As you mentioned in video I had good skills in Java but they assigned me IT infrastructure project.. but it’s okay now I got on-site opportunity with only 2.5 years of experience.. Being as a part of TCS since last 5years I will suggest it is not good for freshers who have interest in learning technologies. Bcoz TCS is a company who is good in killing your skills nd they will set new goals for you according to their interest. Onsite is very easy in TCS but for that you should be lucky one. Not every single one can get this opportunity. It is fully job secured company, nobody will ask you to leave but since last few months company made so much changes in their policies which will force you to leave the company. This is more good for those who has experience more than 10+ years specially. There are so many other drawback in company now. Btw there is no free cab nd no free food policy in company so this point is wrong.
My personal opinion would be that in huge company like tcs fresher's are treated as garbage thrown at places without their opinion or will it has a lot of internal politics where a lot of senior people are there just to Pat their ego and use other back to climb with zero concern for other growth heck they even lack basic decency .so do yourself a immense favor and join some startup and learn things to move to a better company
Startups are good option but they don't hire so massively. Also my view is if a individual is smart and know the tips and tricks of the trade,he/she can surely grow immensely anywhere.
Left tcs after 3.5 years . Company has more support level projects than language based projects which can be tolerable for short term but worst part is it's pathetic RMG and HRs low capability and biased behaviour towards resources which deters the growth of Skillful people in company.

A big big No from my side. I am an employee of TCS fr 9 months. Join after having an experience of more than 5-6 years only. Students who want to prepare for competitive exams and can not afford drop may join TCS as you will get an ample of time here.

I am ex TCS er and have 3 years experience, Since lockdown we work every single day 15-16 Hours and it was not work from home given we have to work from office in Covid situation, not any vehicle provide from company, Management force me to leave company in this situation. And most important if anyone from RMG who things to join client location please do not join. It's up to you guys it was my experience in TCS.
I joined TCS as a fresher and what I feel is that , it is a good company to start your carrier with. The type of work is totally dependent upon the Project what you get. On-site Opportunities is more in Bangalore and Chennai Location as compared to other. Yes salary is not too much high as compare to startups , but you are getting job security in TCS which is more important in the today's world.
+Career Swami Project is good and there is a lot of scope to learn new things. TCS also provides a lot of courses to learn free of cost. As day to day company is moving towards automation, so I basically indulge in automation, optimization and enhancement of products. And you really done a good job by making this vedio. As it covers some genuine points..
I am an ex-TCSer and I think this is one of the most impartial reviews of TCS made by someone. I would just like to add that apart from the Ninja and Digital hirings, TCS also recruits from Tier-1 colleges (TCS's list of Tier-1 college is a bit different and it is entirely done by TCS itself) for its Research and Innovation department and offers an alluring package of almost 8 LPA.
In short I will categorize the people and answer. My answer would be pretty much the same if you are looking to work for any IT firm in India. It will specially be aimed towards guiding freshers. Also I am assuming that no matter what you have to join a company right now. 1. Those who are seriously preparing for GATE/CAT/UPSC etc as first priority, you may join a company if you really have to but dont fall into the heavy work trap. If you are smart dont express that, work only your part dont try to show your skills, dont come into the notice of other people as a hardworking or efficient employee because instead of letting you leave early (for you to prepare for your main goals) they will grill you more in office and overburden you with work. Hence work smart. (example: Even if you can get a job done in say 5hrs but you have been given the whole day then take your whole day and leave office on time). Be clear that you will not stay beyond working hours in the company. If you go at 9am leave at 6pm. Dont stretch or atleast show your discomfort incase you have to so that they dont take you for granted. Dont be swayed from your main aim by seeing the perks your colleagues are getting for doing extra work. Be smart. Also assume that if you go this way for long you will most probably not be getting the company opportunities like Onsite etc. One plus point about TCS is that it is one of THE companies you would like to join to atleast carry on with your preparation compared to any other company in India. 2. Those who are having competitve exams as second priority: See what exams you are preparing for and if they are really tough exams I would rather suggest you to either make your exam your first priority and follow part 1 above or its okay if you work hard in your company for a couple of years you will get to know what you really want to do. You can not in general do very good in both ways. you have 24hours a day and your future will be decided based on where you put your time into. One tip : Dont lose out on both ways trying to do good both ways. 3. Those who are looking for job opportunities : Look for job openings elsewhere where they are paying you more or atleast you get to work in good development projects. At the end if you dont find one join the best offer you have got but keep giving interviews or atleast trying to get an interview call. If you already have experience try to switch. 4. For whom TCS is a dream company : Join it and its pleasant to work in TCS. Much better than most other IT companies. 5. Those who want to make a career path to tech giant companies like Google/Amazon/Microsoft/Apple: Incase you want to join TCS and then thinking for this path this one is for you. You can join TCS, its not going to disqualify you from being a future Googler but it isn't going to help you in technical aspects either. You will come to know what I mean by the end. If you aspire to become a future Googler as a developer do what it takes to be that. You need to work on your programming a lot, core computer science concepts, do commendable projects, contribute to opensource. All this beside your daily office work. You should also try to switch to better companies which provide better technical work. You need to make yourself technically good. TCS definitely does not help you in technical skills but yes you will learn a lot of soft skills, how to behave and how to respect time. It will also provide you the industry experience to get started with. But at the end whether you get though the Google interview or atleast get a call for the interview totally depends upon what skills you can aquire yourself. But if you have no where else to go join TCS, work hard the right way you might end up sorting your life the way you wanted (or near to that). (In case I've missed out on any category of person please comment, I shall be happy to answer) -EX TCS-er

