This new'ish trend of expecting rookies to come in a start at the hardest position in all of sports is absurd. Whatever happened to being on the bench for a year or two while you learn the complexities of NFL football?
A few QB's have stormed out of the gate, including this year & last year, & the league thinks it's a trend. Peyton Manning would've been labeled a bust in this era after his rookie season. A lot teams are ruining prospects by throwing them to the wolves...
Part of it is the huge hype plus NIL in college. The rookies already make so much money and have huge marketing crews that promote them, so people's expectations are raised by that I think
@@chizorama when more than a couple guys do it, it is a trend. Like it or not, the days of QB development went out the window the moment they started getting the NIL deals and conference realignment, and I’m not sure that we’ll ever go back

Yeah that’ll definitely help your 1st overall pick when the receivers are just giving up in the middle of the play. You can say what you want about Williams but thats ridiculous and immature for Moore to just quit like that.

When the Bears got Caleb Williams, many fans started saying that they were an instant Superbowl contender. I’m like, “Not with Eberflus as the coach.” If the Bears get a decent coach, I could maybe see it. But for now, the Bears are still in the basement.
Those bears fans were delusional, I’m a bears fan and I thought playoffs maybe, but with how the teams playing currently and how the rest of the season schedule is? Yeah no
@@1turtle1 What's crazy to me is a lot of analysts were calling them contenders before the season too, which baffled me. I definitely thought they would be a solid team but that's a crazy leap to make.
@@Sir_Robin_of_Camelot I think it’s because people thought that players like Keenan Allen and Deandre Swift would make a huge impact, Swifts been playing decent but Keenan’s besides the jags game has been invisible
Poor coaching. That's where your coach needs to bench his ass and the GM/owner needs to pull his contract up to his face and show the line that says the player has to play to a full, reasonable effort during games. This is a job. Do it or don't get paid. Players run the league... same with the NBA and it's to the detriment of the game and the team.
You say the biggest issue has been the o-line. While they aren’t helping Eberflus is actively harming the bears and he seems he has completely lost the respect of the players
As did the city... and the rest of the players in the league. The same owners who didnt want to pay for a better head coach or OC didnt want to pay the QB (and trade 1st overall for a historical haul) and tricked the fans into supporting such a terrible decision. Now everyone suffers except them and thier pockets. By the time Caleb begins to really shine, he will want tf out and our window will have closed again
Without watching the video, I can explain what happened with Moore. Obviously he thought the QB was going to just run out of bounds, and Moore's momentum kind of took him out of bounds (you can see how his RIGHT foot kind of hooks back in front of his left foot at the last second..... a half-assed effort to try and stay in bounds, but also realizing he already stepped out and it's too late). It's at this moment that Moore makes an ass of himself, THIS is where he fakes and injury and hobbles LOL! Notice he wasn't limping or anything until the moment he realized the play was still alive. FAKING an injury so he won't get yelled at... pathetic. He gave up on the play and gave up on his teammates on that play.
The Bears have been my favorite team for 25 years. I started watching when i was 3 years old. I hope they lose to the Patriots this week. I hope Matt Eberflus never wins another game.
Not a good look from Moore, but I think he actually thought Caleb was gonna go out of bounds. Glad you pointed out that he can't be the first to touch the ball after going out of bounds BUT, yea, he could still help block a guy.
Caleb is going to need 1 year or more to assimilate to the NFL game and play on time and structure. Caleb excels at off schedule but the NFL is all about structure and on time passing game with today's defenses. He is small in stature 6'1" maybe ?? because no one knows since he refused to be transparent which makes it hard for anyone under 6'2" to see over the O&D lineman, so he needs to be great at on time pass/structure "He is not - yet". Looks like he is headed for his second coaching staff in 2 years is not helping that transition.
No delay, I live near it, it was nothing, very quick small isolated thing, it ended before the roof was half closed. It surprised the National Weather Service though. Thats a beefy natural grass field, it wouldnt have hurt much. To my recollection thats the first precip during a home game there.
Caleb may have great skills, but grown men aren't following a guy who paints his nails. He's not a leader. No WR would quit on a QB he actually respected.
I took a risk in selecting Moore for my team, knowing full well they drafted a rookie to QB the team. 100% regret it. With the exception of Swift, their offense has been abysmal.
He had no problem signing a massive deal. He had a horrible QB last year too - he just happened to throw to Moore the whole time (he wore blinders). He needs to grow the F up and act like a man
I get the oline is bad and all but their jobs are made tougher when the QB has all these weapons but chooses to hang onto the ball and run out of the pocket instantly. They're also probably winded as fuck every down running back and forth laterally. Caleb can't make a pro-level read quite yet -- these teams draft these players and throw them in right away instead of letting them sit and learn the game for a year or two.
Moore was #1 for keeping feilds, feilds new how to get him the ball, he hasn't looked right with caleb all year, ..we shuda kept feilds with this offense, Hella weapons, still no o-line, feilds new how to play with no o line..lol
Good joke and all, but Randy "Who the hell is that?" Duncan was drafted first overall way back in '59. The Packers got 1 TD, 3 INT's, and 361 yards out of him during his NFL career.
Moore just walked to the bench? Omfg I'm gonna crash out now 😭🙏
