- How to Change Language on Pioneer Carrozzeria Avic mrz07, mrz05,mrz09
Requirements:
1. SD Card
2. .LNG file - To be downloaded
Note: Please backup your files before starting the Process.
Steps:
1. Create 2 folders on your SD card. Name folder 1 as 'BackupFile' and Folder2 'LanguageFile'
2. Copy the language file to folder LanguageFile

Thanks Ben for the awesome video. I deleted PF090JPJP.LNG and PF110JPJP.LNG from the LANGDATA folder and copied the 'new' PF110JPJP.LNG. It didn't work but then I remembered I had set the language to "English" in the User Settings menu. After changing it back to "Japanese" the fix has worked.
I'm trying to do this too but can't find the place in the user setting menu to change the language. Can you tell me how to find it?

@@markedwards1620 user is a folder sir not a file. Make sure you chose file manager item 11. Make sure your system is of the mentioned mrz series too.

You say delete the file and replace it with a file of the same name but the file you say to delete in your video and in the manual has a different name to the new language file in your download. Do we delete PF090JPJPN or should we delete PF110JPJPN as that is the name of the replacement file? Apologies if I'm missing something.
None of my audio and system settings are appearing, It's just blank. along with the name " Audio settings" "System settings" and the regular settings but overall great video it helped me

Hi Eddie, how did you access the menu on your AVIC-MRZ099, if like mine, it doesn't have the left and right keys (which are required to touch 6 times as you hold the navi button)?

@@mosesgakubu3540 Exactly, l learnt that they are entirely different and not common enough for people to have recoded them. So we are stuck with Japanese.

Hi Ben, when go to paste the backup file in SD, there are no sub folders listed even though I created them and inserted the card. I did this on a Mac, not sure if that makes a difference.
@Benjazz I applied same procedure on both PRG0 and PRG1, but nothing changed.

Hie Ben thank you so much, my MRZ66 is now in English. But I would want to add something to help others. If you have downloaded the language file PF110JPJPN.LNG ,just rename it to PF090JPJPN.LNG first before inserting into the radio. You are done.
Hey there! Can I ask why this worked for you? I noticed my files are also in PF090- but I have followed these steps on my MRZ77 and it still hasn’t changed the language only deleted the Japanese from the radio. Really don’t want to mess it up 😬

I did it , but not transferred to English. My language file is showing in 'R' mode. But this video shows that ' AR' form/type. Is that the cause?
I have the AVIC MRZ07, I tried just replacing the PF110JPJPN.LNG file by deleting and then copying in the new one but that didn't work. I also tried deleting the PF090JPJPN.LNG file as well, that also didn't help. By replacing these files, when rebooting the head unit, it just removed the text from the buttons on the display - no English or Japanese characters would display.
I took backups of both files before deleting, so was able to restore them fine and put the head unit back to how it was. I've ended up just using google translate to pair my phone via bluetooth and change the graphic equaliser sound settings. I'm not sure if the reason it isn't working for some of us is to do with the firmware version in the headunit - mine is 2.# something.

For me, i had to rename Ben's file from PF110JPJPN.LNG to PF090JPJPN.LNG then delete PF090JPJPN.LNG and replace it with Ben's [renamed] file.
This solves the name mismatch that some people here in the comments mentioned.

Yeah, so I deleted the PF110JPJPN.LNG and replaced it with Ben's file of the same name and it worked!

Am not sure if you copied it right. Before you copy make sure you click on select option first then navigate to copy.