Are they focussing their questions on Data structures algorithms dynamic programming or are they more focussed towards other aspects like Object oriented programming. You must find out what they are exactly looking for in their test. In general most companies have questions that test your skills in data structures & Algorithms. How well you are able to apply them to the problem to reduce time & space complexity and write efficient programs. So if you are unsure of what they might ask then I will recommend you to be strong at ANY ONE popular language(like Java,C++,python etc) and solve as many problems on DS algorithms. you can get started with HACKERRANK.COM
If you want to join tcs so I would suggest to reconsider ... From day one you would realise there are problems in this organisation and you might start hating your job.... Alot of micromanagement and office politics might go behind your back which you might not be aware off. Bad for laterals as well as a fresher unless you can compromise your growth in career to work-life balance.
It's not worthy to join in TCS neither as a fresher nor as an experienced candidate. No growth in your knowledge,wealth because there is no proper training in technologies and no proper projects.
You still have a choice between Support and Development. Let them know this choice and take the best available project. You may reject projects if you dont find it interesting....it is not a crime.

TCS is amazing sector... Never leave TCS unless u visit onsite once....keep looking for onsite... Everyone does job for growth...so keep ur goals frst... U presence / absence doesn't make much difference for company ,so just keep utilizing all the opportunity that's comes way!! There are some accounts obviously everywhere where politics and shit occurs and growth gets suppressed... It's the higher management at account level responsible for good/bad...
Brother I had two joining letter from tcs and wipro ..I couldn't know which company will be a best suit for my career because wipro had 5 years bond and they will sponsor to study Mtech but I'm tcs I couldn't know whether they will sponsor for a fresher who needs to do MCA as distance education 🤔 please give some clarification and suggestions bro
When you say that RMG does not care about your aspirations, it is incorrect. TCS has several programs where in one can mention their aspirations and TCS through numerous number of trainings will help in skill development. But under normal circumstances a person in RMG thinks that they should be able to handle a certain role without any exposure. That is not how it works. Moreover the employees themselves are responsible for the treatment they receive from RMG. I personally know a lot of people who are in RMG for a long time and doesn't wish to be deputed in any project. Tell me how do you handle such people.

Please consider the fact that such movements may not be possible in other organizations. At least TCS gives you that option.. now how to use to the best has to be planned by you.. after all its your career not somebody from RMG's.

Rater than terms try anyone language and learn everything about it.. But it's up to the hr if he asks u term it will be easier for u.. But in most of the cases they will ask you to write basic programs as well
Hardly few people gets the desired technology in which one is interested rest all is just time pass after which one will be frustrated jst like me..one more thing they will not fire but time will come when one will become frustrated and demotivated due to which one will automatically resign..also depends on one's luck if you get good project

I am selected for offsite job in 3rd party payroll. Designation: Helpdesk Analyst. Project: Domestic I have 1.5 years of accounts experience in a company. I have 1.5 years of experience in second company with only data entries. I will complete 30 in November, 2021. TCS offsite with 3rd party payroll offering 20k CTC per month. Should I join?? Do you think that there is growth for my future??
Being with TCS for more than 6 yrs and In IT 11+ yrs, would like to share my insight, like many have already highlighted it's a good company for stability and basic hikes. For one who is ambitions and not afraid to take risk I will not suggest TCS unless you get onsite if you desire. Pls do expect company will value your technical intrest, you will be just allocated by RMG with there half knowledge. Decent with onsite opportunity.
Pathetic work life balance I Am myself being TCS employ is writing this review on it. It has 10 working hours in which you have 1 hour lunch break. I would or have to work 12 hours even after being efficient at work. Pathetic company no work life balance. I would recommend you to work on startups as there you gain more knowledge. And TCS pays least among its competitors to its employees and treats them as slaves.

