it were like a Korean jjimjilbang.
@@grrrltraveler ok cool, looking forward to the next video!
Second. Would love to see the other capsules you stayed at Christine
Looks like a sleeper ship for interstellar voyage
Super nice😀
do they not have normal hotels there?
That is crazy
