Just checked your Strava. The fact that your heart rate was below 120 the whole way up is insane.
Well, I was hiking/walking mostly (and slowly climbing!) on the way up.....instead of running..... I will say that the HR strap obviously kicked loose on the way down though as that data is all bad (170-180). I don't think my max is much above 174 anymore. But 120 sounds about right for the climb. I did a workout on a trail run the day before this though and those HR spikes are good!
@@Vo2maxProductions some of the inclines were 50%! My heart rate would have been in 180’s! You’re awesome Sage!
Looks like there were some gnarly climbing sections there towards the end. Enjoyed the virtual hike while sipping my morning coffee! :)
Thanks Sage, one of your most spectacular vids, pure magic!
Dude I friggin love the mountain goats! And all the shots and the picture you got with them! You need to pay those goats a portion of ad revenue as co-stars hahaa
The start was great , I live and train in the UK, and during spring you on dawn runs you can often see Foxes or Deer , does wonders for lifting the mood. You could also see the gradiants well on today's post (steepness is often hard to capture on camera). Donation to go towards drinks for you guys at the end of the next session
thanks so much!!
Damn just solo that like a beast good job!!
Amazing endurance!
really cool experience with the mountain goats!
Looks kinda wild… 😮
😂😂😂 GOAT! He loved you 😊 insane to think you were in the hospital a year back. Unreal work sage! ❤ from Maine
Awesome!
I am always impressed when I see people climbing up and down such mountains wearing running shoes. 😮
The HOKA Speedgot 5 Trail Shoe does grip pretty well (HOKA also makes some hiking shoes)....and full disclaimer I'm sponsored by them and well aware of the risks on this kind of steep mountain. Climbing shoes they are not though !.....and there's for sure a consideration with traction on rock when a slip could be lethal. I had a fresh pair on with Vibram lugs. I also do own some hiking boots and real climbing shoes.
Great video as always!
Epic adventure, amazing views gobsmacked at the elevation hugh. Brillant to watch
How did the GOAT get there without wearing a Hoka shoe just barefoot? Hahahhahahaha
so early that the video doesn't even show me a thumbnail
I'm behind on watching vlogs lol. I really want to know what it was like going back down. Looked quite scary from my couch viewpoint haha. You're brave for doing these technical 14'ers solo. At this stage in my life, I'm lucky if I can do the "mellow" 13'ers and `14'ers. It's been a while but I hope to do some summits again!
Epic! What a place to meet Messi! 😂
what camera and shoes did you use for this hike?
Dude, that was an uncomfortable watch 😅
