718 is the first HF Raido I bought when I got my technician license it’s a great little Raido even without 6meter or fm like you said they shine on ssb! Thanks for all you do for our hobby 🇺🇸
The moment you started this video, I went straight to your website and it wasn’t posted. I came back to your video then straight back to your site and it was sold.
Hey, the icom is still available. It didn't sell, just checked. Add to cart, the click on the actual cart top right or bottom left depending on what you're using to access the site.
Nice thanks, I was thinking it would be a cool video to see how you manage all your wires. I’m struggling to have a clean setup with all the different gauge wires etc. from what I’ve seen most of us struggle with wire management.
@@ChristiannTyler Don't run (operate) (transmit) with an amplifier with a hundred-watt output radio. I learned the hard way, trust me. Even on low power, you'll get some forward swing that will damage both the radio and the amplifier. You could say that I paid $1,300 in tuition of sorts.
The AM backn up is because it's keeping the signal without distortion.....aka avg power swing.
Clean and mean. Clean clear audio.

Would you recommend not using an amp with this radio?
You can, just back the rf power down
