Hi guys! Its October, and my fav month to paint mushrooms! I love Autumn (though it doesn't exist where I live) so I really wanted to use fall colours for my paintings this month. Today I decided to paint Porcini Mushrooms, for the really cute plump shape as well as the nice brown shades and I hope you guys enjoy this video as much as I enjoyed painting it ^_^

Edit to add: You're also extremely good at giving just the right amount of realistic tips on how to problem-solve or adjust things while working. I truly appreciate that aspect of your paintalongs.
So often, us not-quite-beginners try to follow along, but then if something goes awry even slightly, we get lost and discouraged. Whereas working out those inconsistencies with our previous expectations while we are painting is so often a core activity of painting with watercolours.
And, at least to me, a major reason I enjoy the medium so much. Watercolours surprise me, but then also allow me to gently nudge them towards the inspiration that I got from that surprise. ☘️

Aww so glad! Yes you are right! You can use any watercolour brand you have :)) I used to start with koi and pentel, and I still go back to pentel from time to time

Amazing tutorial. And i loved the tip to do the middle darker and giving the illusion of folded leaves by putting darker colour in random. Going to try that in my works.

So adorable. I love all those color mixtures and It' s perfect timing for the fall season. This is the first time Ive noticed you using a rigger/ script/ liner brush. Its so funny because I spent all day researching and pricing this type of brush. Thank you for the usual Friday Joy. 👍🍄🍁🍂🌞
Thanks Tracy!! I bought this in Japan a few years back, it's very handy to paint branches because it keeps more paint load on the long bristles and can randomise the crookedness of the branches :p
