The area with the low window height around 15:39 would the home owner like a modern water fountain as you could see from inside and listen to the water from the seating area . You can get some lovely round shapes made of stone .

So I have officially bought and tried the Power Planter and my oh my Laura do you make that sucker look easy! We have a bit more rocky soil here in MA zone 5 but still it looks like you don’t even break a sweat and holy smokes is that tool a game changer in efficiency. My family has a landscape design/build firm and we were able to plant 40+ large shrubs in just over 6 hours! I’m also 5 months pregnant with my first and can I say you also made gardening in the heat while pregnant look easy too! Wishing you years of continued success, thank you for sharing your space with your YT family!

I can relate to your comment about the auger. I, too, purchased a power planter auger and gave it a whorl. I ran into lots of tree roots in my WI zone 4 soil. It takes a bit of finesse to use the drill/auger but it definitely is a time saver. Good luck with the new baby. Being a mother is the hardest but sweetest job I've ever held.

Hello Laura and Aaron! My husband and I built our retirement home a few years ago and have a 3rd summer garden in place so the gardening is intensive. Though still in our 50's I wanted to plan ahead for our senior years and have only planted things that are not pruned or are pruned 1 -2 times a season due to thinking of the long term maintenance requirements. Also doing my best to use ground cover to reduce need for mulch over time. I would love if you would take the time to make some videos (maybe for your slow winter season ) that suggest plants with lower maintenance or at least explain the amount of maintenance expected for certain popular plants. Though still an active gardener, the amount of physical labor I could expend at 30 vs. mid 50's is significant yet I want to garden. Thank you again for all you do. My 1/3 acre lot is so much more amazing than it would have been without your influence! If you ever open your garden for a tour, I am flying to Oregon!

Jesus Christ is the son of God who died and rose three days later and loves all of you. He died for everyone and wants you with Him, to know Him and live for His glory. Come be saved eternally and spend time with Him to know Him. Be saved, free, forgiven, healed, delivered, baptized, whole and let Him show you how He is everything you need.
🕊️💕Live righteous and Holy because He said to and paid for our way to live like Him. Ask anything in His name and the Father will do it amen hallelujah praise God thank you Jesus . 🙏
I lift up everyone's prayers, wants and needs to You Jesus, please pour out blessings. May Your favor, grace and mercy be upon the world. In Jesus name come help us all. You know our needs and everything else about each of us. In Jesus name amen thank you Jesus praise God 🙏
Jesus, Help people to be rooted and grounded in Your love and to obey Your truth. That they are living in the truth being taught by You. That they know Your voice and word. Knowing truth from errors, discernment. 💕
We are ambassadors of Christ. We represent God, when we are seen Jesus should be seen, His ways not ours. We should be living for and showing God, living for His glory. We are to be an example of Jesus for the world to see Him and want to know Him and know Him more. 🙏 🔥
2 Chronicles 7:14 says, if My people humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways I will hear them from heaven and heal their land. 🙏 💖
People need to turn from their wicked ways, Jesus paid for it. That's God stating it in that verse and there are more verses. People need to repent, to be cleansed by His blood and live Holy because He's Holy and righteous because He's righteous. Our God said to stop sinning in many many scriptures and He paid for everyone to be cleansed of sin (Isaiah 53), and to live how He said. He dwells in the Holy temple (your body) and said not to defile the temple. He said to defile the temple is death. He's always serious about everything He said to do. He's just as serious about what He said not to do. We live in obedience to His law, every word if it! He dwells within us all to be with and lead us in His ways. 💕🙏🔥 🕊️
Deuteronomy 28 there are blessings for obedience and curses for disobedience. The whole chapter, and verse 46 is one example of generational curses. These go into the following generations, the 3 and 4th. Our children pay the price for our sin. Stop sinning you are sending consequences to yourself and to your loved ones, children. By God's law you are. If you don't believe me ask Him, in Jesus name may you see and know the truth in it's fullness.
Love your neighbor as you love yourself.
Jesus is worthy of everything He said and paid for, so I implore you to do as God said.
Jesus said If you love me you will obey my commands. Love Him with all your heart, mind, soul and strength.💖🔥🕊️ 🙏
    Praise God 🙏💖
    Hallelujah Jesus 🕊️🔥
In Jesus mighty name 🙏🔥🕊️ 💖

Button bush is native in North Texas which has high alkaline soils like you deal with. We also have very high temperatures all summer. This plant grows naturally along creek bottoms and I’ve even seen it growing out of limestone out cropping. It’s a tough as an old boot! I would think it would be a terrific plant for your region given enough water.

The buttonbush (cephalanthus) is also native to the hot arid to semi-arid Central Valley in California which have similar temps to you in Eastern Oregon. So they can take the heat as long as they have water. They’re mostly found near streams, lakes, and marshes in California as well.

I love how she's listing all the plants in the truck and slips in "a cheddar" like he's one of the plants. Then realizes and says cheddar more shocked he was in there 😆 lol

It would've been funny if he stayed in the truck bed until she got to her friend's house!!😂

Good morning! Here in my 7b zone I finally got a chance to weed my front garden early this morning and to plant my last supertunias . I love to listen to one of your maintenance videos while I work. 😊 My favorite is when you and your Mom tried to back the truck up..still makes me laugh while I work and it makes weeding time fly 😊. Thanks for the company!

Watching you aug that hole with so much ease gave me a pang in my heart. I just finished digging three holes in completely rocky soil, took me about a half hour just for that! How would you deal with intensely rocky soil?

Are butterfliy bushes invasive in your area?

    • @laraemitchell9064
      @laraemitchell9064 2 ปีที่แล้ว

Laura has talked about this before. They are invasive on the other side of Oregon from her, but not on her side of the state. They are “outlawed” in Oregon except for sterile varieties.

@@babynieve9612 she is in eastern Oregon. Right on the Idaho border. (Ontario Oregon). I grew up 12 miles from there.

The ones she plants are sterile so not invasive.
