Thanks, I enjoyed the review. Got an Evercade VS arriving soon on Saturday. Have already ordered a few cartridges including this one in anticipation of the console's imminent arrival. Really looking forward to setting it all up and checking out these games. The best thing will be being able to play Gateway To Apshai again after 40 years!!! I had it on the Atari 400 and played it to death. So happy to see it making an appearance on the C64 cart for Evercade!

I absolutely love Alwa's Awakening. I own it on Switch, Steam, and also the 8bit version that comes on the limited edition USB for NES! Love Cathedral too, but Alwa's kicks the llamas ass. Then there is Alwa's Legacy too which is a direct sequel.
I would love to see Shovel Knight released on the Evercade! Cathedral made me realize, how great this game would be on the console. Btw.: I have noticed that you tend to struggle with ladders in Alwa's Awakening. Is it a controls issue?
PDubs , I’m still on the fence about getting the EXP. I love new handhelds , and the collector in me wants it. But , I of course don’t need it. These games look great. But , I’m wondering if I wouldn’t be better off just buying the Alwa’s 2-pack for the Switch ? It’s only $150. But , I could get some pretty cool 2D retro style collection carts for the switch for the same amount. Alwa’s , Megaman , Castlevania Advance , Owlboy , etc. What say you ? Is the EXP a buy or pass ?
