I can't seem to time my attacks correctly, so how do I know when I've initiated the certain combo sequence such as circle-circle-triangle, three circles-triangle, etc? Is it generally best to go for Storm, then Assault, then Vortex instead of attacking a few times and then triggering Assault or Vortex? I'm assuming the highest DPS is to just chain together one combo after the next instead of trying to repeat one particular high DPS combo because of the set up time of just trying to get one particular combo.
I was reading in a comment on a different video that you could cancel the recovery time after finishing a combo ender with a free warp/warp strike (they weren't specific). Is that the case? They were specifically mentioning Armiger Vortex being able to be canceled as Noctis was posing with the Sword of the Father and Engine Blade.
As far as I could tell, a warp strike doesn't really cancel much of it. I'll try it when I get back home, but I don't really see the point in cancelling the recovery when you got I-frames during it anyway.
All these are great and all but....do you need them ? I mean thats my main gripe with FFXV combat. It's not like that you get an amazing dmg boost with the combos, the on the fly weapon switching etc. They are flashy some of them quite hard to pull off but you can breeze through the game without doing them. tsibosp Do you need them? No. Do they help with damage of general effectiveness? Well, it depends. Is the benefit big enough to matter? No. One of the biggest problems with FFXV is the complete lack of balance in combat mechanics and encounters. For maximun effectiveness just equip Ragnarok and hold down the warp button until you get the Ring. Then equip that and do the exact same thing. Why even care about the combat at that point? The only context in which the combat system is even relevant is when you either don't understand how easy it is to break or choose not to break it. I'm well aware of that. I mostly play on level 1, or level 120 only in the last menace dungeon. I never use items, spells, party techniques, exosuits, Ragnarok, Ring... There's a reason why I haven't made a single video about elemancy or party techniques. I don't use them. I don't like them. I carefully tailor my equipment and restrictions in a way to balance out every encounter to make them a challenge. FFXV greatest failure is its lack of balance that completely takes away all the depth from the combat system, but its greatest success is the sheer quantity of options it provides to allow me to give it back that depth. Within the right context, movesets do matter, swap combos do matter, builds do matter, dodging does matter, the combat system matters. Mind you, this does not excuse the complete lack of balancing on the game's department. I'm not saying this makes up for it or that it is acceptable, it's not. Making the combat system matter is the developer's job, not mine, and the fact that I have to not use a large portion of the game's systems to not break it, means there's still much less depth than there could be. Just that since I have the option to make combat more fun for myself, I do just that. I payed 60$ for this game after all. So, to answer the last question. No, I don't use them for the sake of using them. I don't use them because why not. I use them because the way I play makes them effective.
The combat is more shallow than god of war ffs. Not shitting on you but I honestly don't understand why anyone would even feel the need to watch tutorials for such basic stuff. People make tutorials on painfully obvious things like when to switch characters and things like that. Like, dude do you really need someone to teach you how to fucking think while playing ? I don't know if the devs thought that proper, combo-friendly, hack n slash combat would blow up the heads of their mostly turn based accustomed fanbase or what, but they wasted a lot of potential with their restrictive gameplay choices and an abomination of a combat system. The story and setting are very mediocre as it is. hmm
Now i want the royal edition but i just reached level 120 and 118 the rest and got ALL legendary and rare weapons (balmung, zwill etc) even the sniper except the machineries So what i want to know is there any data transfer from norm to royal?
the royal edition is basically just the main game on disc plus download code for royal pack and season pass. so all the dlc stuff just gets added to your current game saves after download. (I had the normal version and recently bought the royal edition so I know that for sure)
Don't get your hopes down because of the fact that the Royal Edition only adds more enemies that are from Lvl 30-58 plus a larger map for Insomnia. There's a new superboss you should fight, and its name is Omega. Here are it's stats: Lvl: 119 HP: 555,300 Defense: 6,060 Spirit: 7,170 Swords: +99% Greatswords: +99% Daggers: +99% Guns: +99% Shields: +99% Machinery: +99% Fire: +99% Ice: +99% Lightning: +99% Light: Absorb Your best bet is to used the royal arms while its in its base form. When it goes berserk, use the normal weapons. Try not to use your armiger or your armiger unleashed at that mode as it is invulnerable during its berserker form. There's also a phase where its head will pop off. You can attack the head and also perform a link strike if all the party members are up. When you successfully perform it, the final attack can perform 99,999 damage in total, so make sure you go for the head. Anyway, those are my strategies. Good luck!
Hi should i finish the game 1st before i can get the AU..i already get 13 royal Arms but the statue of founder kings are not there? Anyone can explane?
you need to have the royal pack/edition or the windows version for armiger unleased. the statue is there but you can't get the sigil until you get all royal arms.