Also if you leave TCS you are blackballed for 10 years which is vengeful and expected from a company that supports KKK tactics. Been with them for going on two years and they at least know better then to commit decrimination. I joined tata dokomo 7 years back and quit job after 2 month as I was not comfortable without doing proper paper works...that time I got some legal notice...later no problems... Now if I try for TCS will it be a problem????
Never join in TCS, I'm a TCSer... It's 2 years waste of time for freshers. I dont know for experienced but, i never suggest TCS. I guess almost all MNC's would be like this. Never choose MNC's , even the work is more in start ups and medium company.. They r more far better than these very worst companies. No work and less salary. For freshers 22k only per month. No hikes. Just try to select for exam to get experience of NQT. Never ever join TCS. 👍

TCS does hire contractors based on performance. Speak with the people whom the company placed in TCS as contract to hire and understand their experience.
Probability is good but please check the consultant company's performance. Talk to some people placed by them. Also, speak with hiring manager from TCS and ask this question, you will be able to make an informed decission. Best of Luck!

I would suggest please don't join tcs. You will go through various kind of intimidation and racist approaches and nothing will be done to solve them instead you will be troubled. There are managers and supervisor full of insecurities and it will be your constant job to work to satisfy their insecurities. Absolutely toxic. Please do not join tcs..I am working towards leaving this organization as soon as possible. I have 8+ years of experience with TCS in different projects and it is the same everywhere.

@@akhiljaiswal9468 For Onsite opportunities, there's no clear way to figure out how many people were sent onsite as their are many countries. If we go by H1b applications, TCS was the biggest sponsor in 2018 but Infosys wasn't far behind as well.

I am ex TCS er and have 3 years experience, Since lockdown we work every single day 15-16 Hours and it was not work from home given we have to work from office in Covid situation, not any vehicle provide from company, Management force me to leave company in this situation.
And most important if anyone from RMG who things to join client location please do not join. It's up to you guys it was my experience in TCS.
I joined TCS as a fresher and what I feel is that , it is a good company to start your carrier with.
The type of work is totally dependent upon the Project what you get.
On-site Opportunities is more in Bangalore and Chennai Location as compared to other.
Yes salary is not too much high as compare to startups , but you are getting job security in TCS which is more important in the today's world.

I am an ex-TCSer and I think this is one of the most impartial reviews of TCS made by someone. I would just like to add that apart from the Ninja and Digital hirings, TCS also recruits from Tier-1 colleges (TCS's list of Tier-1 college is a bit different and it is entirely done by TCS itself) for its Research and Innovation department and offers an alluring package of almost 8 LPA.

In short I will categorize the people and answer. My answer would be pretty much the same if you are looking to work for any IT firm in India. It will specially be aimed towards guiding freshers. Also I am assuming that no matter what you have to join a company right now.
1. Those who are seriously preparing for GATE/CAT/UPSC etc as first priority, you may join a company if you really have to but dont fall into the heavy work trap. If you are smart dont express that, work only your part dont try to show your skills, dont come into the notice of other people as a hardworking or efficient employee because instead of letting you leave early (for you to prepare for your main goals) they will grill you more in office and overburden you with work. Hence work smart. (example: Even if you can get a job done in say 5hrs but you have been given the whole day then take your whole day and leave office on time). Be clear that you will not stay beyond working hours in the company. If you go at 9am leave at 6pm. Dont stretch or atleast show your discomfort incase you have to so that they dont take you for granted. Dont be swayed from your main aim by seeing the perks your colleagues are getting for doing extra work. Be smart. Also assume that if you go this way for long you will most probably not be getting the company opportunities like Onsite etc. One plus point about TCS is that it is one of THE companies you would like to join to atleast carry on with your preparation compared to any other company in India.
2. Those who are having competitve exams as second priority: See what exams you are preparing for and if they are really tough exams I would rather suggest you to either make your exam your first priority and follow part 1 above or its okay if you work hard in your company for a couple of years you will get to know what you really want to do. You can not in general do very good in both ways. you have 24hours a day and your future will be decided based on where you put your time into. One tip : Dont lose out on both ways trying to do good both ways.
3. Those who are looking for job opportunities : Look for job openings elsewhere where they are paying you more or atleast you get to work in good development projects. At the end if you dont find one join the best offer you have got but keep giving interviews or atleast trying to get an interview call. If you already have experience try to switch.
4. For whom TCS is a dream company : Join it and its pleasant to work in TCS. Much better than most other IT companies.
5. Those who want to make a career path to tech giant companies like Google/Amazon/Microsoft/Apple: Incase you want to join TCS and then thinking for this path this one is for you. You can join TCS, its not going to disqualify you from being a future Googler but it isn't going to help you in technical aspects either. You will come to know what I mean by the end. If you aspire to become a future Googler as a developer do what it takes to be that. You need to work on your programming a lot, core computer science concepts, do commendable projects, contribute to opensource. All this beside your daily office work. You should also try to switch to better companies which provide better technical work. You need to make yourself technically good. TCS definitely does not help you in technical skills but yes you will learn a lot of soft skills, how to behave and how to respect time. It will also provide you the industry experience to get started with. But at the end whether you get though the Google interview or atleast get a call for the interview totally depends upon what skills you can aquire yourself. But if you have no where else to go join TCS, work hard the right way you might end up sorting your life the way you wanted (or near to that).

