    Sorry to hear the thieves striking again. I’m at the 3rd phase with electrical finishing about to install wall plates. There was an attempt to pull AC wiring outside the building but the caretaker caught them because the solar sensor light lit up. We had electrician start on the top (3rd floor) and pop right afterwards, electrician and crew stayed on site along with pop artisans, windows were already installed which I know doesn’t deter thieves since they’ve cut through other’s burglar proofs in videos I’ve watched. Prices just skyrocketed on wiring components 😢. The building is surrounded by solar lights with sensors. There’s an electric pole in front of the house so we purchased a huge beam light and connected it so the front side is lit.

    Anything an electrical wire theft happens, all I can ask my self is why are some people soo evil.
    Somebody works to save to do wiring and another person will come and steal. But like you said, maybe we should have somebody onsite at all time before we start with the electrical.

    In one TH-cam video (Diary Of A Yummy Mommy), they caught a young man stealing wires from a building site. It was the second time he ripped out the wiring, he was an apprentice to the plumber on site...When they caught him, they beat him up and then arrested him. Unfortunately, this type of thing happens too often...cameras maybe the best option.

      I personally would not start major work on any land in Ghana without having solar powered cameras and outdoor solar lights installed. Alibaba has some with up to 10x zoom capabilities...

      Going forward, yes. It is a very good idea to “secure” your premises before starting.

    How do these thieves know that the house is wired and not connected to the grid? Most of these are inside jobs either by the caretakers or some of the people that work on the plastering or some other work. Most of these artisans have boys that work for them but we have no clue who these people are friends with. Sometimes they’ll tell others who are not at the site what is inside the house or being done. We had people come do parapet on our pillars on the wall around the house but some of the guys wanted to go inside the house. We sacked them and told them their work was outside and not inside and they should therefore stay out

      Insider job more often than not is the answer.

      The people buying from these thieves are also encouraging it and forgot that receiving or buying stolen goods makes you part of the crime

      Of course. It is sad but there is not much we can do on the buying side. That is for the cops to work on. The best we can do is self-govern on our project sites.

    What about seal the windows with burglar proof and doors as well as having human presence.

    • @GhanabaKwaku
      @GhanabaKwaku  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Unfortunately that is not 100% foolproof. My client who got his wires stolen had both.