I already try this combo, is very hard to do that, i always fail do that combo,, i think this combo like a dinasty warriors series.. Butt actually nooooo -_- is very hard to me ,, that circle is annoying make me always failed XD
If you have the base game already, you can buy the Royal Pack with just 20$. It's still a bit steep for the amount of content in it, but if you're not hurting for money, I'd say it's still worth it.

Now i want the royal edition but i just reached level 120 and 118 the rest and got ALL legendary and rare weapons (balmung, zwill etc) even the sniper except the machineries
So what i want to know is there any data transfer from norm to royal?
the royal edition is basically just the main game on disc plus download code for royal pack and season pass. so all the dlc stuff just gets added to your current game saves after download. (I had the normal version and recently bought the royal edition so I know that for sure)
Zimtfuchs thanks a lot
Don't get your hopes down because of the fact that the Royal Edition only adds more enemies that are from Lvl 30-58 plus a larger map for Insomnia. There's a new superboss you should fight, and its name is Omega. Here are it's stats:
Lvl: 119
HP: 555,300
Defense: 6,060
Spirit: 7,170
Swords: +99%
Greatswords: +99%
Daggers: +99%
Guns: +99%
Shields: +99%
Machinery: +99%
Fire: +99%
Ice: +99%
Lightning: +99%
Light: Absorb
Your best bet is to used the royal arms while its in its base form.
4 years old, but yes only after you completed the story can you find it. Edit: in royal / windows edition it's there, otherwise you can get it as dlc
How do I get the ring tho
Caedmon Hollows Thanks bro
Just a quick question
Do I need all the Royal Weapons to reveal the statue in order to obtain the armiger unleashed?
you need to have the royal pack/edition or the windows version for armiger unleased. the statue is there but you can't get the sigil until you get all royal arms.
good stuff
How do I use that turtorial?
You can access it by selecting "tutorial" from the menu when playing on a save file that has Founder King's Sigil.
@@asetoniffxv22 Ohh, thnx man👍
I already try this combo, is very hard to do that, i always fail do that combo,, i think this combo like a dinasty warriors series.. Butt actually nooooo -_- is very hard to me ,, that circle is annoying make me always failed XD
Excuse my stupidity please but do you have to have the royal edition to have the armiger unleashed ?
Yea, you will need the Royal Edition/Royal Pack to get it.
You Need a Play FINAL FANTASY XV ROYAL EDITION to get an ARMIGER UNLEASHED..!!
Is it only in the royal pack?
Yes
At 3:06 why does your Armiger last so long??? 🤔🤔🤔
Armiget Unleashed has a much longer duration than the base Armiger.
Asetoni FFXV oh really??? 🤔 Awesome!!! 😃Thanks for the info, i just fell in love with this game even more!!! 😁
Is the $50 Royal update worth it? I’m up to chapter 6 in the game and I’m way above al the enemies in level.
If you have the base game already, you can buy the Royal Pack with just 20$. It's still a bit steep for the amount of content in it, but if you're not hurting for money, I'd say it's still worth it.
absolutely!!! i can't even imagine how short and rushed chapter 14 without the royal pack must have been. the extra bosses and cutscenes are necessary
i gotta ask.. is there any way to nerf this thing? ill take a pc mod if one is available.
I understand you. Enemies die too fast. I have to nerf myself with food that reduces your strength to zero while buffing your magic.
@@КонстантинПаршуков-о6б ill take it!!!
Do you need all the dlc to get this?
Royal Pack
Hello! One thing I’ve noticed about this attack system is that it’s ungodly op to the point where it’s not even a challenge to fight end game bosses. For instance I killed zu in seconds. If I were to do a level 1 run would I still kill zu in seconds? Is there any way to nerf this thing? Thanks in advance.
Is there a reason the armiger is lasting so long?!?!!
the armiger bar last longger if you use armiger unleased instead of the regular armiger
If you have all the upgrades for the armiger, the Armiger Unleashed can last for over 3 minutes.
@@incerno159 but the question is, how do we upgrade It?
@@Roksana-gy1ek he means the royal arms
This should be called Bootleg VERSUS Mode.
No
to bad there isnt an accessory that makes you not have limit break.
@@plane3251 just cuz this weapon is so op. fights end so fast. i like good proper fights.
@@plane3251 thats awesome. what build do you have?
@@plane3251 unless thats to big of a question
@@plane3251side note. thats one thing i low key like about this game is its so rediculously broken it gets fun to rediculously break sometimes.
@@plane3251 that makes sense
Nice
I find it so, so unbelievable that after having spent hundreds of hours on the game I had no idea about these things - and that most of the time they didn't work. So, so, much incredible artwork and graphics gone to waste due to this horrible combat system and story : < Imagine if this game was just at least 'standard' when it comes to combat (imagine if it was just Devil may cry style like) or story -a simple story, told simply.
