I still love replicas and believe me I helped my teacher who was an amazing mechanic fabrication tech he made a Lamborghini countach back in the 90s he got the design drawings from Lamborghini we even used the original brakes suspension wheels interior fabrication front tubular steel to exact dimensions. We used a corvette engine with Porsche transmission witch allot if people do because of the rear engine space the car won awards all over north America until it got stolen

Awesome project but anytime I see a replica ,I always look at the wheel arches . That’s the main giveaway for me … idk why but none seem to never really say “ factory look “ ..

This is because they are using a different chassis and the wheelbase doesn't line up 100% perfectly. I believe they used a Boxer chassis since its engine layout and wheelbase is as close as you could get. If be interested to know what chassis they use for their builds though to confirm. The mr2 and Pontiac fiero are much shorter/narrower so replicas that use those are dead give aways.

I agree. There are quite a few small angle differences. Such as the angle in the middle of the bonnet. The angles at the back of the engine cover as small but quite a few differences. I think, overall the gaps on the body panels are smaller than the original. And some of the differences in your car look better.
