Thank you, Got more information about my pending rebuild on a 2100 in this video than all the others I've watched combined. I never would have taken the shafts out to inspect them and sure enough mine has a vacuum leak on the side of the carb when spraying with cleaner. Thanks Guys!

hi just wondering if this is still an active posting or not. If so I have a 4100 that I bought from a auto parts store that of course is a rebuild. This is the second one I have gotten since the first leaked down once you turned of the car. Well this newest one is doing the same thing. Car runs perfectly as well as starts right up after sitting for a few hours and is cold. But when I turn it off say to get a tank of gas and come back to start it up and it acts like it's flooded. Very hard to start once it does smokes a bit runs rough and have to keep your foot on the accelerator till it clears up. Then runs perfectly again. Any idea on what could be the cause of 2 of these rebuilt carbs doing the same thing

Yep, still active! What can happen on these old Autolites is that they can "percolate" the fuel into the engine on a hot start. You can try a plastic spacer and possibly a heat shield between the carb and the spacer. The more space you put between the carb and the intake, the better your chance are for it to not hot soak. Also make sure that your floats are at the factory setting. You may need to play with them to get them just so.

if u r not actor then why r u trying to act? Other than that the videos are good

Not an actor not "trying to act". We shoot in the moment. What happens happens. We do not use a script. The way my dad and I are is how we are. If you could come to the shop (and we would be glad to have you) you'd see that.