Are they focussing their questions on Data structures algorithms dynamic programming or are they more focussed towards other aspects like Object oriented programming. You must find out what they are exactly looking for in their test. In general most companies have questions that test your skills in data structures & Algorithms. How well you are able to apply them to the problem to reduce time & space complexity and write efficient programs. So if you are unsure of what they might ask then I will recommend you to be strong at ANY ONE popular language(like Java,C++,python etc) and solve as many problems on DS algorithms. you can get started with HACKERRANK.COM

If you want to join tcs so I would suggest to reconsider ... From day one you would realise there are problems in this organisation and you might start hating your job.... Alot of micromanagement and office politics might go behind your back which you might not be aware off. Bad for laterals as well as a fresher unless you can compromise your growth in career to work-life balance.
It's not worthy to join in TCS neither as a fresher nor as an experienced candidate. No growth in your knowledge,wealth because there is no proper training in technologies and no proper projects.
Most worry thing in TCS is RMG, as you said they won't consider your interest. Just accept what RMG will tell.

Let them know this choice and take the best available project. You may reject projects if you dont find it interesting....it is not a crime.

When you say that RMG does not care about your aspirations, it is incorrect. TCS has several programs where in one can mention their aspirations and TCS through numerous number of trainings will help in skill development. But under normal circumstances a person in RMG thinks that they should be able to handle a certain role without any exposure. That is not how it works. Moreover the employees themselves are responsible for the treatment they receive from RMG. I personally know a lot of people who are in RMG for a long time and doesn't wish to be deputed in any project. Tell me how do you handle such people.

Being with TCS for more than 6 yrs and In IT 11+ yrs, would like to share my insight, like many have already highlighted it's a good company for stability and basic hikes. For one who is ambitions and not afraid to take risk I will not suggest TCS unless you get onsite if you desire. Pls do expect company will value your technical intrest, you will be just allocated by RMG with there half knowledge. Decent with onsite opportunity.
Pathetic work life balance I Am myself being TCS employ is writing this review on it. It has 10 working hours in which you have 1 hour lunch break. I would or have to work 12 hours even after being efficient at work. Pathetic company no work life balance. I would recommend you to work on startups as there you gain more knowledge. And TCS pays least among its competitors to its employees and treats them as slaves.

Yes its worth to learn, but again it depends on how and from where you are learning. Almost 90% of online training and coaching institutes who teach Data science are incapable of the same.

Also if you leave TCS you are blackballed for 10 years which is vengeful and expected from a company that supports KKK tactics. If you want a good company, try Cognizant....
Been with them for going on two years and they at least know better then to commit decrimination. The benefits are excellent, have an open door policy, respect minorities in the US, have a much better benefits package to T-Corrupt-s, bigger salary, management who cares, Cognizant has by far proven to me a better company then TCS

Never join in TCS, I'm a TCSer... It's 2 years waste of time for freshers. I dont know for experienced but, i never suggest TCS. I guess almost all MNC's would be like this. Never choose MNC's , even the work is more in start ups and medium company.. They r more far better than these very worst companies. No work and less salary. For freshers 22k only per month. No hikes. Just try to select for exam to get experience of NQT. Never ever join TCS. 👍

I would suggest please don't join tcs. You will go through various kind of intimidation and racist approaches and nothing will be done to solve them instead you will be troubled. There are managers and supervisor full of insecurities and it will be your constant job to work to satisfy their insecurities. Absolutely toxic. Please do not join tcs..I am working towards leaving this organization as soon as possible. I have 8+ years of experience with TCS in different projects and it is the same everywhere.

@@akhiljaiswal9468 For Onsite opportunities, there's no clear way to figure out how many people were sent onsite as their are many countries. If we go by H1b applications, TCS was the biggest sponsor in 2018 but Infosys wasn't far behind as well.
